Michael, that is such a beautiful thing to say😊 It is so special to know how much you enjoy the poems and sketches as I just love making them. Have a wonderful weekend enjoying the autumn colours. Take care🦋🌻🍂🍁
Stunning fall foliage? Absolutely. Gorgeous sunsets? Check. Marvelous wildlife views? Always. Ahh... our weekly dose of peacefulness. And to top it all off, Vanessa lectures a swan (who clearly was having none of it). Thank you for another wonderful vlog.
😂 Your comments really make me laugh, Brewster- that swan was not bothered at all was it? Thank you so much for your lovely review of the vlog this week- I am so pleased that you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋🦢
Hello Vanessa - greetings from Poland What an absolutley wonderful video. It has everything in it I could imagine. Brilliant photography, superb commentary, useful historical facts, beautiful autumn tints and colours and incredible birds and wildlife. The Leicester Line is lovely. The cruise this week was gorgeous and very educational too. I've learnt how to make vegan apple and walnut bread/bagle. Understood what "leaf peeping" is and noticed that all the bridges you went under had a name plate attached to them. Your autumn/winter cruising plans sound very exciting, travelling around the Birmingham area. Thank you so much for taking me along with you. I hope you and Michael stay safe.
Hi Michael, how is Poland this autumn? Thank you so much for your lovely comment- it was just so beautiful to read🤗😊 The Leicester Line is really gorgeous: the villages, the scenery and the wildlife; I am so taken with it, so the fact that you enjoyed watching it all go by is just wonderful. Thank you again, have a super weekend, take care.🦋🌻🍂🍁
Autumn is late this year here in Poland. The forest mushroom harvest is now in full swing, about a month and a half later than last year. It's sunny and warm with occaisional showers - 18 degrees today. The leaves are just beginning to turn. The wild boar are getting brave and coming into the village at night to forage.
The. Bread sounds good…. Such a good time to “bake” bread. I hope the horse gets a companion soon. That is interesting about the swans fighting. Delightful blog, thank you.
Hi Nanci, thank you for your lovely comment. Let’s say the bread was edible and I have hopes that one day it will be delicious!😂🍞 The horse was so beautiful and gentle! Luckily, whilst I was there, I didn’t see any swan fighting. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋🦢🐎
Thank you so much, Jean!😊🤗 It is so lovely to know that you enjoyed the vlog. The pheasant with the oak leaf tail was a complete accident, but I am really pleased to have made it! 😂 Take care🦋🌻
Edith Holden's book is a real gem, as is your journal. I live in Quebec, Canada and I've never heard "leaf peeping" before, but in a couple weeks, huge cruise ships will be stopping here as they move up/down the St. Lawrence River, tourists eager to see the fall colors. Thanks again for sharing your adventures.
Hi Larry, it sounds like it must be spectacular down the St. Lawrence River. It is such a magical time of the year, isn't it? Thank you so much for your lovely comment, have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻🍁🍂
Good morning from America! This video is perhaps my favorite, Vanessa, brimming with beauty, variety, and gorgeous nature. Loved the horse wanting to be friends with Zephyr and then following along for a bit. The bridges continue to amaze me .. their construction still holds all these years later. Amazing! The gravesite of little Chrissy Gardner, extremely moving. The swans, squirrels, crows, horses, the turning leaves … all wonderful. The variety of leaves in every hue floating in the canal.. could anything be more wonderful? I’ve pulled out both of my Edith Holden books, inspired by You! Vanessa, are the canals routinely dredged? Happy, Safe cruising! 🍂 🍁🌿🐿️
I’m so pleased that you’ve found your favourite vlog! Getting out your Edith books is such a wonderful thing to do too. I hope you enjoy them. The canals are dredged but also they are using different more eco friendly techniques now too, which I need to find more out about. Take care 🌻🦋
I’m definitely a leaf peeper! Wonderful little local stories and beautiful photographs and art work as always. Autumn leaves and flowers are my favourites for watercolours but I have yet to start a little journal. You’re inspiring.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Leanne. You must start your journal soon; try and free up some time, if possible, to do it. I found by ordering my food shopping online, I got time back which I now exchange for journaling time. I would love to see your watercolours too, so you can always email them to me. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋🎨
Oooh there's lots of silver propeller locations around Birmingham. I'm just heading to the Nene I'm not sure if I've left it abit late in the year Mrs Mindful. I need to go through your Nene vlogs again. I think your cooking is abit hit and miss. Not alot if reward for 1.5 hours of power. I managed to pick off the river some massive apples and I made a crumble which looked abit like your bread but still very tasty with wild apples. Once again you've put out a wonderful vlog. Pat Mr mindful, stroke India and let Zeph do the cooking. 😂😂😂 The weeks pass so quick have a lovely weekend.
