It's not quite like that of chromexcel leather, and it does not have the pull up effect as seen in chromexcel, but it has an aroma and premium quality characteristics of it's own that are just as desirable, if not more desirable than any fine leather. Good video! 👍🏼 I own several wallets and all I can say is wait until your Fat Herbie breaks in if you like it now you will love it and I promise you will buy another and another. The Fat Herbie is a superior wallet and in my opinion you can’t compare the quality of the Ashland Leather wallets to mass produced wallets. I personally will never purchase another mass produced wallet again
The reason currency was ever printed is so that it can be exchanged for wallets made by Ashland leather. I think I’m going to expound upon this in my next video. Thanks for the great comment!

FYI. Filson has sources most of its luggage/bag leather from Wickett and Craig. I believe they use leather from that tannery for their wallets too. Which is very good.

I just got a Johnny the fox in English tan dublin for my first nice wallet. You sold me on the fat herbie (yours is gorgeous) now I just need to figure out which shell I like the best. ✌

This leather uses no chemicals in the tanning process. Vegetable tanned leather is all natural. Chrome tan is where chemicals are used

I’m actually ordering up an all black shell cordovan Johnny the Fox this week myself. It will be my final wallet for my collection for all time. I just have to have it. These wallets are like my most prized possessions right now. Will be yours too. 😄
Pull the trigger and get he Johnny the Fox I have a couple in Shell Cordovan, CXL and Dublin leathers . Once you break it in you will place your Coach wallet in the drawer and retire it from service . The quality of the Ashland Leather wallets are second to none . The JTF is a classy wallet you will love it 👍🏼
