This is one of the most beautiful classical guitar pieces. And Görans version is probably the best! The young virtuosos are often overdoing these kind of romantic and poetic pieces. Göran plays it in a very very musical and emotional way. Perfect! So great to see Göran still active and doing fantastic videos. I saw him in the mid 1990s in Uppsala. Tack för ditt gitarrspelande 🤗
Dear Göran, what a beautiful piece and you played it with your heart!!!. From 2'57" - 3'23" you almost made me cry. Julia must be a beautiful girl and Barrios must have loved her dearly. Alll is in this immortal piece of music. Thank you so much for spreading beauty and making the world a better place. With lots of love and my best wishes. Paul 🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤
And what happened after 3'23"? 😂 From 3'24" on it doesn't touch you? 🤣🤣🤣 Or before 2'57"? Strange, funny comment 🤪 I am touched by Barrios and Göran from beginning to end ❤
Of course all the piece touched me, but that special part had even stronger impact, it almost made me cry. Hope I made myself understood. @@andreaslechner-riedl
It has been one of my favourite classical guitar pieces ever since I first heard it many years ago. It would certainly be a strong contender for the title "world's most beautiful guitar piece".
Dear Göran! Yes, this is one of the most beautiful pieces written for guitar. And your interpretation is so delicate and lovely. Thank you for the inspiration.👏🙏
I first heard this piece in a compilation of midi files, and despite them being so low quality I was drawn to this piece in particular. It's just so warming. Decided then that it was probably the best guitar composition I had ever listened to. That was over 5 years ago. Began learning how to play it today.
Come sempre una interpretazione eccellente ❤❤....la suono anche io, naturalmente non come te, ed è veramente un pezzo bellissimo. Aspetto sempre con ansia i tuoi nuovi video, perché so che saranno sempre una bellissima sorpresa. Grazie Sig. Göran ❤❤
Very nice indeed. I think this and Confesion are my two favourite Barrios. Both have similar energy to me, there is a sort of unsatisfied longing in both, something that captures the whole of life. I started skipping the repeat in the second section of this many many years ago, and then - as happens with such things - I forgot I was even doing it. I'm beginning to think there is something fundamentally missing without it. At the end of the second time around, where it becomes brighter, this has less meaning without the ending from the first time around, where it stayed minor.
"captures the whole of life" my thoughts exactly. The mental narrative I have when playing this piece is: The A section is a young man meeting a woman and settling down. The B section is more turbulent and represents the difficulties of being an adult, raising a family, dealing with work pressures, etc. I play the A section reprise more slowly and flatly so that it represents an old man reflecting back on his life. I think it makes for a compelling narrative musically, though I may never get it recorded!
Hi Goran! Just found your rendition of Barrio's Julia Florida. For me, Julia Florida IS #1 most beautiful guitar piece ever written. It reminds me of when my grandmother died. I had the track on repeat until sadness left my body and only piece of mind remained. I loved your interpretation. Thanks for the great video🙌🏼✨
May be this is one the most beautiful among the pieces written for guitar. But honestly, the competition among the pieces for lute is great too:) And it all depends on the person who performs it. When a class guitarist like G. S. plays, any piece is good.
wow. this seems to be the best video of Julia Florida in youtube. I am listening this several several times in the last 15 days. My little boy use to sleep listening to this in repeat mode. :)
So very nicely done Goran, truly a beautiful performance of one of the most beautiful compositions in the entire repertoire. Ahhh Barriios, I hear this piece in my head *all* the time when I am doing otherwise ordinary mundane things, hauntingly beautiful and exquisite, much like young Julia must have been herself. Thank you and bravissimo 😌
It is a sublime piece of music from one of my favourite composers. Incredibly difficult to play well here but Goran delivers a fantastic performance. Hats off Sir 🙏
Thanks for posting. Your performance of Julia Florida is very very beautiful. I have some old great LPs which you recorded. One of them La catedral and Vals No3 are included.
I’m currently working on this piece and finding it very difficult to play fluidly. Thank you for posting this. I appreciate having the guidance of someone who plays it so beautifully.
Beautifully rendered melody. The fingerings and techniques required to play with much nuance and poise are a little more than many very dedicated players could master in a lifetime. Outstanding.
It is beautifully played and Goran is super class performer. But if you really like the piece you should attempt it - Barrios was a guitarist and this piece does fall under the fingers quite naturally.
It is truly awe-inspiring. Your artistic skills have magnificently illuminated the passion and warmth exuding from this piece. I felt a profound connection and sincerely appreciate your willingness to share it. Many accolades to you, sir.
Do agree Göran! This one of the most beautiful pieces! But it`s hard to list all of the gems we know!
Barrios wrote the best guitar pieces. So emotional
Thanks 🎶

How's it going so far? I learned it several months ago. It's really nice!
@@dartme18 midway through. It's honestly not difficult so I'm enjoying it. The trouble is the perfect legato it requires.
Certainly ONE of the most beautiful guitar compositions... and also a beautiful performance, Göran!
Thanks 🙏
In any case, a very beautiful interpretation. It was a pleasure to listen to.👏👏
