Licensing. Wait, no -- research. The first thing to worry about is that City Hall won't come after you (assuming you own the place). Any time you even break a big hole into a wall it could be considered "construction" by City Hall, so first research what kind of home renovation licenses City Hall has and when they kick in. Well, I just spent 22 minutes 4 seconds getting sucked in to your video when I was supposed to be reupholstering some cushions but it was worth it. You sir have an AMAZING skill set. Just the wardrobe build itself was awesome.... the entire project, not just done but well done. Hats off to you.
Amazing restoration, hate that wood panelling with a passion
My parents still have that exact panelling in 90% of their house. Its horrible
@@taylora8703 I agree. and the floor color is shit too. I kinda got annoyed when he made it the same color again. but the rest amazing job. would look nice at my apartment too. :P
Whoever introduced wood panelling needs to have a talk with me....with my fists 😂
It made me feel a bit claustrophobic lol
I like wood paneling.
Excellent job on everything you've achieved in this master bedroom! The built-in closet area is so unique and functional. Great features. The paint color is very calming and clean looking. ❤👍
Thanks so much!
Very impressive workmanship. You should be very proud of yourself.
This was definitely a labor of love. Stunning work. Eco-responsible. Just beautiful. Reminded me of when I was younger watching my uncle/godfather work in his shop. Thank you for the memories!! God bless you and your new wife!
You’re such a PRO! This is by far the most relaxing and cool video I’ve seen in a while. Keep it up man 👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much!
Its nice to see someone do a job well done . keep it up the good work and i have a question how long did it take .?

Those built-ins are awesome! A $7,000 value-added, probably a bit more. New windows, energy efficient heat, new lighting, new insulation - and the floor! Older homes are known for small rooms and tiny closets. My home was built in 1967, apparently people had less stuff and few clothes. Beautiful work indeed!
And I thought when I painted my room ‘like a professional’, I had accomplished something major. That’s nothing compared to this. Fantastic job, sir.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Watching the wood paneling come down was so satisfying. Whoever is responsible for that paneling and ceiling combo should be jailed immediately.
Seriously 😐
the amount of love this guy must have for his wife. wow. amazing remodel
Right? I would've just painted the wood paneling and called it good.
The love for craftsmanship is the rewarding part. The wife is part of the journey.
That's one of the dumber comments I've read lately
I wish my husband could do this
@@rjsmiley89 why don't you wish you could do this?
He didn’t just install a wall unit, he built it. Not from a kit but from scratch. Uh-mazing.
My lower back pain flared up watching this 😩
🤣
And knees!
LOL.
I'm only 32 and my back is pretty much shot from being in the Army. I love working on my home but I can paint one door and my back will seize up. This video helped me realize I don't have to do it all. As skilled as he was, he had help.
Whole body pain flared up watching this
This guy literally built everything......this is amazing. I wish I had this talent.
Thanks for watching! Consider subscribing if you haven't already, Living Room Time Lapse is next! It is a huge project!
omg me too (*^▽^*)ths
Or at least a husband like him!!! 😅
This is what kind of husband I’ve been praying for 🙏🏽

