I love how when discussing the plasma zippo he makes the gesture of lighting a bowl lmao
Old habits die hard
@@raymondhill6405 😂🤣
I think the Vape industry may have impacted this, otherwise I think we'd see more EDC incorporating a bowl. I saw one on John Gadget's site, but it was more of a gimmick. 30 years ago....I would have appreciated this.
I actually have a "stash it". I use it when I go hiking with the dog. I put dog food in the bottom and use the bottom cap as the dogs bowl. It works great.
That’s a fantastic idea!
That's a clever idea
Why do I get the feeling the Stash-it was designed by a doper for somewhere to conceal his stash?
@@gabrielstrong2186 After consuming a little too much of the supply ;-) I mean almost anyone would make intelligent improvements with a little bit of thought.
@@So1ipse sounds right, where can I stash my last two leaves for later???
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
The popularity of multitools is a great example of this statement, in my observation.
And frankly, a lot of the stuff I've seen you feature exemplifies this statement :D
The correct saying for that phrase is
" Jack of all Trades, Master of One"..

I am about to send in the PST i got from gramps for repairs, i'm expecting to have to pay since it's from before leatherman did datecodes but i cant complain.
You know, the products you didn't recommend,... how about you make a series about 'popular' EDC items showing up in online stores and make like a 'don't buy this' guide?????? Would be hilarious and so informative at the same time!!
I'll say the inconvenient truth that he can't... The only way to do that is not take any free demos. You would have to buy every single item yourself to review. Otherwise you risk pissing off a company and costing future review items for a bad review on another item. Sad but true.
@@zionkid420 could be a good tagline: I bought this so you don't have too! Just an idea
@@TheSuperrespect13 Basically an EDC Scotty Kilmer, right?
@@potatonumber200 that's one way to put it 😂
I thought that was what this was...junk collection....
That hero clip would be handy for camping in the desert. Just clip your boots and clothes to it and hang them up, to keep the harmful critters out of them. Among other things.
You need two EDC items. A decent wallet and a sturdy multi-tool. The rest are supplementary items that you can pick & chose to suit your needs. You can stash whatever in the wallet and most multi-tools are easy to mod to have whatever you need now.
I’ve been trying to update my EDC to “Made in America “ things. Having watched your Chanel grow and seeing your shirt seems like this would be a great video, well at least for me . Anybody else ?
I would love to see a Made in America video as I also would like to have a primarily-American carry 👍🏻
@ Idk if Vincent is familiar with the word "budget" 🤔
@@richardhenry1969 That's basically what happens.
Ditto!
A follow up with the best (reliable) Chinese stuff could be alright too
Got the Eagle Creek money belt. I carry $ 300 cash, handcuff key, 6' kevlar cord, scalpel blade and a small match book in a mini zip lock.
The lighterbro bic holder originated in the lacrosse community, when you string a lacrosse head you need a knife and scissors to cut the string, the lighter to stop it from fraying and the screwdriver to attach the head to the stick. Cool product
I actually love that belt idea a lot. Could store some bandaids and single use antibiotic/anti itch cream in there and never notice.
Where I live there are tons of "head shops" and in every one they have lots of stash items some very well made. Some are even weighted so the weight isn't off. From pringles containers to cleaning products. Soda cans. Markers. And the list goes on. So e are very well made.
Wazoo survival makes a great cache belt. Uses velcro instead of a zipper and it holds up VERY well.
I really like that you don't make excuses for products. Straight shooter. It gives you recommendations / likes all that more weight.
The SAS have a belt with gold coins concealed within so they can use them to trade if they get in trouble
We call a 'Blood Chit' belt in the military. It can help u buy ur freedom or their assistance with what u need.
Didn't that get James Bond out of jam in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE?

Never smoked always carried a mini bic.
A weighted cap on the bottom of the bottle would negate the balance issue pretty easily.
Yeah I was surprised the cap wasn't weighted
Or put stuff in it
Klean Kanteen is a great bottle company that makes insulated bottles
“Whatever you need to carry with you.” To quote an old SNL skit, “You put your weed in there!”
I like he carabiner hanger in the bathroom stall idea!
Always carry a Zippo even if you don't smoke.
🔥 is one of the most basic tools of humankind.
I carry a mini zippo with a zip tie wrapped right under the gas button. Easy to slip it off and keeps the button from being accidentally depressed.
The bottle might not be the best idea. I can't even say how many times I have come across flask type bottles that people have left behind. I think at one point I had about six? And the lighter bro is the best pothead lighter tool I have ever come across. The scissors are perfect for joint or blunt surgery, the poker is great for clearing bowls and stems, and you can take dabs with the blade.
I had one of those money belts when I worked overseas, it was very comforting knowing my cash was safe.
