for me....i deep in love ..vanilla in this perfume..Cuir Béluga Guerlain..old bottle.....it is simple but I love...Indult Tihota...
Hello Kicki, watching your video I have realized that I have no full bottle of vanilla forward fragrances. I own Guerlain's Double Spiritueuse Vanilla as a miniature (part of a l'Art & la Matière miniature set I bought). The vanilla is beautiful in this fragrance but I find the fragrance way too simple to wear it! But I do own many scents with vanilla as a supporting note. Currently,I am in a phase where I am looking for more complex fragrances and I do not think straight forward would satisfy my needs
Same here! Vanilla is allowed in the mix:-)
Vanilla is my favourite note - always has been. My favourites are Un Bois Vanille Serge Lutens (woody), Spiritueuse Double Vanille (on the nose) and Couleur Vanille - the last one is a cool vanilla, if that makes sense. Vanilla Diorama is also lovely. I could go on and on about vanillas here, but these for me are the best.
Thanks for commenting!
That's why I was so happy to find this channel. Can't handle vanilla notes very well 🤢
I quite like Cecile Zakokian's work and have Epic 56, Remember Me, Stairway To Heaven and Material. I'd love to sample Café Cabanel as i don't have any coffee in my collection.
I agree it's hard to love all of a perfumers work but i own 8 from Francesca Bianchi; her dna's very polarising but i love it ❤.
I got Material for £150 and love it as the vanilla's not suffocating. 😅
Café Cabanel is really good, actually. Just finished a decant. But won't go buying a bottle since I have so many other nice perfumes. The coffee in Café Cabanel is quite subtle.
I bought Bosca Vanilla recently, it’s a lovely scent, very similar to vanille insensee
I used to own a bottle of Vanille Insensée. It is very nice, but I rarely wore so I sold it.
I have a sample of Amouage Material that I don't think I had tested or worn so I sprayed in on a strip and totally smell the vanilla. This may sound odd, but it reminded me of the vanilla in Ani with no ginger, just the vanilla. Maybe it's that Middle Eastern vibe and the ambery notes. I wonder if vanilla is used to soften and round out a perfume if it's just used in small amounts? I have to tell you what I did! I bought a 25 dollar bottle of a dupe of Oud Satin Mood after hearing a raving review and got it yesterday and darned if it isn't good, haha! That was cheaper than buying a sample of the original. I won't be upset if I end up not liking it. In case you are wondering, it's Fragrance World Barakkat Satin Oud. I only smelled a spray of OSM at Nordstoms a while back and can't remember it enough to compare except it was super strong and I liked it. Obviously this can't possibly be as rich. oxJulia
Material and Ani were both created by Cecile Zarokian which could explain the similarities 🤷♀️
@@kathywitter6076 That makes sense; thank you for that!
I was just going to write that! @@kathywitter6076
Some people have no filter, I had someone tell me they could smell awful pouch tobacco when I wore Shalimar Tonka the other day (work colleague) 😂
Haha, I would never just blurt something like that out.
