- @tuningbynick Finally got the EK Civic to Cooperate enough to get it into the 400HP Club!! This has been one long and annoying process, but the K Swapped Civic is finally making power and we can say we did it!
Also Shoutout to valved exhaust for giving us the ability to drive around silently but still make the big numbers! Check them out!

I just scored on a 2000 civic do, has 125k original miles, it’s manual now it’s a sedan but it’s in great condition and I got it for $700 and it runs fine but it’s was $700 because a ball joint broke and broke the axle when he was going to leave a parking lot

My k24 is pushing 450 wheel on a 2.5 inch exhaust and 10psi. It makes almost 800 on e85

I have a question… did you put your BOV on the exhaust side of your charge pipe or intake side and does it matter? I’m in the middle of my K24 swap turbo build and I’m not sure if it matters or not. Thanks!
You should always put it before your intercooler if you can, that way your not unnecessarily heat soaking your intercooler with air that’s just going to go out the BOV.

Could you do a price breakdown once this phase is done with it? I want a project like this but I would like to know what I’m getting into
$10-12k. 3k for a junkyard motor, 1-2k for a full rebuild/pistons/rods/valvespring retainers/head work/machining(this can get expensive), 2k for harness /ecu and mounts/sensors/peripherals and shit, 1k for exhaust, 3-4k for a turbo set up(turbo,intercooler,injectors,piping,fuel pump,bov,wastegate,boost controller)
Aaand thays just for parts. Keep in mind if you'll need tools or to pay a mechanic and tuning sessions cost like $1k an hour..

@@bluzh nah. 3k with trans for a good motor is a good price. Prices have gone up. 3 k is the low ends for the right motor not no came out of a crv bullshit. And an Rsx head is gonna run you 700 bucks by its self
@@bluzh and dynamic tuning doesn't cost 100 and hour. More like 500-1000 to get something tuned. But hondata you can usually get a e tune or find someone local that may or may not know what they are doing to street tune it. But any reputable shop is going to charge close to 1000 to do a tune
@@bluzh but.... even still you get the motor for 800. No trans and a sketchy 100 dollar tune its still over 10k to do it right. Well over 6 k if you do it junky. But I'd still have twice that just incase. I'd say have 15k to start with because you never know. I also recommend a upgraded throttle body and but atleast 2 throttle position sensors. Since k series love to smoke tps sensors

The Jeep could easily tow that though?? Surely the civic and the trailer can’t be more than 2.5 tonnes. It probably wouldn’t be a race car towing that much but like you still could ig. Although that number (2495kg, ~5500lbs) is in Australia which I have heard it is less in the americas
I just know I’ve seen plenty of vids of things flying into the turbo and it scares me seeing you without a filter over that thing ☹️

Don’t change anything take the exhaust off and run it on the dyno again you will pick up 50hp easy these motors need to breathe