The water bottle name brand version is called Swell
@Jonesy The cat no
Then it’s not the name brand version innit Joshua ;)
Chilly is the main brand for these over here. Tbh they're just a water flask
But as far as I'm aware, they don't have the bottom storage compartment
On that Opinel, FRN stand for fiberglass reinforced nylon and G10 is fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin. G10 is a bit harder and more durable, but FRN is a decent product as well
I have a couple carabiners that have a built in striker in them. So that way you have an extra firestarter. I keep one on my get home bag, and on my 72 hour packs
The Bic sleeve is great for shanking anyone who's trying to pocket your lighter 😂
And they’re known for “Tacti-Cool” products...especially finger rings for lights when conducting low light training or Operations.
*looks at bottle*
You can put your weed in there.
The bottle and bic holder should be a set for anyone that smokes........the reefer bahahaha
I've always found these attwhorish tips amusing. Cops don't use internet or known the tricks?
forgot weed wasn’t legal everywhere and people aren’t just looking for convenient spaces to carry the weed
Great SNL reference.
Great minds think alike. well played sir. (◣_◢)
I've got an Opinel DIY and used the snot out of it around the house. It was initially designed for electrician work and I've used it for that. Perfect. I've given out a few as gifts and they're always appreciated. Good kit.
Oh, man, I love my Heroclip for my tool bag when I'm doing field service work! It's also pretty handy for keeping it on the back of my chair or the side of my desk when I'm not in the field.
Yes but is it strong enough to use as a carabiner, or is it cheap metal that will get you killed? That's my question.
I would put some cereal in the bottom of the bottle and then fill the top with milk.
How would you pour the milk in?
As a stoner, the Lighter Bro is pretty good considering it has a poker for when you clog your piece up, its got scissors for rolling joints (i usually use it to cut a filter out of something) and the blade is kinda useless but still nice to have. You also never have anyone pocket your lighter when you smoke with ppl cause they wont forget that its not theirs and thats actually a big plus tbh
The name brand bottle is called Swell - great EDC for every day hydration ... For a belt you should try a cobra belt ... HeroClips are awesome! ... Pass on the rest ... Like the video - when I was just starting with EDC I wasted sooo much money on useless junk before I developed my preferences.
What are your preferences? Share plz!
I carry a HeroClip on my EDC ruck and I love it! So many different uses for it too.
The old Eagle Creek belt had a better buckle. They are really handy for those of us who often find they’ve left their wallet somewhere other than their pocket. I have a selection of them.
The Oh-pee-nel is a nice piece I own, but you are right, the No. 8 would be a better size for EDC. The plastic makes it a better choice for work around water than the Opi’s usual birch handle, which swells.
That Pro-Vault Zippo case is great. I've had one for years. Very good product.
There is one thing I do that I think you would benefit from, in every EDC pouch as you I have a few for different applications. I have a small notepad waterproof etc but on first page is a inventory of what is exactly in the pouch it is also dated at end when I actually checked the contents. You can add things to list like I have Nimh batters and check there voltage and date so you know there not flat or low they are but other things can go out of date etc, cheers Geordie
"You can put things inside of here" Stoners: "weed!"
FRIDAY EDC WEEKLY! Hell ya Taylor! Thanks dude!
+1 to Lighterbro. Can't stress enough how awesome it is. Especially if you're a smoker of any kind. Bic or Clipper, including the Metal and Jet ones. Been my one and only EDC untill the other day when I added a Gerber Dime and Ripstop Knife to my pocket.
The original brand of the shape of that water bottle, I believe, is swell. The quality is pristine, though it hasn't got the gap to store stuff.
The lighter bro is amazing. Ive been using it for years. Glad you finally included it! However, DONT SNAP IT IN TO THE BOTTOM! It has a detent to PREVENT that from happening, because the bottom is used as a bottle opener!
I've bought so many light bros the poker is freaking amazing. I use the bottle opener too and the knife to open packages.
i love this channel you have helped me get so much more organize. thank you good sir . i hope you are enjoying being a parent as much or more than i love being a real uncle Jesse and uncle Joey form full house.
I’m pretty sure keyport was one of the first key organizers on the market. I remember seeing them in a sky mall catelog almost a decade ago
I carry the Jens Carabiner. Perfect knuckle duster, with cutter & bottle opener - even takes enamel paint if you want different colors.
Replace the belt with the Wazoo cache belt. It's pretty awesome
I have a similar belt, plastic belt buckle. I have to take it off every time at the airport because it has a metal zipper like this one does. Attention Wally market travelers there is money here!
Loved it; never heard of most of these. Thanks!
