The only downside is the pain and suffering you have to go through to beat this game when you could save your time and money just watching it on RUclips.

@@robb0425 I played the entire series of Dragon age, I’ve played Baldurs Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Dark Souls series, both Horizon games, and many more so yes I can say the writing was absolutely garbage. There were few tidbits of good dialogue far in between and barely any choices that actually mattered in the game but other then those few good things everyone else was incredibly sub par that I can see why people were calling it a Pixar movie. It was such a disappointment

Why do I have to max out every faction merchant shop, do practically all the sidequests, and do all companion quests just to get the good ending? It's like the game punishes those of us who simply play for fun or the story.
If only you knew about the ending requirements and payoff for the original ME3 ending...Lol. This arguably feels worse tho because of how ass and boring this game is.

The bad guys never win in DA, not a single title where they win. The worst ending in DA:O was your character sacrificing themselves to stop the blight. The blight is still stopped though

Sadly games like baldurs gate raised that bar when it comes to rpgs and just because it was never like that in the series doesn't mean it can't be changed. There where also never any non binary people in dragon age, they also changed that. It used to be a semi tactical game involving strategy and planning, they changed that. There was no reason that they couldn't have changed this It also doesn't change the fact that the end screen is just a few lines of text and a fade to black = credits That's rather low effort
@ the premise of BioWare games is that subsequent games will reflect choices made in previous games (to a certain extent, BioWare has dropped the ball on that before) but the bad guys winning in this case would either men the gods successfully blighting the world or solas tearing down the veil and the world being mostly destroyed in the chaos, no I’m not saying there will be a sequel title after this one because that depends on the success of this game, but they need to leave the door open for the possibility which means the world gets saved one way or another. BG3 was an independent title with no sequels or continuation of narratives planned so those devs were free to end the game however they wanted.

The devs don’t have the time or resources for such a big outcome difference. BG3 did have that outcome difference but it also didn’t need to worry about subsequent titles so the players could end the game however they wanted because the devs didn’t need to worry about continuity to another title.

For a bad ending that was.... pretty soft. I mean the final betrayal bit went hard but the rest felt like idk... cheap theater? Like a stage play where the actors have rights, and not people genuinely dying in a final struggle.
Honestly, this is the first ending I’ve got and it seems to be the best out of all the others I’ve heard of. Felt pretty satisfying and meaningful for a game that sucks pretty bad.
This is the best ending. I enjoy building my companions up and then if at all possible betraying them. It's funny watching those looks of loyalty turn into looks of confusion as you stab them in the back and laugh over their corpses.
