Great episode. Will try this recipe!! For fish sauce, I would look at the ingredient list and pick the LEAST amount of ingredients so that it's close to "pure" or virgin, with no additives, water, etc. Brands I suggest are Squid brand (Thai), 3 Crab THREE Crab brand (Vietnamese), or Red Boat brand (first-press / virgin fish sauce!). Thanks for the great channel.
Take a bit of sticky rice with piece of grilled steak or chicken..Dip them in jeow som, and you will have encountered heaven on earth..If you've never tried this stuff, you have no idea what you're missing out on..If you like heat, this is the Cadillac of all dipping sauces.
Is there a way I can make this without the beef bile without noticing? I’m in an area where I can’t find it, even at my local Asian store. I miss this sauce so much I hope someone can help me.

After trying all 3; depending on the dish, I use any of them. My favorite is Red Boat, even tho’ a little more pricey.
