I agree, classes would be super cool!! Most youtubers make acting videos and act like a professional, when in reality they have no experience. But some youtubers like Makayla are actually super helpful!
Hey.. this is lovely and your acting is effortless. Please can you do a video on “ how to analyze monologues that have no extra information like those found on scripts”
In monologues, if there’s no extra information such as character descriptions, relationship to the other character, what happened just before the monologue, etc. I personally like to use as many context clues as I can that are given within the text and then make up the rest of the left-out, extra info with my imagination. It allows you to be in control of the scene. Hope this helps!

Great job! The only thing I would change is not the acting itself. Before you hit "Record", you press your phone to where you want it to focus right? Once it's focused, press and hold on your focal point until you see an AE/AF Lock banner on the screen. Then you should see a bar underneath or on the side to lock exposure and focus. That way you don't have those colour and exposition changes every time you do something off-screen. If it doesn't affect your probability of booking a job, then don't worry about it. Beyond that, keep up the good work!
You can take great headshots by using just a smartphone, preferably iPhone. All you need is a tripod, your phone (and portrait mode pref.) , lighting (either natural light from a window or using a lighting kit) and that’s it! And make sure to blur your background while editing your photo to make sure the focus is on your face! The best app I recommend is Adobe Photoshop which is free!

I was in the same situation 2 months ago so, You Can use white background You dont need an agent to audition but its better And tell your mom that this is your dream and that you take this seriously but makayla made a video about it

This video was definitely motivating! I’ve been thinking about starting an acting career for about the past year or two now it’s literally my dream and all I think about 😩but I’m such a shy person I’m trying to find a way to break out of that😩 plus I’m 19 turning 20 this year and I know most actors start off as child actors but I feel with hard work anything is possible.

I hope to one day be a really good screenwriter so that I can cast myself into a Netflix original one day, but everyone in my life so far has told me that being in this industry means serving tables until I’m in my 30’s. I don’t have any acting experience thus far, but I’m considering acting camp this summer. I just feel like no one’s there to support my dream or they think that it’s just a phase, but I’ve known for a long time that I want to pursue a career in the creative industry; not for fame and money, but for me.

The best way to find an agent is through a referral. So maybe ask some friends in your acting class about their agents and maybe they will refer you to them which will have a way better chance of you getting one. Also, if you book a paying gig you could also find a good talent agency in your area with a google search and email them that you want them to represent you for this job. You have a higher chance of getting an agent this way
So I am in South Africa, there is this one big film production company called Ferguson Films. I watched this video back in Jan, watched it again in May, I think then again few days before you uploaded your last video, and all 3 times I watched it, I had self tapes auditions to shoot for roles on shows by this production house....guess wat????????????? I booked 2 of them, thanks to you and your brilliant mind and effort... Thanks Miss Lyziak
This is a wonderful self-tape overall! 💕 I love your smooth transition of emotions and your change of eyeline based on where your corresponding actor was in the scene. On the occasions when I truly can't find a reader, I've recorded myself doing the other person's lines and that worked well enough
