    How you clean the tube

    • @donnaclifford7691
      @donnaclifford7691 3 года назад +1

      t Smith remove the tube, pour a small amount of soapy water in one end while holding the other end up, move the soap and water through the tube then rinse and hang to dry

    It is recommended to change every 3 months but how can I tell how old the tubing is? My new tubing gets mixed up with the older tubing. Are any markings that indicate manufacture date?

    How do you shut off the auto shut off sometimes my mask leaks at night and shuts off and I wake up and that's not good for someone that stops breathing

    I understand where the oxygen hooks up but the manual is terrible. I’d like to see how to remove the cap and run oxygen line.

    OH MY UNIVERSE HOW DO YOU WASH IT PLEASE IN THE GAME OF ALL THINGS GOOD HOW DO YOU WASH THE FRIGGEN THING? You don't wash the ELECTRICAL COMPONENT? Right?

    • @JohnsDIYPlayground

      Actually it's made to be submerged and washed. I have this same tubing with the heater feature. I take the tubing in the shower with me every weekend and use a funnel with some baby shampoo to run through the inside of the tubing then slosh it back and forth. Then rinse it really well and hang it up to dry. Once per week is working great for me.

    How do you clean the tube due to the chip to the chip at the end? I know you can't get it wet.

    I have the heated tube and would like to know if you can autoclave the tubing periodically. I have the autoclave already.

    Why is my tube getting holes and looks like melted

  • @boondocksaint4563

    The tubing has an electrical component on it. No matter where I search, I can't see how to properly clean this specific tubing. It seems like we should not get water on the connector that you point at in this video...the connector component that allows the heating of the tube. Please make a video of that.

    • @JohnsDIYPlayground
      @JohnsDIYPlayground 4 года назад

      You can get the connector wet and submerge the tubing for cleaning. I use a funnel in the shower with some baby shampoo. Just let it air dry and ensure the connector is dry before re-inserting it into your CPAP.

      I just started using this CPAP device. The woman instructed me on cleaning the hoses but didn't mention this connector. Is it safe to expose this connector to ozone?

      You don't find any specific instructions because it's no different than cleaning a regular hose. Read your manual or do some googling where you can find endless pages on this topic

    • @dontblameme6328

      No... It will self destruct and trigger a nuclear reaction if it gets wet.
      Geez.... Think people!

    Does anyone know how to make the the connection between the mask (Hard plastic tubing) and tube (Loose Rubber tube connection) tighter? I have the Airfit F20 Full Face Mask and the Climate line air, and the connection is soo loose, it disconnects almost evey night. The design is terrible (especially for the lrice you pay for them).

    My heated tube was $40.00😳. Can I order on thru your company? I found this vid because I’m trying to find a way to set the heat setting of the tube, and this didn’t answer that question.

    I’m new to CPAP. The test machine I used for a weak had the heated tube and I found it too warm.
    The government resmed airsence 10 I just got doesn’t have the heated tube and the air seemed fairly cool.
    If I got the heated one can I adjust the heat level?
    Is it just the humidity level that changes the heat? Like the more humidity, the higher the warmth of the air? I also woke up with a dry throat (winter Canada) so increasing humidity would be good anyway.
    Does increasing humidity increase heat?

    Is it ok to get the connectors at each end of the tubing wet? I haven't cleaned my tubing yet because I am worried about getting the sensors wet.

    • @ericquan6352
      @ericquan6352 6 лет назад +4

      I have washed it with dish washing soap and submerged it fully. I do it at least once a week for the last 6 months with no problems. I make sure I fully dry it before I attach it back to my CPAP

      CHARLIE OD This heated tubing is lightweight. Definitely not heavier than my non-heated tube.

    • @dontblameme6328
      @dontblameme6328 3 года назад +1

      False... It's quite heavier than standard hose and also noticably stiffer.

    Stupid question but when it’s working, does the tube feel a bit warm if you touch it? I’m asking because mine feel actually colder then the room temperature if I touch it, my airsense 10 is set to manual, 27ºC (80ºF) and humidity to 5 (my room is at 21ºC (70ºF)
    Just worry my tube or the CPap is not working well

    • @annaewers8940

      If you have the heated tubing, you don't have to turn it on. Set the tube temperature on your cpap to zero and it won't heat up, so it will be exactly like the regular tubing.

    Dumb question: What's the difference or advantage in using a heated tube instead of the normal one? I'm new on CPAP

    • @funfor1life
      @funfor1life Год назад

      I'm new, too but I think it allows to avoid having a sore throat and basically catching a cold through a too cold air flow.

    • @chuckdumars6894
      @chuckdumars6894 Год назад

      @@funfor1life In cold weather climates it makes a big difference with providing comfortable slightly humid air. In the summertime it doesn't really matter.
      The heated hose is $46. online. Your supplier shoud be able to get you one for minimal copay. Govt/Medicare rules are to provide a new hose tubing every 90 days. Consumable mask parts are provided 2 per month and usually ship 6 every 90 days.
      A complete mask replacement every 6 moths. Hope this helps.