Hi Will, ah the River Nene is beautiful and we didn't come off it until the end of October last year, so I am sure that you will fine- if the weather is kind to you.🤞 My cooking of bread is more 'miss, miss' than 'hit and miss' 🤭🍞 The one I cooked yesterday was so bad, that I'm not even going to put that on RUclips! Zephyr doing the cooking is a very good idea.😂 I saw you on Nomadic Crobot's video yesterday- very funny! And I have been watching you on the big screen again, but I will go back and leave some filthy thumbs ups and comments. Have a wonderful weekend, safe cruising and the crew here all say a big 'hello!'
Hi Christine, I bet there are some amazing places to leaf peek where you are? Thank you so much for your comment. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
I used to live in the blue ridge mountains of NC (back in England since 1992) & we had many leaf lookers, including myself! Absolutely breathtaking autumn colours
Thank you for such a peaceful vlog. Stuck in bed sick so really appreciate your vlog. Take care oxoxo Love the little church for the little Chrssy. =-)
Hi Lorraine, I am so sad to hear that you are stuck in bed, sick. I hope you make a speedy recovery and keep up those vitamin C levels! It is so kind of you to still watch my vlog and send such a lovely comment🤗😊. Get well soon, sending you health and happiness❤️🩹🦋🌻
Lovely informative vlog Vanessa. I think autumn is gorgeous and I also love the Country diary of an Edwardian Lady . You're so lucky to be travelling through the seasons on your narrow boat.
Hi Lydia, thank you so much for your lovely comment, I totally agree with you about autumn being gorgeous- I just love it! 🍁🍂 I am looking forward to walking through the countryside that Edith Holden walked through and finding out more about her. I will share it all with you. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻
Oh Vanessa. What a beautiful piece of poetry. You are so talented! It's lovely to see the leaves change in the autumn. I love the bright greens of spring, but autumn comes a close second.
Ho my gosh I was so extremely intrigued by this weeks absolutely superb vlog.every aspect of your truly remarkable wildlife video was so engaging in its entirety.which was so wonderfully presented in a totally brilliantly prestigious way.by an astonishing naturalist with such captivating wildlife enthusiasm .I like listening fantastic totally interesting truly fabulous historical facts.which is in my own opinion so utterly brilliant.particularly the history of the canal bridges.which I was very lmpressed by your knowledge of the canal system from days gone by.also I like your beautiful narrowboat garden.have a beautiful weekend cruising down the cut,🚤
Hi Anthony, I hope you have had a good week? Your comments were just so lovely to read, thank you so much 😊 It is heartwarming to know how much you enjoyed this week’s vlog. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻
Hi Caz, I hope you are all well? The canalside trees are beautiful at the moment and the water itself is covered in leaves just like confetti. It is lovely. Thank you so much for your comment. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Vanessa, The leaf peeping musical montage was most enjoyable to watch. There are other ways to dry out wet items prior to baking, you don't absolutely require a food dehydrator, you just have to work in advance. You'll still have the flavor without the moisture. We hope that you have a lovely week.
Thank you so much, John for your lovely comment. I hope that you are both well? I am glad you liked the leaf peeping montage. I bet it’s gorgeous where you are? India, found a little wire shelf stack that can sit on the stove and dry out the food, so I think I’ll get that as there is no electricity needed then. Have a wonderful week too, take care🦋🌻
Thanks Vanessa, for taking us along this lovely cruise in early autumn with beautiful countryside views and wildlife. I bet that the bread tasted lovely and as always, your Artwork and Poetry in your diary is wonderful. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Thank you so much, Stevie, it is so kind of you to take the time to comment. The bread tasted edible, not quite at the lovely stage yet😂🍞 Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
England's Canals are beautiful Vanessa just like the people who never miss any of your video's just like me. I did notice something else beautiful in your video young Lady. I'd love to see myself in your Eyes.
