I was actually looking around today for a concealed carry. Had my mind on a glock43x or a smith wess shield+ then i saw the fn reflex and thought ok "what does that one guy on youtube (hickok) think about it"

I bought mine on gunbroker last week. Took it out over the weekend and absolutely loved it. The stippling is perfect and doesn’t move at all in your hand.
The trigger is also wayyyy better compared to my 509C; much more crisp and light. I chose this over the 365 for my edc and no regrets so far!
you made the right choice. that 365 rusts so fast.
@@ralphhardyman1148 Hymm. I have had my 365 for 4 years and it does not have a spec of rust. Any gun will rust if you do not store it properly either or maintain it properly.

Picked up my reflex 2 months ago and i absolutely love it. Paired it with a sticky holster and im extremely happy with both. If Hickok approves, i know i made a great choice

I've had 3 Reflexes (Long story) and all of them had problems. I bought it to replace my G43. I love the FN grip, I love the sights, and the trigger is pretty good from the factory. All of them had failure to feed problems. One would have a soft strike about every 3rd round. We tried 5 different types of ammo and 9 different magazines. We put about 200 rounds through each gun. All of them would shoot low left no matter who was shooting it. I put Holosun 507k red dots on 2 of them and I had the elevation up maxed out and it still wouldn't bring the POI up to POA. I put a laser bore sight cartridge in them and it would not line up with the iron sights. It showed low left on all of them. The same laser bore sight lined up perfectly in all of my other handguns. I sold 2 of them and the 3rd one has been at FN since September for repair, in hopes that I can at least have one good one. That was 3 months ago and it's still not fixed.

I’ve had similar issues with an FNX. I’m no pro, but it’s the only pistol I’ve ever shot that is sighted that low and away.
I’m tempted to bench test it against a 4x8 sheet of plywood.
Thanks for the heads-up. I've been looking into one of the many high cap micros...this input from you opened my eyes. My FN 5.7 has never failed, and I was hoping the REFLEX was as reliable.

You appear to absolutely have fallen with a new micro 9mm FN. I'll have to order one, but have the cut out for a red dot with my FN REFLEX. I've been reading and watching videos on them, and because of you and your video, I'll order it. Thank you for helping me make up my mind.
Had I not fell in love with my G43X this was next in line. Took them a while but I think they did a great job with this pistol.
You’d have to pry my 43X out of my cold dead hands. Especially with the Shield Arms 15 round mags (don’t forget the steel mag catch), it’s a near perfect platform.
@@jlink38Seen reliability issues out of those mags. Will only ever run OEM in my stuff. 11 rounds can get it done need more bullets carry an extra mag.
Psa micro mags work in 43x and you use the oem mag catch. Might be worth research if you don't like shield arms.

Long, long time fan. Thanks for your continued level-headed content and also superior dad humor! I had shopped around a lot back when I first started shooting. Carried a Kahr P9 of all things for a lot of years. I have smaller hands. Single stack, felt good, shot it well both hands. Was never a Glock fan really but figured I should try a few. Shot the Glock 26. Despite my pinky hanging low, shot that fatty also very well. Got to know the G 19, 17 and appreciated the magazine interchangeability. Decided to carry the G26 and that has been for a few years now. I realize these new innovative stack-and-a-half pocket pistols with extra capacity are nice. I am sure they are great. But my interest to change has diminished with age and experience. I shoot just fine. God willing, I’m not in a gun fight where 11 round capacity with 15 or 17 round reload isn’t good enough but I get it, why not right? Help me out Hickock, please! Should I go run through all these new micro 9’s and find a reason to change?

I noticed that you had to reset the magazine a couple of times. That usually means that the mag release is in the wrong place.
Why do you think so many are reporting accuracy issues where it is shooting low and left even when placed in a vice or a rest? The shot placement here seems so accurate and unlike those other reviews.
Love my Reflex! At 500 rounds and reliable as any Glock I’ve had! It’s not missed a beat and checked my sights on paper and but everything was in the very middle, a few in the bullseye, so my sights are great dunno why others are having so much trouble!?

Went and bought an xds mod 2. Then a week later they released the hellcat.. i managed to talk myself out of it, and the 365 came out.. thankfully the issues with it helped me hold my horses... the taurus released the gx4 and i alllllmost got it. It was cheap , cool looking and gad the same capacity... then they had a recall.
I managed to save my money and keep rocking with my old faithful xds...
Now this is here and i dont think ill be able to hold myself.. this one is just speaking to me too hard. Thanks hickock for costing me another 5 or 600 bucks 😢😢
I just bought one of these a day ago.. I regret it now.. same problems as lots of other reviewers. This gun has factory sight problems. IT DOES SHOOT LOW LEFT !! I’m saying this as an experienced shooter. Maybe there are a few out there that come out of the box ready to go, but I made the mistake of not doing more research 😢
HK definitely wins out for the most absurd mags put in a box, this FN is a close second.

