    I have had this machine for 20+ years and love it. Well with the money. I have made miles of pasta with it.

    Finally, someone who explained about the plastic combs underneath. Mine came with one not installed and I didn't know what to do with it. Also, with the comb not installed,the pasta will stick to that roller so it is functionally necessary.

    Bro, thank you so much for the comb assembly lol mine had all the combs fall out when I picked it up from the box and I had the hardest time figuring out why in the world it wouldn’t cut my fettuccine until I saw this vid, so thanks man you helped me a lot.😂

      For sure! Glad our video was able to help you, the machine would be definitely not be as useful without the combs 😅😂

    Thanks for the video, it’s great to figure out how to take apart the pasta cutter part and clean the thing. I didn’t know there was so much dough stuck around the plastic comb. One question though, how to clean the other part of the machine (the portion which presses the dough but doesn’t cut it)?

      Hi Hao, sorry for the delayed response. In general, most of the machine doesn't need to be cleaned more than a dry towel or brush to wipe to get rid of any dough or flour dust. I believe they specify that you shouldn't wet the rollers. Hope that helps!

    Hi! I have this machine and I cannot get it to roll out my pasta into a sheet. Can you do an instructional video on this? I have rolled it seemingly thin enough to fit into the roller but it does not grab it when I put it in the roller and crank it.

      @@rebekahloper7625 I gave up trying to use the Atlas machine to roll it in a thin sheet and ended up just rolling with a rolling pin, put it through the fettuccine slot and voila it went through and had fresh pasta for dinner tonight! Disappointed though that I couldn't figure out the sheet roller. If you find a RUclips video that answers it, could you kindly post it here?

      @@christinelund-molfese Hi Christine! Thanks for your question and suggestion, we'll definitely add that to our list to do a more machine focused instruction video - though in all honesty we're still pretty new to the fresh pasta scene ourselves. Some quick initial thoughts on why the dough might not be grabbing: either it's just too thick still, or perhaps too dry and so they're not sticking to the rollers to pull through.. or maybe it's actually too thin and you need to adjust the thickness settings on the machine. Unfortunately we haven't run into that same problem, so we'll have to do some testing to figure it out. Will keep you posted!

      @@rebekahloper7625 Hi Rebekah, sorry this video wasn't much help for your issue, but thanks for stopping by all the same! We'll try to get post another video regarding this machine and some tips as soon as we can.

      @@christinelund-molfese I never did find one, but we did figure out that both of the rolling parts are not turning when I crank the handle, and so we think we're going to have to open it and see what's up with the gears.

    I am looking at purchasing a Vintage Deluxe ATLAS PASTA QUEEN Noodle Making Machine by MARCATO but it doesn't appear to have the plastic removable anti friction combs...does that matter? He is selling it for $30 but i want to make sure it will be easy to clean and work properly without the removable combs.

    • @AdventuresofCarlienne
      @AdventuresofCarlienne  Год назад

      Hi RJ, thanks for your question. We don't have any experience with the vintage deluxe model, so we can't really say and would recommend reaching out to Marcato directly to be more certain. The combs are supposed to help the dough move, but in theory, as long as the machine still rolls, you could make pasta without the combs, but the dough might just get stuck. Hard for us to say, but we appreciate you leaving a comment. This video's comment feed has become a little bit of a resource on this machine, so please update us if you get the machine, maybe someone else will end up having a similar question. Best of luck RJ!

    How do you clean the pasta out of the cutters? They're clogged with dough after just 1 use. Also, I have no idea how those steel rods come out, two of ours are jammed in there (the other two were loose in the box with some plastic comb type things).

    • @AdventuresofCarlienne
      @AdventuresofCarlienne  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much for comment! To clean the cutters if the pasta is stuck you may need to really get in there with a harder/firmer bristle brush to get the pasta out. when making the pasta dont forget to give the machine a healthy dusting of flour before putting the dough in to prevent some stickage. Once those plastic guards/combs come out you should be able to access in between the metal cutters much easier. For the rods, it really helped to press down towards the metal cutters and slide the rod into or out of the holes. If it's difficult to insert them back in check to see if the plastic guards/combs are positioned properly onto the metal cutters, thicker "tooth" on a specific side like in 4:18 of the video. If it's difficult to remove, try pressing down more firmly on the rod so that the "lip" on the end of the rod can clear the edge of the hole. I really hope that helps you! Let us know how things turn out.

      Thanks for your comment Michael! Yes, the camera is pointed at me half the time, as I'm talking (the whole time) and it's our channel, so you should probably see us in our videos. And specifically, this is our product review video, not an ad video for the product, so we think it makes sense the way we shot and edited it. We appreciate you sharing your opinion and watching our video!
