I like the idea of restoring the 4x4 first gen selling it then put the money into the 2x4 and keep it, do what ever you want to it, now in terms of height for the 2x4 first gen I would level it, dont go to crazy! Make it a nice classic truck, and off course add your out touch to it.

Lower the dually and put it on some 22 Alcoa’s I’ve seen a single cab dually 2nd gen lowered on 22 Alcoa’s and it looks absolutely amazing, I’ve never seen a 1st gen that’s a single cab lowered on semi truck Alcoa’s maybe you’ll be the first to do it and it’ll be different 🤔

I just this week bought my very first ram a first gen 1990 Ram w150 with the 5.2L 318 small block in it i paid $400 for the entire truck its not running and it's in rough shape it was a plow truck there is a hole in the floor but the frame is solid. I'm selling the plow for $350 so no matter what I do with that truck I only spent at the end of the day $50 for it basically. But I plan on fixing the hole in the floor fixing it up and seeing how nice I can make it.

Restore and sell the 4X4. The 2 wheel drive, if you plan on a complete rebuild, maybe something that we haven’t seen for a while. Something like a rendition of a 1978 Little Red Express. They were a highly sought after truck then and even now. I understand the body style is way different. But if you plan to keep it for yourself, why not make something special out of it ! Would be a difficult build, but with all of your skills, I believe it possible.

Ok, maroon truck: build your dually (lowered or stock) Then take 4x4 and lower it and build a race truck (to be hauled with other one). Then again if you want money to build maroon truck, build (not full) the 4x4 and flip it, then build your dually.

I have a 89 Dodge Ram d150 318ci but wish it was a Cummins but it’s a brand new rebuilt motor, brand new rims and tires, brand new brakes, dual angled side exit exhaust with 6 in chrome angle cut tips, brand new tail lights but the grill is off a 91 first gen and it looks pretty much like my profile pic. It’s my baby

Maybe bag the 2wd not necessary slam it but get it low and keep it as a hauler and paint it like a metallic root beer brown. For the 4x4 lift it get it cleaned up and put it on some 26x14 and 36s.

I think u should keep the 2wd and bag it and go with the manual the 4wd u should def do like a 4 inch lift nothing too big and do a built auto trans and make it a dually I think that combo will bring good money being it a 4x4 dually

You gotta keep the 4x4. You are going to keep it, and it will be your personal old school. So keep the best one and the one worth the most money.

Personally think you should use 2x4 frame with the 4x4 cab like do all frame engine bay etc would look killer

keep the 2wd, bag it and put some big wheels under it since everything else is lifted. sell the 4wd but keep it closer to stock including the trans for a better sale..

If your going to powder coat the frame a 4x4 makes more sense to me because it will be way easier to see the work you put in it

2wd dually slammed on drag tires running 7s in the 8th mile 😍

Bro you gotta do two tone on the one you’re keeping also I think you should do like a 4-7 inch lift that would make the dually look massive and bad to the bone

I have a feeling u are leaning to the 2wd dually and i dont blame u. I say keep it and build the 4wd for sale or raffle here for the funding. Seems most would take either. but yes a 4wd would sell quicker in the restored setting

Lowered 4x2 1st gen dually would be sick but the 4x4 1st gen dually lifted is gonna b awesome and the resale value would bring in a lot of money or even if you do a give away raffle that would b cool
