- In today's video I check into Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort but more specifically the beachside tower which is one of the two new towers that overlook Volcano Bay. I give you a full updated room tour of our Volcano Bay view standard room and a tour around the two Cabana Bay towers and around the resort such as the two massive pools, all of the food options, bus transportation, Starbucks, the main lobby, the gift shop, all of the resort amenities, the walking path over to Volcano Bay and more. This hotel offers a retro-style with rooms and suites brilliantly designed for fun and affordability. Relax with a splash, surrounded by amazing iconic architecture inspired by classic Florida beach resorts of the 1950s and 60s. Plus a winding river and a bowling alley. Oh my gosh so glad you mentioned the noise EARLY from the waterpark ! I love Cabana Bay and the volcano view rooms have a great view but when you're staying out late you don't want to be woken up at 7am. I'm a heavy sleeper and it woke me up!
We stayed in the Americana bldg which is not as close as the towers and we still heard the drums from volcano bay.. mornings were rough lol

We took a family vacay here a few years ago and the kids loved it!!! The walk to Volcano Bay is nice!!!! They also loved in house bowling alley!!!! They are very affordable! Not like the other guys(Disney) “Value”, these are actually priced well!!!!

We’ve stayed here a few times and we absolutely love it! The staff is always amazing and we just love the amenities! The price is never that bad as well, especially off season. We also love the walk to universal by the water! It’s a great place to stay for HHN 👻 Ty for the tour! I loved seeing it again!

I just made reservations for mid-June; this place is totally awesome. We had so much fun in May of last year it was a no brainer on where to stay. You are staying in just about the same room we were in in May!

My family stayed here on our last trip we loved the proximity to volcano bay. My son loved the retro vibes I didn't really like the aesthetic, but the soaps brought me back to my 80's childhood and that was fun. My fam uses the cups for water but we don't make coffee.

Great vlog, to answer your coffee question, we love our in room coffee maker, use them everyday.
I love Cabana Bay too! I'd say that's my go-to for Universal since it's usually very reasonably priced, lots of great amenities, great for my daughter, walking path to the secret security entrance to the parks 😀 we've stayed there more than any other Universal resort and it checks A LOT of our boxes!
I love this hotel it’s usually 3 or 4 of us and we get the joining rooms or the 2 suites . They do a great Job here 👍 universal

We don't drink coffee but I (Ann Marie not Tim) made coffee for my mom once at a hotel. Apparently I did a horrible job, her face said it all.😁

I love staying at Cabana Bay I stayed there 6 years ago and I really enjoyed it I want to go back and I want to stay there again
we just stayed here before and after a cruise. the beds were so soft. we used the coffee pot for hot water for instant oat meal. its my favorite hotel
I have only been able to stay at Cabana Bay twice and so love it!!! We now stay at Dockside due to the suite rooms. But, Cabana Bay is great due to you can also walk to Sapphire Falls and ride the boat in or it is a beautiful walk over to the park too.

Just came back from 3 nights & 4 days @ Cabana Bay. Stayed in Beachside Building 10th floor with Volcano Bay View. Family & I enjoyed it & was worth getting Volcano Bay View.
I stayed in that EXACT room in December. Super cool to see the exact room again

We use always the coffeemachine in the room 😊 No morning with rope drop without coffee 😅😅😅 Or just grab some Voodoo doughnuts and enjoy them with a nice cup of coffee relaxing on the bed 😉😊 It is also much cheaper than a black Coffee at Starbucks...😅🤷♀️😉
I love that resort hotel. It's more nostalgic and emotional despite not having the pedigree of the ritzy Royal and Portofino hotels. The food is exceptional from the Bay Liner specially if they're not feeding armies of schools. I'd book whenever the school is on.

We always use the coffee maker. For that morning cup on the balcony. One of our favorite parts of our Disney hotel days.
I love Cabana Bay Beach Resort. I’ve stayed there about 4 out of 5 of my family’s on site Universal vacations (we stayed at Lowes Royal Pacific on our last trip). I love the 2 pools, views, rooms, food court, amenities, convenient walk way path and entrance to Volcano Bay. The staff are always super nice and helpful. We get the refillable cups for the entire stay every time, it’s definitely worth the money. The gym is awesome. FYI, You can only hear the Volcano Bay bell and music in the two towers next to it btw not in the other rooms
My GF always uses the coffee machines when were on vacation!
We always use coffee pot. I liked endless summer resort for families because it has a microwave and sink. That is everything when you kids want mac and cheese

I love this resort! You're right about the colors Dev, they are beautiful. We got stuck in Florida in 2018 due to weather and we couldn't get another flight for 3 days. The resort was able to accommodate us and we had the best time. Love the theme and all the activities available especially the bowling! Yes, we do use the coffee maker.
We don’t drink coffee often at home, but I do use the hotel one if I need a wake-me-up.
My girlfriend and I are excited to be going to this resort next year so we can have easy access to Volcano 🌋 bay!!

Stayed there once and probably never again. The atmosphere was great along with the wave pool but the beds werent that comfortable and the walls were thin. Heard a couple go at it around 2 a.m. Safe to say we couldnt go back to sleep. Thank god my 3 year old is a heavy sleeper.
We stayed there I really enjoyed it. My family and I went blowing. We have had View of the park My mother use it . Pool is cool too….
I’m seriously thinking about this resort for our next Orlando vacation we loved Port Orleans and Disney but I keep thinking we should try Universal because my daughter loves Minions. My friend she stayed here with her older kids and loved it!!!
I absolutely use the coffee machine :) There's no getting to the lobby for coffee without coffee.

You can’t beat the price especially for Florida residents! Definitely do a staycation, those are the best!

The only hotel I ever stayed at was Hard Rock and it was so expensive... I've been wanting to check out these value universal hotels, maybe this year...
I use the coffee makers. I bring oatmeal packets for breakfast sometimes and hot chocolate packets. I sometimes use their coffee too.

when you check in and have bought the volcano view room, can you choose to pick the Bayside tower?
First time ever using a coffee maker in a hotel this weekend at cabana bay. Luckily it was with a new coffee maker because the one in the room did not work.
We love staying here in the tower pool view. We normally get the 10th or 11th floor of building 8. (Beachside)
You just can’t bet the value for this resort. Especially if you have the annual pass and get a discount.
We use the coffee maker. For one to heat up water so we can have our lemon water in the morning.
I guess now we are going to have to get a volcano bay view next trip.
The garden walk is a nice amenity for this resort as well usually takes us 15-17 minutes to walk to the park.
My one COMPLAINT is the smoking sections. I shouldn’t have to walk through three smoking sections to get to the main lobby. The one right outside the front door of the Beachside building is just unnecessary. They have a parking garage that they can put the smoking section in. Still close to the rooms and sheltered from the weather. More importantly out of the way from the main path
Those are all really great points Josh! I would definitely recommend the higher floors for the views. Yeah you can’t beat the value with the discounts for Florida residents and AP holders.
It does look like such a cool place, but I've been really spoiled staying at the other resorts where I get the free Unlimited express passes!

I had such a bad experience at Cabana Bay in March. Room didn’t get cleaned 4 nights in a row! Staff wasn’t apologetic..
