Three legends, three good new members (not only substitutes), a new album out - Colosseum lives! 51 years ago, Chris Farlowe sang: 'I don't want Baby Clempson to mess with me.' Thank god he didn't. Now the 'baby' is 72, The Voice is 81 and Mark Clarke soon will get 72 years of age, still vividly present. Colosseum lifetime fans like me can only be thankful for that. R.I.P. Dick, R.I.P. Jon, and most recently R.I.P. Barbara Thompson, who sadly passed away on 9 July 2022 after 25 years of fighting against the parkinson disease. This band in all it's line-ups will for ever be a part of Britain's great prog, blues and jazz history.

yesterday evening seen in Hamburg. I'v called all my friends, that they take the chance to go to a concert in the near...so great, I love them so much.
Das Zusammenspiel von Bass und Gitarre ist einfach nur großartig! Schade, daß die drei anderen nicht mehr dabei sein können. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn Dave Greenslade noch die Kraft und die Leidenschaft gehabt hätte, seinen Platz in der Band einzunehmen. ❤

Yes, the man’s a monster. One of all time favourite singers. He gone along with all the trends and if he sang the phone book it would still sound soulful. 😁
At that time i thought this song was the best rocksong ever made "'Çolosseum Live"..Legend. On this recording somewhere youd donty hear Clem Clemson anymore...sad.
I was a Colosseum addict since I was 15, now I am 68. Always loved Chris Farlowe's voice, powerful and unique. I have collected numerous LPs and CDs of the band and solo. But now, with him being 82/83, his voise is almost disappearing, which is a real pity but due to his age. So sorry to say this, but he's no longer able to tour in my opinion and so I'm not willing to pay 100€ (for2) im Sept 23 in Oldenburg.
What a band. How serious people and musicians. I am glad that they accompanied me since 1971 or 1072. Thank you gentlemen.

Saw them in Blackpool Summer 1971 just before I left for London. Had sax lessons from Dick Heckstall Smith in the late 80s
