Genuinely the best knot tying vid I’ve seen on RUclips (or anywhere) LFG is a great teacher, I love the potential the googan lab has and can’t wait for more knowledge 💯
I live on the Oregon coast. Use this knot constantly for heavy weight, improved clinch just breaks right off with the cast. Gotta love the uni. Y’all should come fish the Pacific for some monster lings sometime it’s a blast!
I’ve been fishing for 30 some years so I know a lot more than just the basics but this is a great video for beginners LFG u did a fantastic job teaching and using the paracord made it really easy to see what ur doing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@MrMultiPlatform Yes ANOTHER. They posted their first video and it was awesome and then they posted ANOTHER video and it was also awesome. There doesn’t have to be 57 videos to use the word another. Just 1 more in addition to 1 or more of the same kind...
This is my favorite knot of all time I’ll use the double on heavier baits 1/2 oz and above I use the double but that’s just me. If you don’t know the double uni is 10 times instead of 5 times going around the line
The downside of Palomar Knot is it 8% weaker than the Uni Knot. Normal days of fishing that doesn’t matter. But when you big fish, it means the difference of landing that bigger fish or not. And don’t get me wrong, I still prefer tying the Palomar because it is easier and cleaner to tie.
Please do a video on the trilene knot. That is my preferred knot for jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits,Ect. But as far as a top water lure knot goes. The Palomar is great but so is the double shindo knot by Gerald swindell.
A lot of times when I am tying a uni on heavier mono it gets kind of kinked at the top when I cinch it down even if I wet it really good with spit and cinch slowly. Any ideas how to lessen that kinking?
I gather, from watching several videos, that it doesn't matter whether you make the loop on the standing side or the tag side. Everybody seems to just continue on into the loop in the direction of the curvature of the line.
I still hate this knot 😂😂 still doesn't kill me to rewatch. Easy but i always lose my grip tying it and have to start all over and just tie the old faithful palomar or clinch
I do two things to my knots. First, I put the line through the eyelet twice befor starting the knot thereby spreading the pressure at the eyelet over two lengths of line instead of one. Second, I put a small drop of superglue on the knot so it cannot slip. The line will break befor the knot breaks or slips with these two steps. Enjoy!
I’ve never had a Uni knot break off. By far my favorite! Great tips!
THANKS FOR USING CORD I CAN SEE!!! I’ve always wanted to know how👍😎
Using the bigger rope and hook makes it a lot easier to learn thank you guys for that
Excellent Job LFG, thanks for using larger line makes it so much easier to see.
The the only knot I use and it works wonders
Great knowledge coming from a googan legend! 👍💯
Great tips love this channel it's going to help me a lot!

Great series for the new fisherman. Good thinking and well executed.

Whoop whoop
Thanks, I’ve had issues with all the other knots but this really helped me figure this one out!
Nice to see the OG Squad who built the brand.
I love the Uni Knot
Nice tutorial, sir! That is one of the cleanest knot tying videos I have seen. :)

You're the best example I've watch several videos and now I finally know how to tie a Uni Knot thank you
Now I know what I’ll be doing all weekend during my free time.
You should do how much leader you should have on in what water clarity
Uni knot is the best knot ever👍👍👍
Is this a good knot to use with braid?
Thank you for using paracord so it’s easier to see what you are doing!! Best knot video so far that I’ve seen.
So happy y’all made this educational Chanel!!
its ok; bring back the googan games and matt kendrick for the googan squad channel
GOOGAN !!!!!!
Can't wait to have tips on line choices. Lines to use as a backer to main line on baitcasters and such
This channel is such a good idea
such a good idea for a channel, keep it up
I watched this video and finally figured out how to tie it and yesterday I caught my pb a 19.5in 4.2lb Largie
Another awesome Googan Lab video!!!

Thanks for the amazing vids
Love the googans
My favorite knot
The key element that was missing... Awesome
keep these videos coming!!!!!
Great job on the vid. Also, why would anybody dislike this video unless you are just a hater of life.
This was an essential add to the line up guys! This channel is exactly what y’all have been missing
What’s up boys
it works so well
Can I tie this with 300 lb 1.6 mm monofilament? Or must use crimps for that?
Thank you for not using fishing line in the tutorial. That stuff can be so hard to see. Paracord was a great choice
Great vid, thanks for sharing! 👍
Lfg could teach me anything!
Pls keep the tips coming

Yessss!!!!
Googan Lab🔥🔥🔥🔥
I always use this knot
I normally use the palomar knot but i’m definitely gonna have to give this knot a try
Nice
I mainly tie the palomar but it never hurts to know other knots
Best channel by far
Hey next video can you explain the braid to fluro knot and how long of a leader to use?
Thais is a great idea for a channel
Make a tutorial style video of how to fish and break down a lake in a boat. I got a nitro and I struggled at amistad

Can y’all make a video of how to use a fish finder

Unpopular opinion: I stand by improved clinch knot, love the tutorials though for some new knots🔥
Nice clip
Is that the Mike long rig your tying up?
The uni knot is the knot I use 97% of the time. Even with a leader, I tie a uni to uni
That’s me
@@bpoutdoorsboys you can’t beat the Uni
Do a googan lab on leader knots
Y’all should really consider making and releasing skirt material for making custom jig/spinnerbait skirts
like the channel
lets go
I can reliably tie 2 knots. A bowline, and a uni knot. So that’s what I use.
I gather, from watching several videos, that it doesn't matter whether you make the loop on the standing side or the tag side. Everybody seems to just continue on into the loop in the direction of the curvature of the line.
When is that Googan tungsten going to drop?
Nice Aggie ring
3rd vid i watched on this sub. Will LFD be the only instructor? Would like to c Flair or Jon and Rob too. (forgit AP LOL)
LFG seems to be really really good at this
@@jessthomas9414 not my favorite though

Mhm that Lab stuff
Kind of embarrassing but I only use the Palomar Knot, double uni is my go to leader knot though!
Make more videos
Why did you change the camera angle
