- We stayed at Universal's Cabana Bay because it's one of our favorite value resorts. It does have some minor cons and some good pros to staying here.
We love the lazy river, the vibe and how close it is to Volcano Bay!

I love Cabana Bay Bay! It’s the nostalgia feel you get. The ten to fifteen minute walk to the parks is a plus! I like Bayliner Diner’s breakfast. I wasn’t a fan of the lunch and dinner options. The pizza at the McDonald’s was much better. I did love the classic commercials though. I agree the beds were not the best. I slept on the sofa; not the sleeper. We did bowl for a bit. I would stay there again. 😊
Definitely a lot of fun reasons to stay there :) Glad you enjoyed it too! Ya, the food is just OK and it could have better beds. I let it slide because you can really get a great price there. We still love it too!
Cabana Bay was the first theme park resort we've ever stayed at. It just seems like it's the most family friendly and it reminds me of 'The Jetsons" lol! The Volcano Bay view is out of this world; I was tickled when I heard the music at night. I'm surprised they don't have nighttime events at Volcano Bay because it's so pretty. I felt like the food at Dockside was better but the options at CB were okay (I enjoyed the deli sandwiches the most). Still haven't made it to the Milkshake spot 😔. My only con was the long walk from my room to the lobby/store/cafeteria lol; it's a workout for sure.
Ya, the long walk can be a pain after a very long day 🤣 yessss the volcano bay view is gorgeous. I wish they had night events there too! I agree, the food is just OK. Could be better.

Hi, how long is the walk from the Volcano Bay view room to Volcano Bay? Debating if its worth it or not. The room looks very small also.. thanks!
@@LeeeB0 they have bigger rooms that aren't volcano view, but I just love this view. 😊 the walk is 5-7 minutes tops. It's not far at all.
Im trying to decide between Aventura or Cabana Bay with my son. Which one of these do you recommend with kids? I like the amenities at Cabana Bay but Im worried it will be too noisy.
We have covered Aventura too but it's not really that exciting for kids. It is more quiet, but the pool is basic. You can however pool hop to Cabana Bay if you prefer to stay somewhere more quiet. The hotels are next to each other. But the feel at Cabana Bay is more fun with the ice cream shop, bowling, arcade and lazy river.
