Your R|AM should be in the 2nd and 4th slots. This will give you the best speed for your RAM.
Technically true, but iirc I did this so I can slot extra sticks in 3 and 4 without removing the cpu cooler 💁♂️
Actually it is in dual channel for my mobo it turns out

I’ve been fascinated by Sim Racing for a while now, I went to f1 Arcade last week and I got the bug. I’m going to start building a sim racing set up in the next year.

@@Kireth I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with i7 10750K, 16GB RAM and RTX3060 at 85Watt TGP but it still performs tons better than my old desktop with GTX970 :)
And although the color representation of the screen isn't really to write home about, I do love that it's a 144Hz display with a response of 3ms :D

Great video.I have a question, do I need a rtx 4070 for VR sim racing using a quest 2? Or is an rtx 4060 enough? I don’t want to overkill it as I won’t be using high refresh rate monitors (only the vr headset at 90hz), thanks

I race on Iracing with a acer nitro5 laptop. It's got a 1650gpu 8gigs of ram and a 9th gen cpu I do believe. But my comment is that I get 80fps on medium setting at 1080 and I have it hooked up hdmi to my 55inch TV. So u can do itacing with 8gigs of ram.
How well does it perform? Looking at starting a sim racing setup on a budget
@@levibridges6188 it can do it but definitely need to install 8 more gigs of ram. But even without it I'm getting 75 to 80 fps at 1080. The big tracks with a full grid can give it some slight trouble but it's very rare it's an issue

So for a new build to run a 2k 34" screen for Iracing and Assetto comp should I wait until next 2023 for DDR5 or build now?

Is there any way to get iRacing on Linux?? I think I read somewhere that it might be possible on Pantheon? Maybe? lol
I don't think so which is surprising as there is a Steam version so Valve would presumably love to make that happen!
