Be charismatic. Be a political outsider. Appear confident. Blame the establishment. Find one or more minorities to play the real villain. Tell them only you can protect them from the forces who want to take from them. Tell them every chance you get how their identity, their country, their race and their children are in danger. Pump them so full of fear that they will agree to anything to be protected by you. Never back down or apologize for anything.

I watched him live on air during 2016 election night - an hour before first results came in, he said Trump would be wiped out and Republicans would take years to recover.
Don't get me wrong, he is still a valid voice - just don't make the mistake of believing that he always has his finger on the pulse.
Frank Luntz got the 2016 election spectacularly wrong - I watched him on Katie Couric's results show, and his assessment of Trump's chances was way off mark.
Biden fans will be hoping he's overcompensating in Trump's favour on this occasion.

Yes, according to Luntz, Biden is so old he was at the last supper. Well then, I guess Trump would have been old enough too. Either one of them would be the oldest President to enter office so it's not as if there is a huge age gap. It needed to be more explicit that Luntz is a Republican.

He's one of the most influential pollsters in modern American history. I do believe his work helped propel republicans into the position they were in to oppose Obama and hold the enormous sway in local elections that they do.
