"I want to be a journalist" yet I am shy to say it in English. Pijin hem toktok blo street ia, sapos Solo like developem economy people must rausim desfala shame for toktok English and start for firem English especially time interview for overseas audience long RUclips. As a former school teacher in Solomon Islands I know that every child learns English to conversational standard but social and peer pressure discourages them from speaking it. Solomon Islanders laugh at each other when they speak English - this attitude must stop.

Exactly you are right about that. What I found out about our people in the Solomon Islands is that, when someone's tried to speak English, they'll just teasing that person, like what the heck, dude it's not our foreign language like what you've been expected to be fluently in English, that just freaking drive me crazy!

@@amikahkay5712 you're right. I think its kind of a attitude that most Solomon Islands populations are been and being burden with. Like they knew how to speak in english but they were ashamed of being teased by their other mates regarding errors. However, hope this kind of mentality will change in the future starting from now.

Hey Chinese guy, now feeling so confident that you can call people names.
You need to know that... "The Northern Chino-Africans were called Kui-shuang (Kushana) or Yueh-chih, while the southern tribes were called Yi and li-man Yueh and Man."
