I spoke with CNN's Jim Sciutto about what each candidate needs to do in the debate - and whether I think they actually will.

@@talesfromthequick Telling already disenfranchised voters that there are only 3 states that matter seems like a really excellent way for a large percentage of the electorate to simply give up and stay home on Election Day. It puts a hand on the scale in other competitive states. Frank is biasing the equation to a greater degree when he states that only 3 states matter. Remember what happened the 1st time Trump got elected. Droves stayed home because they felt Clinton would win.
@@LagoLhn and this is why we have the Electoral College. People in CA, TX, VT, have their way of life, which tends to be more at the political extremities, whereas Ohio, Florida, PA, and maybe VA, GA, plus a few others have sharper political divisions. I don’t like the EC system, but I can understand why we have it. For presidential elections, EC is understandable
