  • Located outside of the nation's capital, Six Flags America is an amusement park located in Bowie, Maryland. This park has garnered a less favorable reputation compared to other Six Flags parks, but is it truly as bad as it seems? Find out what I think of Six Flags America in my most recent vlog!

We went on a Saturday in June, and same thing. The park was empty. Although it was 90 degrees, so every one was probably in the water park. There were only station waits on coasters, except Raging Cajun. The energy was very chill and calm. Honestly a little unnerving and sad because it reminded me of Geauga Lake before it closed. Definitely a decent local park and add on to trip. Not a destination on its own.
Superman is the star of that park. Only Darien Lake has the same ride, and is way closer to me in Cleveland. Batwing was my brother's favorite, but I don't like it. I didn't feel secure, so no thanks. Joker's Jinx was good, but I like the darkness and alien theme of Flight of Fear. Ragin Cajun is also good, but Exterminator does it better. Wild One can use some work, but I enjoyed it. It also reminded me of Geauga Lake's Big Dipper in how it runs through the park. So classic. The kiddie coaster has great theming, but it's literally the same layout as a bunch of other parks.
Roar is really bad. Not as bad as Hershey's Wildcat before RMC, but bad. Perfect candidate for RMC. Gotta say Titan Track is not wood, and if they redo the layout with it it's not a wooden coaster anymore. It'll be a hybrid like the RMCs and Arrow mine trains. They can totally do it, but don't count it as wood then.

I think if they had another good coaster more people would come out there

Last time I was here 5 years ago, I thought both Roar and Wild One were quite good and underrated in my opinion. Superman was great and it was good to get on an intamin 2nd gen drop tower similar to Pitt Fall again. Other than those rides, there is nothing really redeeming at this park.

Totally agree, although I love Batwing. I would say that’s my number 1 in the park.

People hate Nighthawk because 1) it ends in corkscrews, not the rolls that Batwing has and Firehawk had. And
    2) Nighthawk has BY FAR the worst operations ever. The line is always an hour plus because ops are SOOOOOO slow. Carowinds is a great park, but they fail here.