That bottle the name brand equivalent is Swell in terms of style but they don't have the pocket
Also have that pencil it's the only lead holder I have that the mechanism hasn't broken because it's so simple
Informative video, thanks for the heads up on the junk and input on the others. I'd consider the hero clips they look useful.
Heroclip is a must have on my backpack. Put it on the carry handle and hang it up anywhere! It's a must have!
Loved the arc lighter good product mate thanks for the info
Hey man,
Great show. I watch your show a fair bit. I live in Victoria BC, Canada. So I'm forever looking up the local prices for things you have on your show. I just looked up the Thyrm on Amazon.ca, and FYI, it is $100.00 CDN!! Crazy town! lol Great case, I'm sure...but at that price it better drive me home from the pub! lol.
Thanks again for the great show. Keep on rockin' it out.
What I found with the thyrm provault is that the zipo fuel lasts waaaaaay longer than your standard zippo casing because it won't evaporate constantly due to provault's water tightness.
agreed, *[DATA EXPUNGED]*
Yeah I live in the desert, and a Zippo won't light after six hours.
For the water bottle. all you would need to do is find something that could act as a rubber grip. It would conceal the threading.
road bike handle bar wrap or if tou need something more grippy then skateboard tape
Heroclip is great to hang my water bottle off it, and for my go-bag for overnighting. 1 drawback wish it held 100 lbs and had rounded over edges. I took a file and sandpaper to try to get that done otherwise those sharp edges are not heroic to what you clip it to. Best keychain light Nitecore TIKI-LE 300 Lumen USB Rechargeable Keychain Flashlight R/B
The lighter is a stoner tool to roll blunts that’s incredibly funny and a very niche edc item love it
You are sharing things I won’t buy based on your analysis! Love the channel, damn it.
Yeah Fowler definitely puts his slingshot ammo in his belt along with some small fire starters and other various items haha
I think the first bottle would be great at the beach if you’re in the water!
thanks, great ideas, need more of this content
Subscribed for your honesty. Great video 🤙🏽
Because of this channel, I spent $112 on an ink pen. Thanks Taylor and Tactile Turn. My wallet is mildly displeased with you both. Hopefully the pen is as amazing as it looks.
MontBlanc makes very stylish $100+ pens. Get those too!
I carry a lighterbro as a part of my edc, I laughed when Taylor put the bic on the table thinking, watch him pull a lightbro. I hand them out as xmas gifts to my coworkers. We're productive stoners.
I've been using the pencil for about a year now. I absolutely love it!
I’m glad I found this video showing the opinel utility. I’ve been long looking for a knife with just 1 or 2 serrations.me personally I hate the look of serrations but i know they’re super useful for stripping wire or making kindling. I’ve always wanted a knife that has just 1 or two serrations. Most knives either offer full straight edge or half serrations half straight which to me looks bad and away takes half the blades edge. The only thing I don’t like about the opinel utility is the fact it’s a multi tool. Opinel if your watching please make a version on a standard wood handle!
I love my hero clip for drying out my sweaty gear after a hike!
the opinel piece intrigues me, but to that end, 9 times out of 10 i'll have my tool pouch on me so a single piece that big is overkill, I like having my leatherman.
my go-to light is the Streamlight Micro AAA model.
The ultimate EDC 'disposable' lighter, IMhO, has to be a Clipper.
I'm not sure how common they are in the US but in Europe/UK they're everywhere. Considered a bit of a work-horse, they're very popular with 'smokers' for good reason, they're solidly built and very well designed for a cheap lighter (about €1/£1, maybe 1.50 if you don't shop around):
- They're refillable and have replaceable flints so in theory they can last a long time *
- They are also known for their ability to be be held upside-down for longer than your average Bic lighter, without melting!
- In order to change the flint you pull out the flint/wheel assembly from the lighter body, this often comes in handy as a poking/prodding tool for tweaking your roach ;-)
* Eventually the flint wheel gets too smooth but you can swap out the flint assembly. Also I've recently found out that the gas refill valve doesn't last forever! I never managed to keep hold of one long enough to really test it's lifespan but since the pandemic I managed to keep the same one for nearly 2 years before it gave way. (After refilling you can hear the valve letting out gas, it's not the end of the world unless you're very close to a naked flame)
For the Stash It: anyone else hear Ron Snider saying "you can put your weeeeeed in there"?
Lol
Opinel’s are really good knives
I got a Corkcicle from work, 60oz water canteen. The mouthpiece is a little large but it kept ice water for three days before I had to get more ice. I can't talk on their prices, but as a 60 oz, it's definitely quality.
Also has a rubber bottom! Small concern, but it is nice when you set it on a really hard surface.
I’m a pretty unusual dude , so I’m excited !!
