If there were a RUclips award for excellence, this video would be a prime contender. No BS, no wasted time. incredibly detailed and accurate, and excellently videographed. Hats off to you and your team! Thank you for doing this and making it available to the public. AT NO CHARGE!
whats the worse that will happen if that felt seal is no longer part of the dryer drum? during covid-19 we have a full house and drying our clothes 24-7. As a result, the old drum felt sell came off and was found in a load of dried clothes. Do I need to rush to put a new one on?
To keep hot air in? I thought the main reason these things were changed was because clothes get pinched between the drum and housing causing them to tear
I hope you learned something in the five years that you posted this. Is it that hard for you to use your noggin? Simple logic would tell you that the seal would also serve to trap heat inside of your dryer, much like the seal around the top of a Stanley cup or the seal on your refrigerator door for example. Do you think your food would stay cold inside of your refrigerator if you had no seals on the door? Do you think your house would stay hot in the winter time if you had no seals in the door and it was just a big crack? I’m not sure what your IQ is, but anyone with a number above say, 95 could discern something so elementary like this.
@@erik1514 The adhesive that comes with the felt seal is designed to withstand high heat. Just finished putting a new seal on my dryer. The adhesive works well; aluminum foil tape would require space that the adhesive doesn't.

Great video...but shouldn't I replace both the front and rear seals at the same time?
Thanks, great video! This gave me the confidence to do it myself.
You are welcome!
Where do we buy the glue stuff you are showing at 11:00 - what is a good brand?

Replace immediately.

Boom roasted
Thank you!
thanks, simple thing can be the worst if you never done it befor ,cheers
You're welcome!
you should have told us that there are 2 seals that should have been replaced
"easy repair"!!!!! just take the whole thing apart:(
And of course in an *enormous* & empty room! I barely have enough room to pull mine out, let alone be able to access all 4 sides. 🤦🏻♀️
What would happen if I use aluminum foil tape, instead of glue, to secure the felt seal to the drum?
How did it work? I'm sure using some sort of super glue would be a better option.
