Now granted you want Hz for sports but I don't know how resolution and these new tvs would do, I just remember my old plasma was better than my Samsung led around 10 years ago. Plasma also had more OLED darkness than the typical Samsung QLED making it equal of not superior with darker type of content no pun intended. I think the plasma had 600hz. It wasn't bad at all to watch sports on Samsung pr play games and normal full hd tv was mostly superior on Samsung and it still looks fantastic to this day , it was very expensive.
So now forward 8-9 years and I can't imagine it wouldn't be catching up to the old plasmas.
