Just keep €10,000 in the glovebox to pay for a new engine when the wet belt explodes somewhere between zero and 50k miles. Then wait for Ford to act like it’s never happened to every other transit diesel with a wet belt.
Which configuration of diesel engine by Ford has this "wet belt" problem which is being decried all over the Internet, RUclips, Reddit, etc.? (i.e. 2.XL ?? . . . I4? . . . Nomenclature of engine??) This is a BIG Problem for Ford!
I saw a RUclips video on RUclips of a '23 or '24 Ford Transit Custom or Tourneo Custom offered by Sixt in Norway. The drivetrain is AWD. Given that you live in Sweden, did you think about buying this drivetrain to contend with winter conditions? Great videos. Good Luck with this Ford Transit Connect.
@@MrSwatUpNorth Hello Mr. Swat: Am i to take it then that you purchased the 'AWD' vrrsion of thr Ford Transit Custom and NOT the 'FWD' version? What is your take cum understanding of this oroblem of a 'wet belt' in this diesel engine versus a 'timing chain'? It looks to be a BAD problem!! U.S. market: I live un the States. The Mexican market has been selling the Ford Transit Connect for almost a decade. There is a deep, secondary market. I'm evaluating whether a used one can be importrd, at all. If so, then retrofit a European, AWD drivetrain (& gearbox). Perhaps the diesel engine needs looking at? Again . . . GREAT videos - VERY informative!
Your problem isn't with Ford, but the snow, as annoying as the windscreen wipers are to clean they are protected by aerodynamicly so the vehicle perform better with less road noise... Finding the perfect snow vehicle is a real challenge... Ford Tourneo custom and the transit are terrific and better than their VW cousin.. Great video...
Thanks Kurt! You’re right there, totally new car for me! So far pretty satisfied with it and we have had a lot of snow ❄️ this winter. Looking forward to test it out this summer while going on fishing trips!
If you don’t live in an area where it snows a lot, you can’t understand how annoying that would be. And the guy then corrected himself by showing they can be moved, so that’s some quality content imho.
The rubber on the back door is to stop the door smashing against the other door if you close the right hand door first
@@rm3designs tanks for bringing clarity!🫣 luckily it works for both purposes 😉
Nice review, thanks for posting this
Thanks 🙏

Yes, been driving fwd before so the AWD is the reason!

Does it have proximity key entry? In Australia with the this model you still have to use the buttons on the fob to lock and unlock.

You can pull the wipers up the window and then you can move them away
Move to Australia matey and get a Renault coz they have a chain cam belt!

Omg at first i thought Willem Dafoe makes this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No sir!
It is Norman osborn,
and if you are unlucky I will visit you as “the green goblin “🐲 somewhere around Halloween 😉
That's it it your first hate u can't lift wiper up. Jesus I then switched off
That’s the best with RUclips, you can choose something else whenever you want 😉
