Important! When removing the air spring you need to make sure there is no air in the spring! Therefore, you should drain the air by removing the solenoid first before taking any fasteners off the strut assembly. In the video the air spring was totally shot, and was empty, so the order of operation did not matter. Ive just done conversion myself and my spring was still functional, so it was putting force on the lower arm and for that reason it could be dangerous to remove bottom bolt under pressure.
Ok so this is the Part1 which I just saw the Part 2 thanks for sharing its good for us girls to know how to do those things. Beautiful video again!!Thanks for Sharing
Good video. Took off the air spring on our 2007 Expedition and this video helped a lot. Had a lot of trouble getting the tie rod off, so I jacked up the brake section and it seemed to help. Also had trouble with getting the spring out, even after the tie rod was removed, but found out there was still some air in the system (should have tried to disconnect it earlier). I jacked the car up further on the frame to finally get the spring out.
With dirty hands or clothes doesn't guarantee that he is the best mechanic. With good explanations and without getting dirty gives a guarantee that not only he is a good mechanic but also he is a good teacher. Thanks for watching. FYI, I enjoyed doing things myself and I am not mechanic.
excellent video a question and can you help me what is the name of the part that you start to remove at minute 4:34 I hope and you can help me since I need to replace it thank you thank you
Thanks for posting, this is the only video that shows sort of what to do. I mean no offense, but I wanted to correct a couple of steps that made it much easier for me. First, don't remove the upper trailing arm (you call it a sway bar) or the upper control arm (you call it a tie rod), neither one of these allowed enough clearance to easily remove the air spring. Instead, according the factory manual, you should first remove the lower control arm, which is the long bar that the bottom bolt of the shock attaches to. This can be removed by removing the lower ball joint attached to the wheel, and the bolt that attaches the other end of the tie rod to the body near the center of the car. Of course first remove the lower bolt that attaches to the shock and be sure to pop off the small leveling sensor (looks like a tiny shock on the back of the control arm). Once you remove the control arm, the job is much easier. When reassembling the control arm, be sure to wait to torque the bolt that connects the control arm to the body and the bolt that attaches the bottom of the shock. You need to tighten these two after you have put everything back together (including the tire) and the vehicle is back on the ground.

Sir , After you replace it to coil spring , is it normal with driving or there is a problem , as I told that if you replace it the car will be uncomfortable , please what is your experience about it
I didn't disconnect it, I tied it with a tie wrap. Initially, I decided to remove the whole compressor then decided to leave the option in case if I want to go back with air suspension. The only thing I did was remove the fuse for the compressor. I hope it helps, thanks for watching, good luck with your DIY project. about $400 GIVE OR TAKE THRU EBAY.$200 for the bag part,$100 for the shock absorber $50 for the O-RINGS PACKET and $50 for the Cap part, although the cap part can definitely be taken off the one you will be removing because damage is rarely done to it.also the shock absorber is sometimes reuseable.I will tell you.its somewhat of a bitch to assemble your own.your'e probably better off buying it assembled.although I assembled my own by inspecting the one I removed.let me know if you need any assistance or spare parts.

Barely any Lincoln Navigator people out there so this is very helpful
If I'm not mistaken, the Ford expedition limited max has pretty much identical features. Just doesn't have a luxurious look :)
Right because I’ve had more issues with mine and nobody can help geesh