Beautiful, just beautiful Vanessa. In this moment when I must stay close to my mum, your vlogging takes me back and makes me yearn for the travels I once loved. Many will never understand, but I know you do, just how beautiful nature can be. You must have the patience of a saint as some of your shots just don't happen unless you are still and stealthy for a while. I must give you a heads up for your imminent visit to Birmingham, (which you will love) what ever you do, do not miss the Christmas Fair in the centre, It's normally on for a week and is always German themed. It's simply awe inspiring, especially if you enjoy food ( half metre hot dogs) and beer. Be well beautiful lady.
Hi Terry, I completely understand how beautiful nature can be and how powerful it is in comforting, calming and bringing hope. I am so, so pleased that you enjoyed this vlog and that you are sharing our journey. The Christmas market sounds like a must-see, so we will aim to visit that. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and kindness. Sending my best wishes to you and your Mum. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Hi Jayne, when the light hits the canal bridges in the afternoon it is spectacular for photography and filming. Autumn throws up some amazing light. Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋
Hi Jayne, when the light hits the canal bridges in the afternoon it is spectacular for photography and filming. Autumn throws up some amazing light. Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋
Congratulations on your first apple and walnut loaf Vanessa 👏👏 As Mr Mindful testified, it's the taste that matters most! Another lovely vlog. Take care and live life to the full xx
Thank you so much, Jill 😊 I really want to crack the gluten-free, vegan bread thing, but I am not sure it will happen- I might donate my loaves to Canal and River Trust for repairing lock chambers- they are that solid! ⛏ 🍞 Take care🌻🦋
So nice to see the area my father grew up in. He migrated to Ontario, Canada. The colours here are in such an array of yellow, orange, maple leaf red and our oak wine .. Along our road these trees show off their beauty until a high wind assails them... thank you for letting us enjoy your country side.
Hi Shirley, the road where you live sounds beautiful in its autumn glory. Your father grew up in a lovely part of the world. It is gorgeous here. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋🍂🍁
Jill, I hope you are doing the best that you can at such a difficult and heart-breaking time. Guy, would often leave comments and they were always so helpful and kind, just like yours always are. I also, wrote a little bit about him in the description of my vlog. Please know that you can message me anytime xx Look after yourself. 🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat ❤ Guy really rated your vlogs - as I did - and he used to say that one day, if you returned to our part of the waterways, that we would have to meet you. xx
I thought you were a continuous cruiser? The moon looks amazing. You have a great way of narrating your stories. Poetry is great. Be well and safe xxxxx
Hi Vanessa sorry I was on holiday last week in Essex. Had brilliant week with great grandsons. I still watched your brilliant vlog. You have excelled yourselves this week, absolutely gorgeous scenery and wildlife. Loved the bread could have eaten a slice yum yum. Have a great week. Xx
Hi Sandy, I am from Essex- which part did you visit? It must have been lovely to spend time with the great- grandsons, I bet they loved seeing you. Thank you for your kind comment, have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻
We stayed at coopers beach Mersea Island. My Grandaughter lives in Colchester. I lived there for 22years before I came back to Forest of Dean Gloucester. We visited Felixstowe , Harwich and it was great. X
Ah, Mersea is one of my favourite places to visit in Essex. There are red squirrels there now. The locals have them visiting their gardens. Amazing!🐿🦋🌻
Great vlog, love autumnal colours, we are lucky in uk to have seasons as each brings its own beauty and you capture it well. 💚 Shame your loaf didn't turn out a perfect shape, at least the desired taste was there. 🙂
Hi Sheila, autumn is just wonderful to watch and it makes leaving the summer behind much easier doesn't it?🍂🍁 Thank you so much for your lovely comment, have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Hi Paul, you wouldn’t have bread envy if you saw my most recent attempt! 🤭🍞 I don’t think it’s going to make the edit of next week’s vlog as it is so embarrassingly appalling. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, take care🦋🌻
