    SONICAKE Expression Pedal VolWah is an active volume/wah pedal for those people who think that a full-size, metal-casing Wah pedal is heavy as balls and simply took too much space on the pedal board.
    Pure analog circuit design combines an active volume and a vintage wah in 1 mini-sized pedal, which is extremely compact, a true space-saver for your crowded pedal board.
    The volume part of the pedal is an active circuit, which would save you from a lot of trouble of impedance mismatch issues.
    The wah part of the pedal is going after the iconic Crybaby style, vintage wah sound, which is dynamic and responsive, meanwhile employed widely by guitarist from all genres.
    The pedal is made of hard plastic, with a lightweight casing but yet truly robust and well-built. Two LED light shows the working state of the pedal, indicating which mode the pedal is engaged with.
    Hope you enjoy it…

    RUclips never ceases to amaze me. I just got rid of my Dunlop mini volume, because I wanted to get this pedal. I thought: “there’s no way RUclips will have any videos about this random Amazon pedal” but here we are 😂 awesome stuff!

    I love that you’re using a Tele as that’s what I’ll be using mainly. I just bought this pedal off aliexpress for about $50aud although I’ll probably still buy a crybaby at some point, I’m only learning to play and I don’t want to drop $170 on a pedal when my current guitar was only $200, but when I’m better at playing I’ll buy better gear. This one seems pretty kick ass though, and it’ll definitely do what I’m looking for, for at least all of this year. The wah sounds actually really awesome as well, looks like I got a good deal. I’ll run mine through another pedal for a valve amp sound, and it’ll be awesome.

    Is the volume pedal active, meaning, can it give a volume boost over unity, and if so how much.
    Really nice playing in the intro. You clearly still understand what it is all about.

    Does the wah boost the signal? How much if so?
    I’m not a fan of most wah’s adding too much vol boost. Wish they all came with a volume pot for the wah circuit.

    I purchased the Fazy Cream which has excellent tone though not as versatile as the upcoming Keeley. I am repairing my Vox 847 so not to shell out $100+ for a wah.
    How does the VolWah’s wah compare to the icons (Dunlop & Vox)?
    Only thing keeping me on the fence is the “no battery” issue. I don’t keep the wah on the board. I like it long-corded and separate at the front of the chain.

      @@curtvogue5720 well, the wah boosts the mids and the setup could be already noisy. Either way i’m also interested in the answer.

    What is the difference between a volume pedal versus a wah (wah?) pedal?

    • @thepedalpicassos
      @thepedalpicassos  2 года назад +2

      Hi mate! When it’s in volume mode… it works like a volume knob… you just control it with your foot! When you click the switch, it swaps over to being a wah pedal… a wah pedal lets you sweep through a thin band of frequencies and give you that quacky wah wah sound! I hope that helps!!

  • @sergiunita4257
    @sergiunita4257 Год назад +1

    Quick question - How do you turn it on? I just got two VolWahs and none of them seem to work. I pressed the pedal but the LEDs remain turned off.

    • @thepedalpicassos
      @thepedalpicassos  Год назад +1

      Mine had a switch under the toe position… you just push down on it and it clicks… I can’t double check for you because it’s at my brothers house!

    I've had this pedal for a couple years now. The pot got scratchy after a few months, easy enough to clean. The power jack though... if you touch/use the pedal, it makes a scratchy noise because of poor contact or poor design of the power jack. Heads up for anyone looking.
