Yes! When I find myself stuck in a rut or there seems no joy in every day for long periods of time, I know I need to do something new. Having a disabling condition causes hurdles that are likely to hold me back, but there is Always something I can do for even a small change. 5 beaches within 15 to 20 minutes of my home, and I love to sit and watch the waves, or the boats in a harbor, or watch the dogs play with their humans. And then there's my cats. They always love being adored.
I get it. Once, I sat in a different chair @ the table & was able to see a young deer out my window. Just by sitting 1 chair over. I call it stuck, stuck in a pattern of behavior. I would've never seen it if I had not done that. So silly.
Great mindset. There really is beauty everywhere. Sometimes I have to force myself to get out and do things but coming home with a pretty picture of a sunset or helping a friend with a project always makes me feel better.
Wow! Great video Nick! I need to re-Watch it and take notes of the 5 things one can do to truly change. Next topic: Being kind. Granted I’m older and enjoy encouraging people, sharing knowledge, etc. I’m very much into animal rescue, sharing ideas about microchips and ID tags that don’t jingle. Sharing and learning training techniques. It’s a great way to start to know people. The Rally: I feel terrible for the family of the man who died’s family at the and the 2 men who had to undergo many surgeries to have a chance at recovery. And I feel bad for Donald Trump and his family. If not for the gentleman in the stands passing away I would probably feel the worst for the shooter. It’s too bad a neighbor or a teacher didn’t come across him and really get to know him. Encourage him to leave Bethel Park. Move to Pittsburgh or another big city. They say that there is no such thing as a geographic cure. But for me, leaving a small town with no future and an alcoholic family it definately set the stage to create a better life for myself. I wonder if Crooks even had dreams at this point, age 20, I’m not sure he was looking for advice. Esp if he was an injustice collector. The damage may have already been done. Take care Nick. Love your channel. Don’t pay mind to beer texts! I think most of the completely unnecessary comments are brought in by people who are likely drinking 😅
You put your plant into "ICU". Plant lady here❤. I have given myself shock therapy make making geographic changes when I realized I was dependant upon my sister and agoraphobic. It works. I also had family support in the new place as well as attempting to care for my elderly Grandmother.
Transplanted from fertile soil to arid land Was more than my young mind could understand; Learning to find sunshine where there was none Was where I found my strength without the sun. But, despite my pain and great confusion, I was never alone in my seclusion: Instead of seeing them as my unravelers, I learned to view my parents as fellow travelers.

@@amyrish9533 Yes but a "know it all" can stand up for himself and a "know it all" (usually) brings it on himself. I don't like the idea of people showing 16yr old picture of him, then pretending he was a meek and mild kid who got bullied. (Painting false narrative)

It seems Thomas was an only child. Two year degree in engineering so obviously intelligent. I notice he has an under bite which may have been a point of ridicule at school. As I see it, yes, I agree on all your points being valid, but I also think there's no guarantee that this young man wasn't born with a Narcissistic nature... Narcissists aren't beyond being bullied by others and they are also beyond help (as far as I know) because they are like addicts who don't admit their addictions
Nick, just want to say this has been a wonderful series? I don't know if that's the right word, but your words are so inspirational for youngsters and am sure teachers or guidance counselors would find them so as well. Now how do we get this into schools.. seriously. For me I've lived alot and by that I don't mean with weakth or travel but more with experiences, being brought up the way I was and having an angry older brother who talked alot about killing people he wanted revenge on etc. And he was so smart and good looking and yet having those assets gives people a false impression that they know who you are and make assumptions that life has been easy to you (far from it). The mention of moving out of your parents house is the key, but having watched alot of crime stories many of them resort to knocking off the parents and think they're going to still be living in the same house. I myself ran away from home at fifteen with my boyfriend and we were gone for three months. We were those kids from the 1970's hitchhiking all over the place. We were eventually found in of all places So it seems they like where they live but cant stand the parents. I wonder how he got along with his. I for one found my parents very interesting, they weren't good parents but they more interesting and talented than most people. I haven't seen much coverage of this story. But you did.
That is a false statement because everyone wants to be happy. If you don't want to be happy or feel it isn't important there must be something wrong there. Or you are being a smart Alec here lmao. 🤣
Ask someone who is stuck in a place that is really horrible like an abusive home.. Is it a decision in that instance? I would tell that person to not give up and to try and find a way out of his/her predicament as soon as possible but I definitely wouldn't expect that person to be happy until he or she has escaped from that situation. As was communicated by Nick here in #1..... a move would be necessary. It is ultimately up to the person but there are going to be times we all will be tried when it comes to our happiness. It does take work and it is definitely worth all the effort.
This is undoubtedly the most significant video of yours I’ve ever watched and I think you know I’ve watched a lot of your videos. But your ability for discovering “the light” in difficult times is inspiring and truly impactful. Thank you for creating this and moreover, for offering such empathetic perspectives on complex issues. You’re the best Nick. Like the karate kid…. except way cooler.

In the short clips we see of him, he seems somewhat personable and a know it all
Its the 'know it all' part that would've gotten him bullied

Didn’t Crooks parents know anything about what was going on with him!!
You need to look into Max Yearick.
He had probably ASD and ADHD, maybe assosiated with other disorders, that is way he was a loner