I love this time of year the changing colours of the trees telling us summer is over, how lovely the canal looks as you cruised slowly along the water soon it will start to look muddy and gloomy. Well Vanessa l learnt something from 2days vlog that it was squirrels calling out, l was hearing in the early morning while out with my dog and l thought it was crows how wrong l was lol🤣. I found that when l used my bread making machine my bread didn't come out right either😟 , but l had better success kneading it and putting in in a Dutch oven pot on my stove. Thanks for a enjoyable vlog again 👍🐎🍁🍂🍞🍴☕️ l hope you have a nice weekend 😆
Hi Simon, I would not have known it was a squirrel making that noise unless I had seen it. Then I looked up squirrel noises and behaviours and the cawing, barking, quacking sound it was making means it is worried danger is near, so it warns the other squirrels, but if they make a teeth grinding noise that is to warn off other squirrels that are in its territory. Some squirrels make a purring noise too like a cat! What a great idea to put your bread in your Dutch oven on your stove. I have a Dutch oven but it has feet, do you think it will still work being slightly raised from the stove top? Thank you so much for this tip though as it is still saving gas. A lovely and really helpful comment, Simon. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
What a lovely way to spend a freezing 🥶 cold day nice trip on the canal we do love your calm delivery and beautiful views thanks for video keep warm & safe x
Hi Vanessa, I hope you are ok? I think the lock names are really interesting too and when a lock just has a number, often it used to have a name and that leads to a story too. Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, take care🦋🌻
Your videos always brighten my week, but this one was special. You seemed very happy and bubbly. I hope this means you and Mr. M are enjoying life right now. I live in Denver Colorado so took my lady friend to the mountains last week for a bit of leaf peeping. We do not have the variety of colors like some places however the aspens turn a brilliant yellow gold and are beautiful at the moment. Best which and here's to your continued happiness.
Hi Francis, thank you so much for your comment. The mountains sound like it was a spectacular trip. I just love this time of year and I try to appreciate everyday whilst we still have leaves on the trees. 🍁🍂 Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋
Lovely film as usual 👍 those model villages are great lol we have a photo of our little Dachshund Alfie walking down the high street of one 🐕 it's really funny Stay well kind regards Glyn
You have a Dachshund!😍 I have a real soft spot for these little doggies! (sshh, don't tell Zephyr) 🤫 How wonderful to have a photo of Alfie walking through a model village; that does sound really funny!😂 Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Glyn. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Autumn. My absolute favourite Season, of all. And you're depiction of it in this Vlog was just... Wow. And yet again I find myself with a lump in my throat and leaky eyes, as you find the beauty in this Season, when the dying leaves cling on for their Swan Song before falling slowly, and gracefully to the ground. Thank you. Again for making me feel peaceful. 🙏🏻😊🧡🍁🍂🍃🍂🍁🐶🐾
What a lovely comment, Julie🤗😊 Thank you so much! I am so pleased that you enjoyed the autumn scenes. It is such a beautiful time of the year. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋🍂🍁
Hi Ruth, how true about the look of bread! Unfortunately this weekend I made a bread that looked dreadful and tasted like it looked🤭🍞 Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a super Sunday and week ahead, take care🌻🦋
Just stumbled across your channel as it came up on my homepage.... absolutely beautiful. Watched a couple of vlogs and will now have the luxury of binging on them all. Thank you!
Welcome aboard Mastercraft! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It is great to know that you’re watching the other vlogs too. Have a super rest of week, take care🦋🌻
Hi Vanessa i realy love your videos i find them very relaxing and stunning views and history and you care about the wildlife and the environment i could watch your videos and vlogs all day they take your mind of other things
Lovely video again Vanessa. Definitely a change in seasons. You’ll enjoy touring around Birmingham and it’s surrounds. Be careful around Bournville, a lot of chocolate!! Have a fun week. Take care.
