I’ve never seen a more wholesome fisherman in my life. You can literally catch a 4 inch bluegill and catch a 15 pound channel catfish and still have the same level of excitement. And that’s so pure, that’s what fishing is about !

Was fishing today with my 5 year old son and ever time he had one on his reel he would automatically say "Fish On!" And then when we caught one he put them back in the water saying "See you later buddy!" This what happens when you have a child that likes your videos lol

I love spillway fishing. I have been fishing them since the early 80's. I have caught some very nice size fish, and almost a record walleye, it was 2 pounds under the state record. People back then thought I was crazy. Go figure
A lot of people, seeing those snakes, would attempt to kill them. Thank you for letting them, do thier thing and leave. Unless you are being attacked, there is absolutely no sense in killing them

We call them "grinnel" down here. I like to reel one in...they fight like devils. But taking him off the hook ain't nobody'd idea of fun,,,they have teeth like a shark,
@@kennethpepper4967 Down here in Florida we call them mudfish. If we are crappie fishing and catch a mudfish we move at least a 1/4 mile away. There's never only one mudfish in an area.

You have motivated me to clean up my ultra light rods and try some bank fishing. I've been doing inshore fishing for the last several years and it may be time to do some more freshwater fishing. I forgot the simplicity and joy of catching pan fish.
Great fun, as always! That was a great bowfin for such a little creek. I had a rod that belonged to a deceased friend and I broke the tip off. But because it had sentimental value I still fish with it 30 years later.
5:29 that just happened to me the other day i bought a brand new rod never used and some idiot guy in the car next to me closed my door he had a whole empty parking space between the to of use and knowbody was trying to pull next to me so he couldn't lie talking about he didn't have enough room it seriously ticked me off because i was looking in my trunk for my tackle bag and for some odd reason he felt like he needed to come close the door to my car that i had my rod placed up against and it snapped the rod in two places i was like why the fuh would you come over and close my door while im standing there by my car it irritated the mess out of me.
When I was a kid my uncle slammed the trunk three times on my dad's Fenwick before it finally broke. Dad wrote to Fenwick and they sent him a replacement. 👍
Hey nick there’s a really great spillway that feeds out of lake Bloomington in Illinois that I caught tons of crappie in, but I’ve also seen big stripers and catfish in the area. Really good spot if you’re ever in the area!
Been really slow fishing here in southern Indiana.. just went last night got a couple of line rips but that was it...but that's ok cause i got 618 fishing😎💪😎 thanks nick for feeding my addiction when I cant🎣
