Now that’s some experience speaking. I could see how that would lead to possible a couple thermostat changes before realizing the loose german impeller trick. Lol.
Hay I’m having a problem lol my car gets a little hot my fans stay on when I kill the car. they turn off about 4 min later doesn’t over heat at idle only when driving with the ac on but cools off after a min whit the ac still on you think is a thermostat problem or something else I do have coolant coming back to my coolant reservoir so I know my pump is working not sure if it’s the right amount of coolant
Regarding overheating, for ea888 gen 3 2.0 tfsi it's ok the coolant to stay at 226 F when idle / normal cruising? The temperature will drop as soon I accelerate (to about 203 and below), then come back to 226 F when engine has normal load.

So I just had my timing belt and water pump replaced about 6 months ago with the highest quality parts on the market so I doubt it’s the impeller