Thank you so much, Nigel for such a lovely comment. I bet it smells amazing around Bournville- very wise to warn me about that stop; it might be a long one. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, take care🦋🌻
Gorgeous video. My favourite time of year. I didn’t know about the yellow and red leaf colours being dependant on the temperature. Lovely plans for winter cruising.😊
Hi Fran, thank you for your lovely comment. I read about the leaf colour on the Woodlands Trust website. It’s really interesting. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋🍂🍁
Absolutely beautiful video. I didn't want it to end. I felt I was right there with you. I also have a copy of the 'Country Diary' which I cherish. Thanks for sharing life on your boat. Take care and be safe. Look forward to your next video. Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for such a beautiful comment 🤗😊 The Country Diary is definitely a book to cherish. I read it at the beginning of every month on the month that she wrote it about. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Beautiful relaxing vlog Your bread looks a good consistency this week & clearly tastes good! Wonder if it would make it easier to get the bread out if you grease the inside of bread maker first? Others might shout me down for that but I don't have a bread maker so it's just a suggestion 🙂 Not sure about the hole in the middle though - don't judge a loaf by its crust 😂😂 The colours of the trees are beautiful aren't they? Fabulous photography as always Thank you 🙏
Hi Margaret, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I think I will try greasing the bread oven first as I think the fact that it's gluten free, might make it stick more. I have had an even worse bread disaster this weekend, so bad, that I don't think it will make the edit in next week's vlog! "Don't judge a loaf by its crust" 😂😂🍞 I like that one, Margaret! Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
The narrow ones are very narrow and so very slowly is the best way to try to drive through them. Thank you so much for watching all the way from beautiful Canada. Have a super week, take care🦋🌻
Mary and I were out leaf peeping this morning and didn't know the term. Thanks for enlightening two peepers in Washington state. Another quote to honor stories. "Photography has been my way of bearing witness to the extraordinary in ordinary life. You don't look for pictures. Your pictures are looking for you. Harold Feinstein. Thank you.
I hope you and Mary enjoyed your leaf peeping. Does it look like it’s going to be a good year for colour?🍂🍁 I love the idea of ‘pictures looking for you’ such a wonderful quote again! Thank you so much 😊 Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Another great poem Vanessa. I had great times with my U John during the autumn of his life.. Sadly he died last week. You showed me colours of life. Thank you x
Oh Richard, I am so sorry for the loss of your U John. It is lovely that you have the special memories to hold on to. I hope you are ok? R.I P, John Take care🌻🦋
That was interesting about the squirrel call. I'm sure I've heard it in the past but just put it down to a crow shrieking. I shall be more attentive next time. Your book is looking lovely, I hope your considering publishing it.
Hi Peter, the squirrels make some really unusual noises; apparently the crow-like call is a warning to other squirrels about nearby danger and teeth chattering calls are to warn off other squirrels from coming into their territory; and also squirrels purr sometimes too!🐿🐿 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋
Thanks for another wonderful vlog, we agree with the comments that it would make a great book. We always get inspiration for our future cruising from you! 👏Lucy and Rob NB Jasmine
Hello Lucy and Rob, I hope that you are enjoying your autumn cruising so far. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and kindness about my journal. Where are you off to next? Have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat Hi Vanessa, we're wibbling on the upper River Lea at the moment, enjoying the early autumn loveliness. Then back through London and along the GU. Enjoy your weekend 😃
About the ketttle to boil for coffee and thee; when I drive my boat I use an electric cooker, 700 watt to boil instead of using gas. The engine drives a balmar generator which feeds into batteries and the victron 12 to 220 Volt charger/transformer, so you can save on gas when you drive the boat.
Beautifull video i just caught up after watching the complete series /Playlists 2 weeks of wonderfull relaxing English countryside from the canals your wildlife and insects and Fauna are so well presented nice
Roy, you are such a star for working your way through my vlogs and I really appreciate it! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful rest of the week, take care🌻🦋
Hi Vanessa, you’ve inspired me to get my old bread making machine out. I find if you leave the bread to cool down for about 15 minutes before attempting to turn it out the bread comes out a little easier. What lovely swan families and amazing scenery as always. I’ve always loved the Country Diary Of An Edward Lady, I still think you should get your journal published. Have you come across Secrets Of Devon Wood (My nature diary) by Jo Brown? It’s a beautiful journal, but no more beautiful than yours and your pictures are accompanied by beautiful poems too. Take care you 3, stay safe and well. Lot of love. xxxx
Hi Shirley, I hope you are well? Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I will try and wait before turning my bread out and that will also give me some praying time for a better loaf! 🍞 Thank you so much for telling me about ‘Secrets of a Devon Wood.’ I have just looked it up and I will buy a copy. I love finding out about authors of nature journals. Also, thank you for your kindness about my journal too; it really means a lot. Have a wonderful weekend, take care 🌻🦋
oh my God, brilliant!, what a lovely video, there's a lot of funny in a bunch of leafs, such a kind of sweet magic Autumn hide among trees, when you writes ..then discover..then will send us to see..then bye bye..said your followers, fly, write, discover....until the next week..
