Feels lighter because you have a lot less rotating mass in the front. Crank, cams, transmission gears, magneto, etc. Each pounds of rotating mass is like 4+ pounds of dead weight. Nice build looks fun to ride

Nice build..make sure to use oil in the gearbox , it sounds kinda loud ..
That motor can take 20kW peak..
You can easily hsve it do 2nd gesr power wheelies ..
I would suggest upgrading to ND72850 controller.

Very interesting point of being able to feel pebbles because of the lack of vibration ! That could save lives ! We're I live the area has been attacked for years by people with things like pebbles around the corners. I even arrested someone I caught red handed but the police let him go, I'm always looking for pebbles , I also feel with my feet. With A hub motor and no chain I can hear the pebbles. soft tire compound seems to help.

you are mentioning, that the bike feels lighter than it is, and you don't know why...
maybe the answer is that there are no rotating masses in the electric engines compared to gas engines.
(moving masses produce intertia forces that add weight. same principe like a "powerball" or "gyro ball")

    • @111jkjk