A man with home remodeling skills - priceless.
if someday I need a home makeover, I swear I would call only you, and no one else. I love how you work, with patience and dedication and a lot of competence. Good job.
That is amazing to hear! Thanks so much, Dani!
AND a VERY CLEAN worker!
@@TheFixerHomeRepair are you a carpenter by trade?
Dang. I wish this guy was local!! We can't get any contractors to work like this. You are lucky if they show up and they rarely finish anything the way they said they would!! Beautiful work!!!
u can get contractors like this anywhere i am one of them the problem is people dont want to pay for this kind of quality :)
This is definitely a master piece, it turned out so beautiful. You have a great talent, the wood floors were gorgeous
Hi there! Off subject, but I’m a misplaced Tennessee girl! Grew up in west tn. One of my old license plates was 10AC GRL.
From outdated to increasing the value of the home. Lots and lots of work, but the end result is stunningly well done. Bravo. Wish I had seen this sooner.
Beautiful! I'd watch a video of you filling it with furniture and decor, too. :)
I should have done that! Maybe I will post a video with it all decorated. Thanks for watching!
Yes! Definitely decorate and fill with furniture!
Here you go! ruclips.net/video/sYnl8guS0ig/видео.html
your floors are beautiful! what a great restoration.
The floors were the hardest part honestly. I had never refinished them before and underestimated the time it would take to sand. I learned a lot and have a greater appreciation for the people who do it professionally. Thanks for the kind words and for watching!
@@TheFixerHomeRepair exactly! many remodeled room usually just throw away the old one but you manage to make it alive again~outstanding!
@@TheFixerHomeRepair does your other videos show how you restored the floor and what issues you ran into? Am just seen this 22 minute video and so far loving what you are doing. Hope the other videos have talking in them from you as you explain what you are doing. Great job.
If to do over, would you have finished the floor before putting the baseboard down?
Wow it takes a lot of work to remodel an old bedroom! Great work and very interesting to see the progress and all that hard work! Thank you so much for sharing!!
OMG! I love the floor, I know it was a ton of work but it looks so beautiful. I had fun watching this and trying to keep count of your different shirts, I failed. Gorgeous job.
The cleaning as you go?! Snaps, dude, I think I am inlove 😂
Haha! Thanks, Catty! And thanks for watching!
Did anybody notice how perfect he cut those circles in the ceilings for the lights?
You deserve every beer that appeared in this video. 🍻 amazing job!
You're a master at so many things ... How rare to be so neat and clean up as you go along and to leave no stone unturned! You should be very proud of your work. Awesome does not seem adequate.
he protecc
he attacc
but most importantly
he remodeled dat
What? Spelling and grammar problems
I'm a meme just like your grammar 😂

Me: *watches 1 video of a guy remodeling a room*
Also me: I have achieved the skills and knowledge of CARPENTER.
Me lmaoo
Just about ik how to frame and make some things you see in construction just from watching these types of videos
I felt this in my soul 😆😆😆🥳
That hurts my insides. WAAAAY too many homeowners watch ONE RUclips video and then try something cute. Then end up calling me to do it right. Just stop! You're gonna spend more having someone like me come and do it right because you'll be be paying (alot) extra for me to do it correctly after you already "fixed" it
@@83AirGuy same with car owners, just because RUclips shows them how to do it doesn't mean the have the ability and end up making it worse. I know how to perform a heart transplant from watching documentaries doesn't mean id have the ability
Outstanding! What a difference...you completely opened it up and made the room look bigger...updated and perfect choice in colors and detail. Your Hired!!!
You're*
Yes I'm that person xD
THANK YOU for restoring that BEE - U - TI - FUL wood floor. Wonderful Work all around.
Friends just remodeled their 'small' bedroom and used what looked like decorative pvc planking on the ceiling.
Looks fabulous and took less time and expense to install, eliminating much of the pain in the neck labor and time to fit, hold, screw, fill, patch, sand, prime and paint over your head.
Reminds me of the old-school country houses and log homes I've seen.
Watch a room go from 1971 to 2019 in TWENTY TWO MINUTES!
I was thinking the same exact thing!
Except no central air... window units are so old.
Watch it go from 1971 haunted house to 2019 haunted house lol
I don't typically like or comment on videos, but man... that was incredible to watch! Great job! And that floor turned out beautiful!! Really amazing work! I look forward to the next job. Probably more than you do... haha. Thanks for the video Sir.

As near perfect workmanship as can be viewed. A pleasure to watch. I love his style and use of systems. Thankyou for sharing this.
I can imagine all the smells right now. The mudding, the painting, wood cuting, and the wood stain. I still can't get the smell of the wood stain out of my head XD
Haha so many smells! Thanks for checking out the video Ellie!
Your wife is a very lucky gal!!! I’d give anything to have a “fixer” at my house 😉 Great job 👍🏼

We don't build with plaster and wood here, so it's always interesting to see builds that do. You guys did a great job! Good work 😁
what do you use? paper mache' and plastic water bottles? lol
@@realitycheck5383 Cement and bricks :P
@@JeandrePetzer Yup, same here👍But it is harder work to renovate the bricks and cement .