@@themindfulnarrowboatyou are welcome!, thanks you for make us dream! I love you videos, draws and stories! 🥰, and I love nature and lovely quite beautiful places as this channels you see! Your squirrel of the video call me in mind when I been living in Jersey, was plenty of them, every morning in Autumn when I did my way to work, coincident to a "green line walk" them wait for some nuts! take care you too, thank youuu! cheery ò! 🌲🌲🍁🌳🍁🍁🌲🐿️
Would it be possible for you to share some of the Techical aspects of your boat? Engine type and HP, steering inputs required to steer a straight course, heating system, electrical generation and what type of camera gear you use to secure those wonderful wildlife images and videos - especially the Kingfisher and that wonderful fox sequence - Thanks Stephen in Canada
Thank you so much for your comment, Stephen. That is great feedback and I will try one day soon to get a bit more boaty technical. Have a super week, take care🦋🌻
Your skills at showing nature just amaze me. damn, you are going beyond the Attnebourgh level. May I ask what kind of video equipment you are using? I told Narrowboat Will. he needs a camera like yours. he said, yes I love it, but it's too heavy for me. And by the way, ever since he spent some time with the Mindfulls recently, his videos have veered into recording nature a bit more. Nice.
Hi there, Peter, thank you so much for your lovely comment. The video equipment is mainly my Panasonic LUMIX 2000 and I hold it, as there isn’t space for a tripod. I don’t use it when I am driving though as Will is right, it is too heavy; instead I have a little Go Pro hero 4 I think?( very old) at the bow and I put my phone on a little tripod on the stern with me. Will’s vlogs are so good to watch and he really makes us laugh. He has a great interest in nature and the vlog “How Lucky Am I” has beautiful photography doesn’t it? He did that with his phone. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Dont you just love Autumn I just love those colours.. do hope you have slipped a couple of cherry reds and yellows amongst the pages of your favourite books Vanessa. Thanks for another pretty journey...question for you...when you open one side of a loch how do you get to the other side??? Love from Western Australia 🥰🥰
Hi Jenny, thank you so much for your lovely comment. Great question about the locks! When you open one gate, you have to walk to the other end of the lock and cross over the closed gates. Sometimes there is a bridge which makes it easier but mostly not. Recently, I have become more cautious crossing over- I’m not sure why, but I just keep thinking how dangerous crossing over the locks could potentially be? I go so slowly. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, take care🦋😊
It’s a Cookworks bread maker which I’m sure would make perfect bread if it wasn’t done with GF bread flour. It makes great puddings and jam as well! Thank you for watching. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
He is working when I am doing most of my filming, but at weekends he might come to some of the villages too. I don't really film then as it isn't fair on him. Thank you for watching, take care🦋🌻
Well another Mindful trip thanks again for taking my mind off all the sadness going on now in the world. On this voyage I noticed your more feisty side. The way you scolded the Swans to bad you can not do the same thing with the Russian president. Perhaps there would be no more of the fighting malarkey in Ukraine world problem solved. Wish it could be that simple. I enjoyed the one sided romance between Zeph and the horse. Have a good week and take. PS how much did you charge Mr. M for the bread? Steve
Hi there Steve, I wish that it was that simple too. I think that’s why I find so much joy in walking and noticing the beautiful things and I count my blessings that I am able to do that at the moment. I don’t think those swans were listening to me though😂🦢 Thank you so much for your lovely comment, take care🦋🌻
Looking forward to see you in my back garden some day, and give you a Black country welcome, I believe you would enjoy a visit to the Black Country Living museum well worth it and round the corner the Dudley tunnel canal trust,
I am really looking forward to it too! I will check out the museum and Trust centre. Thank you so much for the tips. Have a super rest of the weekend, take care🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat No it us a strange mix gluten free flour as a packet pre mixed but I have used some flours like Kamut, millet flakes and oatmeal, polenta.
