I have been taught to close up a seam by picking up the outside loop 🔂 on both sides, going left to right, then right to left. It makes a seamless sew in.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I made my first crochet cap for my baby seeing this ideo. And I am brand new to crochet. I loved every detail you showed and it helped me make one beautiful cap for my little one.
I LOVE this pattern! I need to return the regular velvet I bought & get some of the baby velvet, I didn't realize they weren't all easy to wash. I'm going to make several for family!
Thank you for sharing All your Beautiful Designs of Baby Blankets and Hats. I Love them so much! I've Gifted two Blankets sets so far and the receiving Parents Really Adored them. ❤💙❤💙
These are so ooooooo cute! I've made several of them and they are a big bit every time! So soft and darling. I've also used Yarn Bee -Foever Plush. It's also cute to square it off instead of gathering and place pom poms on the corners for a different look. Anyway you look at it it's adorable, easy and fun to make!
Hello there! Beautiful hat! The written instructions say to chain an even number, but further down it gives instructions to chain odd numbers for certain sizes. Can you help me with that? Which should I do? Thank you.
hey! all i have is the regular velvet. could i just use that, or would i need to modify the pattern or try to buy baby velvet? Im trying to find a pattern that uses the regular velvet to make a hat for my mom for christmas, since i cant return the velvet i already have and im a broke teenager :P
Personally, I believe one could use most any yarn depending on the personal tolerance to the yarn type. With a smaller diameter yarn one might want to consider using a thermal stitch in my opinion.
It is simply elegant and not difficult for me with 50 years of crochet with worsted yarns. I LOVE the newest yarns! Thanks!

You can use the regular velvet. I have & it was fine. It is washable. Just put it in a lingerie bag & wash on gentle. Dry on low heat or air dry.
What other yarns could be used to make this hat?
