I would recommend popping down to the lore theories in the official discord sometime.
The old isle lore goes crazy as hell mostly the hypo concept and human hybrids/monster stuff it could have made the isle a whole different game rather that just a dinosaur survival game

Majority of people dont play this game for the lore, heck most probably dont even know theres lore to this game... so what would they add to the game by being playable creatures? The gameplay would still just be 'survive to adulthood and then kill things'.... What exactly do they wish to tell, what do they wish to express with lore for a sandbox survival video game about dinosaurs that also tries to be realistic? This game might as well be considered a live service at this point

The acension void worm soundtrack from yet again Rainworld is pretty fitting for the Thalassophonea stage starting at 12:34 Though those things are a whole another level of weird
That's a cool idea for a fictional creature that keeps mutating and evolving, but my main criticisms are 1: there could be an additional transitional stage between the Raptor-like phase and the Rex-like phase since that is a massive leap and 2: the Rex-like stage could use some more aquatic features considering what it's supposed to turn into. It kinda just looks like a slightly more extra Rex. What I think would be pretty cool for the game is a creature that starts out small and useless but can grow and change based on what it eats. You eat a lot of thereopods, you turn into something like a theropod on steroids, you eat a lot of semi-aquatic creatures, you turn into a croc-freak, you eat a lot of ceratopsians, you grow into some minotaur looking thing. Alas, the game is probably never gonna get to that level of development, but it's fun to speculate and think about.
It has been mentioned by one comment before but RAINWORLD METROPOLIS THREAT MUSIC AT 5:25 That conjures an Intresting image considering Rainworld being bioengineered to hell and back and specifically Artificer’s campaign is well, explosive
I think Isle would have absolutely dominated the steam charts had it been a single player horror game that leaned heavily on environmental storytelling. There are no games like it, and with the talent of Afterthought's artistic team, it would look & feel incredible. Cool video FYI, would be neat to see more like these.

This is an amazing concept, truly. The only issue I see with it is the fact that it completely ignores the third faction of the game. We'll often forget how the ecosystem, and the mercs are not the only playables, but there will be tribal humans. What the fuck is the tribe gonna do, when a stage 4-5 gonna pull up on them? I am not much worried about stage six, cause we know fully well that there's going to be a seperate ecosystem in the waters. A slowly deteriorating Matriarch that is slow mowing, constantly looses hp, and I assume leads a lot of tracks cause of it's open wounds, should be a feasible prey for a a number of musasaurs, or even aquatic-specified Spinosaur players. But stage 4-5 seems unkillable with what we know of tribal humans, giving them a cosntant risk of being kicked down to 0 any time a player succesfully starts their playtrough as a matriarch.
Would be interesting to tie becoming a matriarch behind several human quests. And maybe make those quests random so not everyone just beelines the fastest route to getting a matriarch.
I think instead of "set" evolutions. The player can kinda choose what it evolves into. Where like before it evolves a screen pops up and you can choose what aspects of each dino you want that you ate. I think this would be a good idea to replace the diet in evirma. And instead each slot its replaced by a dinosaur you ate!
Please do more videos covering topics like these, like the other types of straind or the horrific creatures like the reaper or the mastermind. Maybe there are things that are not meant to be discovered and i would like to see those too. Great video❤
Itd be cool if type h and other hybrids , including matriarch ( if included ) have something to do with humans . Like if there are quests for humans and they complete them ( like gather dna from these species on the island and deliver it to the lab or something ) then the hybrids become available for the first player that is going to choose an animal And after that there can be a second quest for humans to track and kill the creature they have released And there should also be a cooldown like once a month or a week such thing can happen if the requirements are fulfilled.
I think this should become a game like the isle story mode were you play as a mercenary and your mission is to hunt and capture the matriarch from evolving while the normal dinosaurs are obstacles for you as a challenge and the dinosaurs that actually hunted humans like utah,carno,cerato,and Even megalania to make it more unique,and the final battle would be like ships firing harpoons at the matriarch in its sixth form in the ocean to give that Subnautica like vibe to make it a horror game once more and that would be an awesome gameplay.

Already the hypos dinosaurs are too strong, including other creatures that are like the hypos. It’s just gonna ruin everything that’s about the dinosaur survival aspect because everyone will try to play as these weird monsters and kill everything with one bite
I'm sure it will be hard to obtain, they'll be something akin to a natural disaster very dangerous but rare or almost like a cryptid of the island something you only have sightings of. Also I think hypo will be the only op strain, the others look very frail but have special abilities.

If the strains coming into the game one point in the development then possible anyone whom likes th current dinosaur survival with normal creatures will be harassed by these monsters so at night it will be truly a horror. Also tribals, mutants, humans once added and fully customizable the game will change another degree. Probably one community and official servers all kind of things will be available also if you just want a regular dino survival you can. I am not really into the games lore however simply because when I played legacy years ago I only played a little bit with the game only for the dino survival feeling then few years later when evrima started I came back but I am not plays the game daily. Despite this the lore is interesting and it combines some genre within. If the game is developed by a much larger team with higher budget probably this game would be much more popular but the game will not pass AA size. Playing as a small herbivore and suddenly see a monster like this with the new nightvision which will come to the game sooner that could be a terrific experience. Considering these strains will see much better at night than the regular dinos.

a stage 4-5 matriarch will prob only happen once a full moon plus if a tribal stumbles upon a mass it can alert the other tribals its time to leave