Aren't you supposed to leave the bread sit in the tin for five minutes after removing it from the machine?? That's what I had to do with mine for it to come out neatly.
Hi Patricia, my brother-in-law told me with gf bread it’s better to take it straight out, but I will try it after five minutes to see if that makes a difference. Thank you so much for your comment. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Inspiring Piano and Cello by OlexandrIgnatov is the name of the piece of music. It’s lovely isn’t it? The sound of the cello is my favourite. Thank you for watching, have a super Sunday, take care🌻🦋
@@themindfulnarrowboat Hi. I can find Inspiring Piano, but cannot find track by the title Inspiring Piano and Cello. The composer uses Audio Jungle to sell tracks and no listing there either. Oh well, keep on digging. Thanks.
Hi Jean, as soon as I read your message, I was really alarmed that xanthum gum is dangerous for dogs, but I can't find that from a quick internet search that I have just done. Hello Vanessa - greetings from Poland
What an absolutley wonderful video.

Loved todays leaf peeping, poetry and art, loved how you created an oak leaf tail for the pheasant too 😊❤
Thank you so much, Jean!😊🤗 It is so lovely to know that you enjoyed the vlog.
Thanks for the 18 minutes and 48 seconds of peace of mind and tranquillity take care
You are so welcome, Pancrazio!🤗 Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Completely delightful video - one of your best, I think.
Thank you so much 🤗 It is so lovely to hear how much you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
We in America do enjoy leaf peeking as the autumn season approaches.
What an incredible place to have lived, Christine 🥰🌻🦋

Spring and autumn are very special seasons aren’t they? Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care 🌻🦋
Love seeing the Autumn colours developing. Must be stunning to see on the canals…… looking forward to future vlogs for more.
💕🙏
Great video as always Vanessa lovely wildlife shots and autumn scenes, thanks for sharing.

That shot of the swan under the bridge looked unreal! So beautiful. Again a great way to spend part of any day…with your Vlog

❤❤ beautiful happy Friday nearly xx tq x
Hi Anthony- I hope you've had a good week so far? Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Bob. I hope that you are all nice and warm. Have a super weekend, take care🌻🦋
Feels so peaceful your 'vlogs'. You travel so much on your narrow boat. Funny how locks get their names.

You should try by putting the bread maker midum size plus it will help the yest rise a little bit more and you can use olive oil instead butter

How clever! Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻

Hi Vanessa, you’ve inspired me to get my old bread making machine out.

Sure your bread tastes good. I find that bread maker recipes are tricky to get right, safe lots of electricity.
I am definitely finding making my bread tricky and the gluten free flour doesn’t help either. Take care 🦋🌻🍞
@@themindfulnarrowboat No it us a strange mix gluten free flour as a packet pre mixed but I have used some flours like Kamut, millet flakes and oatmeal, polenta.
I use oil or margarine instead of yeast.
May help consistency.
Would you know the name of the track at around 18.48? So many to plod through, I thought it would be easier to ask.
Inspiring Piano and Cello by OlexandrIgnatov is the name of the piece of music. It’s lovely isn’t it? The sound of the cello is my favourite. Thank you for watching, have a super Sunday, take care🌻🦋
@@themindfulnarrowboat Thanks
@@themindfulnarrowboat Hi. I can find Inspiring Piano, but cannot find track by the title Inspiring Piano and Cello. The composer uses Audio Jungle to sell tracks and no listing there either. Oh well, keep on digging. Thanks.
I was concerned to see you using xyathium gum as you have such a beautiful dog , just because I care ❤
Hi Jean, as soon as I read your message, I was really alarmed that xanthum gum is dangerous for dogs, but I can't find that from a quick internet search that I have just done. Please can you let me know where it is advised not to use this around dogs as I will not use it again. Thank you so much for caring about, Zephyr- it means a lot to me. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻
Sorry , I saw the X but I got it wrong it’s Xylotol,
Phew! Thank you for your concern though x🌻🦋
Do you English realise what a beautiful country you live in?
Hi John, since narrowboating, I have discovered so many beautiful places that I didn’t know existed around the waterways here. I now realise how wonderful the country is. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a super week, take care🦋🌻
