I see. I actually realized that the first view. I've noticed that's been happening a lot lately, where people make animated versions of in game fights. I'm pretty sure the Touhou 3D dogfight was the inspiration for this surge of canon animations.
This is really MMD?! I usually don't exclaim things in this manner but this video is on such a completely different level to any attempt at making a touhou fight using MMD that it has left me in genuine awe. This is easily on the same level as the Utsuho dogfight. If I didn't have such a biased viewpoint I'd say that it is leaps and bounds above it, especially when it comes to some of the effects. It's also a really nice rendition of an actual danmaku fight to top everything off.
Just now, I may just have been blown to smithereens because of the overflowing awesomeness that took the form of a Master Spark coming right through my screen.
To "some" extent, even in the Phantasm OVA's by Team Shanghai, Reimu is portrayed as the sort of character who is experienced, someone who's seen it all and wisened up, but also, gives little damn about the things which are transpiring, because of her experience. For someone with a job of having to keep things in balance, to judge things objectively as a shrine maiden, it's an important quality to have I believe; to have your experienced will, dictate what should happen next.

This video easily took months to complete and was done by someone who clearly used MMD a lot, and had a very good video editing program (or is just very skilled at video editing). MMD is definitely more than capable at producing videos like this, but only if the person behind it is patient enough to put in the work. Several kudos to Kiroro :D

My only gripe with this video is that the music seems a bit sloppy, mainly with the guitars. Everything else is spot on. The animation, the effects, the camerawork. Can't wait to see if he continues this!

It's part of one of Yukari's spell cards: Zen Butterfly in the Buddhist temple. The symbol is a backwards Swastika which is the Buddhist symbol for peace. That symbol has existed far longer than the Fascists who took it for their own.
One thing I could say, magnificent. I love the how they did with the animation. Looks brilliant and nice. Also, the music is very interesting. I wonder if there is a link to the music. Overall, this video is certainly worth it. Kudos to the people who did this excellent job. Wish they make Sakuya vs Youmu version though. Knives vs swords. Much more epic. :)

That's because fans on both sides of the ocean tend to like portraying Reimu as a bitch when that's not really true and is kind of unfair to her position. As Hakurei Shrinemaiden she can't take sides with any one group or individual. Her job is to keep balance in Gensoukyo and to do that she needs to remain objective (like Dylan said), She couldn't rule out the possibility that Marisa caused the incident just because they're friends and really, Marisa didn't help at all in the canon convo.

On an unrelated note, this is great video that could have been the best MMD video I've seen yet, if not for the mediocre music.
3 people were blinded by the awesomeness of Ultimate MMD and danmaky that they accidentally pressed dislike.
And now a decade later we have eternal night. Which could be seen as a remake of this by another person. (Yes I know it's from imperishable night)