I don't think that bottle was made to hold wallets in I think it be made for Substances
I think the water bottle is great, for bug out you could put a fishing kit, medical kit, or hygiene and medicines, the bottom could be a cup or little bowl. You could also separate the sides with a round piece of a milk jug to store things separately. You could use a thin Styrofoam to put up in there to insulate the bottle better and help with condensation from the contents. Also you could put tea bags, coffee pouches, packets of creamer, sugar, stir sticks, mini candy bars, a mini bic, condiment straws, salt packs, etc... Would be great for camping! And hiking!
That bottle would be a good concept for the pool or the beach, but it really would be more useful if it would fit a hotel key card at least.
@@monkeytrumpet11 Did I say "survival" or "emergency" in another post here or are you just blowing hot air?? 🤨
Did know that they are refillable, but did not know about the burst of gas when upside down, or the flint refill. Awesomeness
I actually have a lead holder pencil that I got in a garage sale box full of different stationary things. It’s important to note that they sell these sharpeners that kinda file away at the lead so it leaves a sharp point and doesn’t snap the lead
I have one of those little Keyport torches. I put it inside my EDC bag, and when I can't see inside it very well, I just pop on that little torch and it lights up everything in my bag. Not much use beyond that, but that's really the only reason I bought it. With the included clip, it was begging to be clipped inside a bag.
My favorite thing to carry in a tourist stash belt is a charging cable for my phone.
I remember when the heroclip came out, I almost bought one because I thought it would be good for hanging your coat on table when going to restaurant or bar.
The Ohto Minimo is the absolutely best edc pen/mechanical pencil options out there right now. Small enough to fit in your wallet and they are very high quality made in japan. They even come with a credit card holder thingy so you can keep in in a card slot in your wallet
The Lighter Bro is Awesome. They have two different sizes. He has the mini-Bic lighter version. The full size Bic lighter version has scissors on one side and the knife & poke on the other. You can also buy a wire clip so you can have it attached to your pocket.
I have my flashlight and Lighter-Bro on my left side and my pocketknife on a right. The Lighter-Bro has been one of my favorite EDC items for a long time now. I’d highly recommend picking up one and make sure to get the wire clip.
The clip was more money than it should have been, but it really does make a difference in the likelihood that you will carry it with you more often. I have the mini-Bic lighter version too. However, the mini-Bic doesn’t have a clip and I only throw it in my pocket as a backup if my full size Bic is getting low on fuel or when I just can’t find the larger version.
TL/DR: Buy the full sized Bic lighter version and the wire clip that is sold separately. It’s has proven it’s worth time and again.
I have a few of the heroclips. They are great!! I got the original on kick starter and the name was different.
the Hero Clip looks perfect for dangling a pot over the fire!
I keep a Heroclip in my bag, has saved me from putting my bag on a dirty public bathroom floor many times.
The biggest problem for me is conceal carrying a pistol and using public restrooms.
I carry a heroclip clipped to my belt everyday. It is incredible how many uses you can find for it. Well mainly hanging things but thats incredibly helpful. It’s also a fantastic fidget toy.
Great idea maybe put a escape an evade in the compartment on the water bottle just an idea for anyone who might buy it
I’ve been carrying the Arc Company Boulder wallet for about a month now and I absolutely love it. I would like to get a wallet very similar to it but in leather. What would you recommend?
Your idea on the Stash bottle is awesome. You could have that made in few colors and sell them on amazon.
Lol Olight definitely does not need a crappy version of it. I often times have to try 3 or 4 times to get it to start charging. Also debris gets in the tail switch of the warrior mini 2.
If battery hand warmer would fit in the storage compartment it might help keep your contents warm longer.
love the butane!
taylor, check out the new o-light pen and light, test it and let us know
Good looking strap combo on your Damasko...
The Bindle Bottle is a great option. We take one to the beach all the time
Check out Klean Kanteen for all your reusable bottle needs. Love their options of insulated vs not, colors and accessories!
I really like the Wuben flashlights that are on Amazon. My EDC is a Wuben C3.
You can pick up a TOMOLO Waterproof Plasma lighter with emergency lanyard whistle for $13 on Amazon. Has that same case. The head is raised but not canted to the side like yours. I find it works pretty well to get tinder lit. There are about a dozen no name chinese versions as well.
I’ve used one of those pencils before and I did not like it, at least not for school use. I constantly had to sharpen the lead and the sharpener it comes with would always open in my bag and get lead everywhere. It could be good for home use where you don’t have to carry it but I would not recommend for edc
They should use a double walled bottle. You couldn't fit anything too big in but you could stash A LOT of stuff around the outer edges in the "vacuum" portion (anything thin or flexible). It just wouldn't insulate well at all but would otherwise be hard to detect.
