Can’t see, just dropping $100, on most of that! I agree with the Fenix E03R, mine is in my around the house clothes pants pocket. I’ve had it for about two years, & it’s the most used flashlight I have! As for the wallet, your idea of the rubber bands may of been better! I like my pocket knives to have just a steel blade, not black, or green, or beige. I carry a Zebra 701, have had for years. Tried a magnetic key ring, a few years ago, I was lucky, someone saw me lose my keys, & yelled out to me. I decided not to take that route again. Drive carefully, & smile often!
@@Horde334 Shortly after I got the Fenix light, I make a Paracord fob for it. Easy to pull out of my pocket. Pendant would work well also. I keep a little rechargeable Olight on my key ring.
Nice job. Maybe next instead of $100 limit. Do best value edc. Or only buy stuff you haven't owned and use it for awhile then tell us if you would buy it again or choose something else.
Surprised you didn't go with a civivi mini praxis. They're only $30 and D2 (it's currently the knife that goes everywhere with me). Only downside is the handle might be a little smaller than you like. Could've done that and then gotten a Rambler for your Swiss army knife instead and gotten the best of the rally and classic SD in one tool.
The key to a successful 100 or even 50 dollar EDC is to include the 10 dollar liner lock unassisted flipper with bearings pocketknife from Harbor Freight. It's currently my favorite pocketknife under 25 bucks.
Ruike P801 Frame Lock /14C28N steel. $34.95 SAK Classic SD sapphire $17.92 Zebra F-301 Blue $3.14 Chelmon Slim Wallet $6.99 RovyVon A1 usbC 650 lumen $ 22.91 Nite Ize S-Binder #3 dual lock $2.97 $88.88 Probably upgrade to a SAK tinker or add a little Kershaw or Gerber pry bar. But honestly out of these things I'd actually buy probably the knife as one to hand to others, and the SAK.
Theres a “hybrid 1000 lumen headlamp” from energizer…. Its L shape, and takes cr123 or a 18650…. Use it in the next edc… as a construction guy, it took over my coast hx5… its UI is good… after 8 secondsof on, when yon turn it off, it comes back on to that setting, so good.
You're being mean to the SAK Rally. It swaps out the scissors of the Classic for a Philips screwdriver. Depends which you'd rather have. They do make a model with both, but that's a bit wider and more expensive.
Great video! The items might not be a first choice for regular carry but, hey, in a pinch if you can use what you have then it’s a win. Thanks. My favorite item was the knife. No-frills. Useable.
Next cheap edc you do you ought to check out CJRB knives. They are the Civivi level of Artisan Cutlery. They average in the 30 to 50 dollar price point but are great quality just like Civivi. They use mainly RPM9 steel.
For the wallet, I would’ve gotten a Ranger band, made from bike inner tubes. Very durable very stretchy multi use, but also would double as an impromptu Wallet. Not sure what your standards were for this test as far as wallets go, but that’s the big thing I would’ve done to save some money to maybe apply elsewhere even though your wallet was crazy cheap
Great vid - try maybe each item 30-50 bux- build epic budget carry but solid in each category--- never met some1 to buy their whole edc in 1 buy ----- still makes for awesome vids tho --- rock on amigo
Don't cut toward yourself is a great rule until you learn to do so safely. Keep your hands out of the way, don't put arteries in the path of the blade, etc

So... If I was going $100 budget I'd be happy with: (prices rounded up with cash left over.) -Sitivien ST124 in Jade g10 for $30 before a 5% coupon at check out. (Fidgety cross-bar Lock. Own one already and it works surprisingly well. But if push came to shove and I needed to save a little $$ I'd be able to work with a Kabar Dozier at around $25) -Rovyvon A1 for $20 -EDC Pocket organizer for $11 (Arc Company Bolder Wallet knock-off) -Victorinox Tinker for $22 (multitool needs to multitool... a Classic doesn't) -Pokka pen ($8 for one out of a 2-pk at $16) -$8 on a Gerber Mullet as a Keyring/Prybar/Key hanger/"multitool" thing Tinker would go on the mullet with keys and a free rubber band from work as a key silencer (and hang from a belt loop or rest at the bottom of a deep front pocket). Pokka Pen and RovyVon would go in the edc wallet which can also hold several cards and a couple large denomination emergency bills in a front off-hand pocket (I primarily pay for things with my phone). Sitivien clipped to a main-hand pocket (either front or back depending on preference) This mirrors elements of my actual edc. Under 4 inch blade on the Sitivien ST124 keeps it Florida Legal and I appreciate that it has a 90° spine for scraping tasks. EDC wallet lets me access Pen (sign invoices) or Flashlight (peer into dark corners) without pulling the wallet out. Prybar for prying on things like nails stuck in pallet jack wheels in my case. Victorinox to tighten loose screws, open after work beverages, pull splinters, etc etc etc...

I bought 2. Because yes. I use my nicer Kershaw for EDC and my HF for work EDC.
@@mourneris IMO the HF is superior to many of the Walmart grade Kershaw and CRKT, and all the Gerber. Amazing for 10 bucks.
Ruike P801 Frame Lock /14C28N steel. $34.95
SAK Classic SD sapphire $17.92
Zebra F-301 Blue $3.14
Chelmon Slim Wallet $6.99
RovyVon A1 usbC 650 lumen $ 22.91
Nite Ize S-Binder #3 dual lock $2.97
$88.88
Probably upgrade to a SAK tinker or add a little Kershaw or Gerber pry bar.
