This brand is impressive for sure, thanks Chris for sending it in. Maybe it’s just me, but I like quartz when using chronograph, they work so well and keeps watch thin. You can tell operating the pushers and crown this is a quality ETA movement.

looks like a watch a doctor, lawyer or enginer would wear here in germany. it has this typical understatement stealth wealth aesthetic

I just want to say thank you. I must have watched this video at least 10x before pulling the trigger on my form-c last year! I got the non-numerical with the white dial and I have been enjoying it ever since! Paid $350 for mine! Now I have been flirting with the idea of a max bill chronoscope. . . Maybe in a few years!

Oh I see you got the non numerical ! How do you like that over the numerical? I’m leaner towards numerical

    • @flyingsticks

@@themnikebauers the seller was Every Hour. Currently is at $406.99
I like the super minimal version. It inspires the aesthetic of my room/organization and reminds me to keep things simple! I don't regret not getting the numerical version because after I put $10k into my savings account, I'm going to reward myself with the numerical maxbill chronoscope! So Ill have the max bill for gentler occasions and the form-C for anything rougher since it has sapphire and higher water resistance! Good luck
P.s. unfortunately you don't get the famous number "4" with the form-c

Quartz is amazing and my first choice when it comes to time telling. The only automatic I own is the NH35. I choose my automatic for the ease of repair or replacing. The NH35 is probably the most widely used auto movement in history.

Considering the watch is in the tradition of Max Bill I am surprised the lug width is an oddity.

I have both Junghans and Graf Zeppelin in my collection, and for the price they are great watches. I think Marc over at Long Island did a video on the Graf Zeppelin 8674- 4 two eye, black and cream dial, it runs a great quartz movement, accuracy around 1 - 2 seconds a month, rose gold inscription at the bottom of the dial, but one drawback, it came with a mineral crystal. So I had my watchmaker fit a custom sapphire crystal with clear AR coating on that watch. The straps from Junghand, Graf Zeppelin, Junkers, are just fantastic, German vegetable tanned leather made in Bavaria and one of the few watches I wear on a leather strap. My Certina DS Multi 8 with a thermo compensated movement which cost 1100€ when I bought it with s discount from an AD, has an inferior leather strap than any of the other mentioned above. I would recommend you having s look at the Graf Zeppelin 8674- 4, think that's the model number, as it has one of the coolest lume jobs in the business. And on top of that it is affordable and extremely well made and executed. Great vid Rob!!

Graf is certainly on my list to check out. Hope at some point one will be lent in for video. The buying and selling to make a video is no longer how I want to do it.

    • @swesleyc7

I've read should you ever need to replace the movement, you can just buy a Ronda 3520.D for about $50 and fully replace the internals. I have a mechanical automatic Max Bill Chronoscope and I'm thinking of downgrading (?) to this!

Just bought one of these in taupe, plus a blue strap for a change, so stylish, got Germany written all over it, my first German watch, I have a Christopher Ward & a longines both much more expensive, but this beauty really stands up to them in the style department, great video mate 👏👍

Look at the Automatic version, and this, while I like automatic, have a longies big eye and don't see to spend the extra. for what I've seen, get baustyle. to me maybe worth the money.

Yeah, if you buy a junghans (specially the max bill with coated plexiglass) it's because design, so the quartz version is the best choice. Otherwise, pick a certina, tissot, mido, etc in the same automatic price range.

the watch looks clean. Specially the leather strap looks really really good, almost perfection. However, at $500 for a quartz watch? even though it is made in German...
it is bit tough to accept. Thanks for the review, Rob.

I just bought it for 340€ and Im super-happy! You are right about the leagher strap - its fantastic. The only thing I don't like are the buttons which are very loud, but over all it's a stunning watch. And I notice people noticing it too :)
