    Great review! I’ve owned my Junghans Telemeter for over two years now and absolutely love it. I wear it several days each week. A few additional points missed by most reviews of the watch: 1) It’s VERY lightweight compared to most chronographs due to the minimalist case design and fact that the dial is almost “edge to edge” with no unneeded metal. The weight makes the watch easy to wear and almost unnoticeable when working. 2). The bracelet (if you select that option) is very well made and adds a little more “heft” to the overall weight... I wear with the bracelet most of the time. 3) The dial looks larger than most watches of the same diameter because of the “edge to edge” design. 4). The high domed acrylic “crystal” gives it a uber-cool look that’s eye catching and must be seen in person to appreciate. I get more complements and questions from people in meetings when they catch the side profile and notice the curved hands (especially the timer second hand) and dial....true “cool factor”. 5). It wears VERY thin for a chronograph and can fit/slide under the sleeve of most dress shirts due to its bowl shape and curved dome dial cover. 6) I’ve been pleasantly surprised how well the acrylic domed “crystal” has fared. I take care of my watches but don’t baby them. I’ve accidentally brushed against a brick wall while walking and haven’t noticed a visible scratch. 7) The silver dial surrounded by white with red numbering and hash marks gives it a 3-D appearance at some angles. 8). The lume is awesome when charged by light and last longer than I expected. Bottom line: this watch beautiful plus a GREAT value for the price...and super cool. A great unique addition to any collection that you RARELY see someone else wearing.

    This has to be one of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen. Next to the seamaster 300m. This will be my second grail piece it seems, as well as my next goal after the seamaster.

    I love the concave case back of this watch, it give the watch a thin profile and the straps looks like it have no gap at the lugs.

    Great review, great watch. For all the people who are complaining about the acrylic crystal: 1. It doesn't really matter so much unless you are a metal worker (I have the Max Bill Chronoscope and the Speedy with acrylic crystal). 2. Go get a Steinhart if you are looking for price-conscious sapphire...

    I'm not a chrono guy but this timepiece, with its retro charme, get it right!

    Just purchased this watch. I generally DO NOT like watches larger than 38 as those who negatively commented on the size of this beauty. This watch is definitely an exception. Short lug compensates it and the overall design just goes stunningly well with this dial size. Coundn't recommend more. This watch actually excites me.

      I bought this watch just recently, and After a few Days I Noticed Huge Flaw which I thought was a Defect in my watch. But it's a flaw in the MVmnt ! Watch the Big Minute Hand Jump Foward at 9:57-58. And at 11:07--08 when Reset !! Absolutely Inexcusable in a $2.500 watch or Any Watch !!

      Amen to that, I'm sick of these stupid oversized timepieces, it's time for conservative classic design to make a comeback. However to be fair, 40.8mm is getting closer.

    • @RandomUser20130101
      @RandomUser20130101 8 лет назад +6

      Anything under 38mm is a woman's watch.

    • @RandomUser20130101
      @RandomUser20130101 8 лет назад +1

      At no point did I say anything about 44mm watches. I simply said anything below 38mm is a woman's watch. No man should be wearing such small watches. The watch companies already know this. And for your information, I live in one of the largest metro regions in the USA.

      +RandomUser20130101 I'm going to assume you're either very young or know nothing about watches. Stop embarrassing yourself with these ludicrous statements.

      +David Rockefeller: Personally, I would not wear a 1960s-sized watch, just as I would not wear 1960s-styled clothing. If you prefer to do so, then do as you like.

    Stunning watch, a tad large tho. Acrylic kills it however. There are no reasons for acrylic on a modern dress watch.

      Awesome watch, but acrylic sucks.

    • @Smigger97
      @Smigger97 7 лет назад +6

      IT doesn't at all, especially on a watch like this. If Acrylic should be used on anytype of watch it should be either vintage or a pilots watch. i prefer it over sapphire any day.

    • @ryanmanak4129
      @ryanmanak4129 7 лет назад +1

      User I would say the dome makes the watch and with sapphire that would cost MUCH more and often give a different look even when domed.

    • @mrfuriouser
      @mrfuriouser 6 лет назад

      One cannot make a vintage-style piece either look or behave as its predecessor if the original materials are not used in production. You do not desire a vintage type piece; you would rather have something of a new design.

    I have one with the Junghans in script...19 rubies, swiss movement. It's been completely overhauled and is in almost new condition. The back says Stainless Steel 20 Microns 19 Rubies. The watchmaker says it's at least seventy years old. It was found amoung my grandfathers items, we think he acquired it in Germany shortly after WWII. The watchmaker (who specializes in antique Rolexes) says he has only seen one in the past forty years. Any information about this watch would be welcome

    2000 bucks for a plastic crystal is far too much compared with other Swiss brands that offers saphire crystals and valljoux 7750 automatic movement for half of that price.

    The company is not called Younghans as you pronounce, no is the watch a chronograph as you keep telling us, it's a chronoscope, (look up the difference) Junghans manufacture in China, you can buy the same watch with the Chinese Logo for about $30.00
