I never met anyone that was surprised that someone had a white step parent. Im from L.A my cousins have actual white fathers and dont seem to have the same issues as you do.
So this cracks me up because I grew up in Southern California where someone cannot make it through a complete sentence without telling you what that person's racial identity is and I started to say to people why did you need to tell me that your Gardener was Mexican what difference does it make? It's interesting when you see who's really racist and who is not it's kind of surprising sometimes.😂
