I didn't have a bamboo sushi mat for a long time but I have these same sized silicone mats for sitting pots on. They work really well for rolling sushi too if you can't get the bamboo mats in your area. My kiddos got them at walmart. My family bought me a sushi rolling mat last year tho with all these little forms to make musubi and onigri too. They like that we can make it at home with stuff they like to eat. Lol.
