A lot of soft hearted men, like I used to be, get abused just like this. I went through 6 years of it. Listening to Johnny in this testimony gave me chills because it reminded me so much of my ex and how she was. How she would scream and tell me how horrible of a person I am, how I deserved for my parents to die, break all my stuff, throw things at me and hit me. And then tell me that I deserved it all and everything was my fault. Part of me still believes that. Maybe I could have done things different. I did engage in a lot of verbal arguments with her when i shouldn't have. But deep down I know that I didn't deserve the abuse. I hope Johnny gets justice in this trial and can move on with his life and his career.
I am SO glad this is being televised so that the world can see her lies crumble before her, and the world can see this incredibly loving and innocent man find true justice.

You build up and get closer and closer to saying it, you know what’s coming but it takes forever to psych yourself up to be able to put it into words. He's not being charged with anything, It's a civil case for defamation which he is the plantiff in (i.e., he has brought charges against her for falsely misrepresenting events, which has had a negative financial impact on him), she has counter-sued but it has nothing to do with criminal domestic battery (and someone could be convicted of domestic battery and still win a civil defamation case for example), there is no such thing as being 'found guilty' in a civil court. If the jury rules in favour of the plaintiff, he will be awarded the amount filed in the case (which will be subsequently reduced) and the defendant will be ordered to pay his legal fees.