But honestly out of these things I'd actually buy probably the knife as one to hand to others, and the SAK.
Victorinox swiss champ, or victorinox mini champ... Both have pens, and knife blade.
Does anyone know what the best place is to buy ranger eye patches?
Theres a “hybrid 1000 lumen headlamp” from energizer…. Its L shape, and takes cr123 or a 18650…. Use it in the next edc… as a construction guy, it took over my coast hx5… its UI is good… after 8 secondsof on, when yon turn it off, it comes back on to that setting, so good.
For the price for knives the ruike p801 and qsp penguin are both great choices
i like cutting towards myself, it keeps me awake and makes me pay attention.
Got the rally one time for the budget, actually like that thing it lives on my desk and find myself using it all the time
You're being mean to the SAK Rally.
No-frills. Useable.
For the pens you should have gotten the Bic Atlantis
This is perfect ! i had to sell EVERYTHING when both my parents died this year so i can stay at his house so this is literally my budget lol
The Acumen is actually a decent knife. Reminds me of my F5.5
A zebra pen is always my go to for 4 bucks and metal
Next cheap edc you do you ought to check out CJRB knives. They are the Civivi level of Artisan Cutlery. They average in the 30 to 50 dollar price point but are great quality just like Civivi. They use mainly RPM9 steel.
I’ve done one with the Feldspar
I think the Zebra X-701 is the best budget pen
Buck Bantam 19.99, Zebra F 701 8.07., SOG POWERINT 46.99, Olight 13T EOS 19.95, xabono AirTag wallet 4.00. Total 99.00
use the magnetic link to attach the flashlight to one of the knives? maybe that was the underlying thought?
Got to love that Amazon packaging. 😅
Taylor, that is a good looking knife 👍
I like these budget challenge videos but I have to agree with you. Absolutely nothing in this video caught my eye
These are always fun to watch ✌️
You should do a $100 or however much Etsy video 🤔
Great vid - try maybe each item 30-50 bux- build epic budget carry but solid in each category--- never met some1 to buy their whole edc in 1 buy ----- still makes for awesome vids tho --- rock on amigo
Had that light for a long time on my keys. Can't fault it at all.
Why not get a Parker pen? Or do those not retail in America?
DEAD RIGHT NO THOUGHT OF CHANGING, I DIDNT WANNA SEE WATCHES THOUGHT ABOUT IT ONCE AFTER U SAID IT BUT NAHH GREAT ASSUMTIONS!!!
You should try the key unity bolt action pens
HELL YESS BACK TO THE ROOTS🎉❤
Best military store edc?
Don't cut toward yourself is a great rule until you learn to do so safely. Keep your hands out of the way, don't put arteries in the path of the blade, etc
Swap the knife for a buck 722 spitfire. Aluminum body, ergonomics of a spiderco. Thin. And screw holes on all corners for pocket clip options.
Good luck on the $50 adventure
my edc is
-microtech utx-85 black d/e
-microtech utx-85 purple d/e
-microtech utx-70 green d/e
-microtech exocet sandtrooper d/e
-microtech exocet black d/e
-hogue incursion tanto black
-hogue hadron d/a gray
-kershaw livewire
-dietz little wizard
I'd go for a 111mm Victorinox with a decent toolset instead of the knife+victorinox rally.
I may give this a shot at $50 looking forward to watching your $50 edc challenge
What about covering best uncommon Swiss army /multi tool parts?
The magnetic keyring I would switch up with mechanical version funny enough I still have the one I baught and used since high-school though I use it to hold my leather outback hat still iys never failed and I can assure you my hat ways much more than keys have even take a tumble or two down a hill and still had my hat on my bag
What knife were you opening everything with?
awesome video with lots of information.
The civivi mini praxis is great an a nice $30 on Amazon
Yeah man what were you thinking with that SAK ,although smaller a classic SD💩all over that one .
So... If I was going $100 budget I'd be happy with: (prices rounded up with cash left over.)
-Sitivien ST124 in Jade g10 for $30 before a 5% coupon at check out. (Fidgety cross-bar Lock. Own one already and it works surprisingly well. But if push came to shove and I needed to save a little $$ I'd be able to work with a Kabar Dozier at around $25)
-Rovyvon A1 for $20
-EDC Pocket organizer for $11 (Arc Company Bolder Wallet knock-off)
-Victorinox Tinker for $22 (multitool needs to multitool... a Classic doesn't)
-Pokka pen ($8 for one out of a 2-pk at $16)
-$8 on a Gerber Mullet as a Keyring/Prybar/Key hanger/"multitool" thing
Tinker would go on the mullet with keys and a free rubber band from work as a key silencer (and hang from a belt loop or rest at the bottom of a deep front pocket). Pokka Pen and RovyVon would go in the edc wallet which can also hold several cards and a couple large denomination emergency bills in a front off-hand pocket (I primarily pay for things with my phone). Sitivien clipped to a main-hand pocket (either front or back depending on preference)
This mirrors elements of my actual edc.
Best EDC channel on RUclips! Classic solid format!!!!! This is the kind of video that Taylor put out that sent me spiraling out of control into EDC!!! 😇🤜🤛😎 Keep up the amazing work Taylor!!!! #1 fan 😜👊
vosteed is my go to for under 100 bucks knife.