Walther PPS M2 LE came with three different magazines and two sizes of modules.
@@phantomspaceman Was that the one that preceded PPQs? never mind looks like a compact PPQ. I think P99 was the original and then PPQ then the gross want to be a glock, PDP.
Bought first one to hit my gun store. 200 rounds so far and great shooter. Great pocket carry pistol

The basics of sight picture & trigger control are the same no matter which gun one is shooting....
Just bought it. Love it. Comfortable to conceal and feels great in my hands.

@@contractor556 Sold it after a single drop onto pavement at outdoor range damaged frame pretty badly lmfao. That kinda shunned me away, trigger and everything else was amazing coming from a Glock, but I’ve put them through much worse and only damaged factory sights, after that nothing. They need to up the par on there polymer strength especially cause they market them as military quality as well.

I've heard a lot of good things about the IWI Masada Slim and I'm hoping you'll do a video at some point. I know it has a bit longer grip like the Glock 43x, so maybe it doesn't qualify as a "micro 9" or pocket pistol, but it still seems like an ideal size for EDC. Good capacity, less snappy, and accurate & reliable according to a lot of reviews. Would like to hear your impressions & comparisons to other brands & models. Thank you sir! 👍
My dad has the Masada Slim and swears by it! He says it is extremely accurate and very comfortable for daily carry. Hickok did a video on the Masada sometime ago. You'd probably need to search for it.
I love my Masada S, but after 1500 or so rounds the recoil spring/guide rod assembly came apart. Really weird failure. IWI has replaced it, but it's going to be a while before I trust this pistol again. Still, great little gun in terms of ergonomics, concealability, and shootability.
I would take the Masada over the Reflex any day of the week and twice on Sunday... and it's cheaper..... win win. My Relfex had sight issues from the factory.... sent it back to FN and got it back.... still does the same thing.

His muzzle discipline is impeccable.
The inside of the FN Reflex looks very similar to my S&W 9mm EZ. Both are hammer fired. The trigger on the EZ is nice as well.

Handled the Reflex today and some dry fires, trigger very light and feels very similar to the Glock Performance Trigger.

I wish someone would make a normal external hammer in a "micro-9" with a good trigger. The H&K P30SK would be there if the trigger lived up to the price tag.

I like it I just can’t get used the limited range, but as he said it’s me I just don’t have time to practice with it I spend all my time practice with my 509 that carry all the time. But it is a little bad ass.😊

Love your reviews. Reflex feels great, seems very well made but for me the trigger is to light for a carry gun. I’ll stick with the Hellcat,365 or 43X.
Ever shot a bersa bp9cc. Talk about a light trigger. 3.2 lbs . Never carried it. Fun at the range though.

Got mine (not optic cut) this week and shall be carrying it with Speer New G2 Gold Dot Carry Gun Ammo 9mm 135-grain HP for self defense. I shall be using less expensive FMJ 115 grain ammo and other frangible ammo for target shooting and training.
I picked one up a couple months ago as I was wanting a new EDC. I have a holster from muddy river tactical with an ulticlip instead of a regular belt clip. I carry this thing everywhere while wearing athletic shorts and a tank top and it's unnoticeable. Also a dream to shoot (for a micro9 of course)

@@Liam-hs2ne Not really, maybe a little bit loose in the shirt. For frame of reference I'm 5'11" 225lb fairly muscular build and in a size large lululemon running short and size x-large nike dri-fit shirt it's fairly unnoticeable. Only prints in certain body positions but very rare.

Shoots left 2.5 inches and 3.5 down. On the range. That’s between 2 real shooters. The sites where lined up properly to slide. Worked 100%. Trigger had almost a double tap 1 or 2 rounds per 11 or 15. Leading to flyers. Good pistol. Haven’t figured out what going on with sites

On the subject of the alabama holsters I've gotten 3 cargo pocket holsters recently and all have been great with very good turn around time.

I noted when you put the 15 rd mag in you hit it in your palm 3x's. I haven't noted you doing the same with a Glock. Is there an issue that makes it feel unsecured when using the 15 rd mag?
