I just finished this desk for my grandson. He loves it! Thanks for the inspiration! I burned on bottom of desk “made with love, Grandma. Just so he won’t forget😁
Where have you been all my life. I've searched so many projects and barely came across your channel today. My dad was a carpenter and watching other videos cutting into the wood and adding glue was so overwhelming. Especially when using a planer. So glad I found your channel. Love all your videos! Now I feel confident to build some of your projects myself. These farmhouse styles are my fav 😀
This made a perfect size for an extension to my kitchen counter top. I needed the counter space for a toaster oven and microwave. Added a middle shelf and a full bottom shelf and I had exactly what I needed. Thanks again.
Your the best ! I’ve already built 4 of your wood projects and I’ve never built anything ! My family is amazed at what you have taught me.My husband was also amazed when I went out in his garage and started using his drills and saws and buying my own stuff at Lowe’s ! Thank you so much for your free plans and videos ! Your the best!!!!!
I love how you create such live looking things out of construction lumber. I’m always amazed how you can find boards that aren’t twisted , cupped, or warped so badly they are unusable. :)
Wow, great addiction to your house. Making all your own furniture is a plus. Since you've gotten your forever home it is coming together w/your own pieces & what you like. Good on you. I prefer your method of putting, what you like, building all your own stuff. Sometimes I go to the furniture store & just hate what's out there on the market. I'll have some idea what I want & there's nothing around my area @ all. So I really would, wood, rather build or pay someone to make it for me. Plus it's a better product bc there only building one or two pieces for me & it's not a mass production of that piece. Thank you for being so gangerous to us w/your line of Ana Whites pieces, Chris from Missouri
@@AnaWhiteDIY my leg and aprons are pretty darn stable without the X so for added functionality, I'm going to add some shelves where the X's are for storing books and small storage boxes. Also, wouldn't the top get splits if you glue them to the bottom? I was thinking of using table fastners instead to allow for wood movement. Or is that an overkill?
It's easy and cheap. You can do that. No superman skills required. The results get better with more and more practice, but that's no reason to not do it. Just do it.
your of first few I started learning from years ago . thank you very much. the great thing about your tutorials is that there videos for all skill levels, and one can gradually improve too.
So great. Grateful this used tools I have so I could follow. I don't understand kreg jigs so just attaching with screws I could fully grasp. Thank you, Ana!
I love the desk. I will be building one hopefully on my days off. A few things I will change though are that I will use a lap joint for the x's as you mentioned. I'm going to use pocket holes or dows for the legs. If I use dow's I will have them a darker color and show from the outside contrast. Lastly, for the tabletop, I think I will take a router and go around the edges and glue the top together before assembling it. This was an awesome video as are all your other videos.
@@AnaWhiteDIY I will post it to your website when I am done with it. Hoping to start on it tomorrow. Keep the videos coming I love your passion for creating.
Beautiful choice of stain.. how many coats did you apply to the beautiful desk you built? As always you and your husband give us such quality content and easy to follow plans. Thank you guys for all the inspiration and also the plans🌸🌿👏
Ann, hello from Russia. I've found you chanel by chance. And now i fall in love 😍 Thank you for useful content. My husband gonna do all these amazing stuff 😊
You are the best!!! Thank you , thank you, thank you... I have learned so much from you. I was wondering if you could do a video for a master closet organization system... I need to do one for my master closet and I have watched many but nobody does it like you!!!!
Ana! I love your channel! Can you make a video or free plans for a cute Wishing Well? I checked your blog, but couldn’t find anything simple. Thank you for all your awesome content! 🙏
Love it can u do a Farmhouse TV stand that has Farmhouse Doors n the stand doesn’t take up a lot of room width n length wise!!! Also hides all ur gadgets/cords but is affordable!!!
Ana this was inspiring for me and also it’s so beautifully designed and so simple 💪😍🤓 keep going simple is always perfect 👌 And here's my subscribe U deserve it
Hi Ana, I've built your Queen farmhouse bed, farmhouse living room table and I love your plans. I've never used glue even though you have been recommending it and I was wondering the importance of it? Extra solidity or just as a joint "sealer"? Just curious
Do you have plans for it's big brother? I need room for desktop computer, printer, printer paper, a book and paper, cell phone, microphone, soundbar, power strip. etc. At least 1 drawer would also be nice.
Looks great - If I wanted to make this desk as a small dining table, could I just add a central spine in the middle of the table top to help stabilize the table? Not sure I am stating that correctly. Also without a mitre saw I could do straight cuts and make uprights in the middle of the end pieces, yes? Kind of like mission style? I know the strength could be compromised without the x's tho. Would need a way to strengthen horizontally. I am balking at buying a mitre saw until I have more funding for such. Oh and your nailer is battery!! I thought they were always run by compressed air.
I would suggest doing a google search for "Ana White table" we have a lot of existing plans that would be helpful. The angle cuts could also be achieved with a circular saw or jigsaw! AND YES battery operated tools are so nice and work great for these types of applications.
I followed your plans for a similar piece but had trouble with the top because my boards weren’t straight. Do you need a wood planer? Or do you have tips for getting boards that will sit flush?
I’ve made a few of these, never thought to put the shelf/footrest on the bottom. Great idea! I just need to figure out a good selling price for these...any suggestions?
This is doable. Finally something that does not need lots of tools
Thanks for watching, I have tons of free plans great for beginners and limited tools!
This is my favorite DIY channel!!!
Love her work/plans. Modified her farmhouse coffee table, making it taller in order to use as our outdoor patio TV stand. It was a perfect choice.

I am curious as well. I never use glue...
Ana says use glue every time you use nails to improve strength.
Gorgeous! Now I want one! 🤩
I’d love to see how you build a stool/chair for this! I made a desk similar and can’t find a chair or stool that I like for it...
Absolutely stunning 😍🔥👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Seems so simple , I like your outfit too lol looks comfy for the shop. I am a subscriber now ! Lol
Thanks for subbing!

Looks good. Functional? Where to your feet go with the bottom bracing?

Is that the 18ga brad nailer? Would the 16ga finish nailer work?
Wonderful !
