Enjoyed your video ive ridden 2strokes all my life just switched to a 4stroke last year at first I stalled mine more times than I could count I came off a Husqvarna te300 with a recluse clutch to a 2022 Husqvarna FX350 4stroke I tried gearing it down made hill climbs easier but the bike just wire me out I just recently went back to the stock gearing started riding in map 2 my stalling problem went away I love my 4stroke but I don't ride technical trails anymore im 61 the recluse taught me bad habits but there nice ive thought on putting one on this but im satisfied with it the way it is after reading these comments I definitely not putting a stealy fly weight on mine thank you for being honest you might want to try a recluse for the type of riding your doing or try map 2
That's a really good question. Unfortunately I didn't really pay attention to that aspect when I was testing it, and now I've ridden it enough that I don't really notice anything different at all anymore. The basic physics of it would say that it would have to soften up the engine braking a bit, but it didn't stand out to me on the trails. I haven't taken it to a motocross track yet this year, and that's probably going to be the place I would notice it most. So now I'm inspired to do that.
Thank for the heads up and follow up. I was seriously gonna get a flywheel weight and have them install it. Maybe not now. I gotta 350 sxf and I get flame out at low rpm. I know the sxf isn’t a trail bike. I was gonna get a KLX 300, but I have a truck and clean KTM. Has anybody put an EJK tuner on their bikes and got more bottom power?
Would you say the weight took some of the initial bottom hit? I am looking to equip a 450 with this, see if it improves stalling and takes away of the initial torque. Thanks!
Being as my bike is a 250, it never did have any initial bottom hit. What I found was that it did smooth things out a bit on the bottom end, and allowed me to lug it a bit more. But I would recommend watching the update video. I followed all the installation instructions to the letter, and after 7 months the epoxy failed and turned into into chunks in my oil. Steahly said there's nothing wrong with their product and I must have installed it wrong. Since then, I have heard from other that had the same issue.
@@420carper6 I'm still upset about how things went, but I've put another 100 hours on the bike, and it hasn't blown up yet. So at least all the epoxy falling apart didn't completely ruin the engine. But there's no way to tell now if it did cause any premature wear on it.
@@VIMotorcycleSchool good to hear it’s ok but what a poor reply from sthealy you did everything right on the instal video so they can’t say that’s user error it’s exactly what I would have done
@@420carper6 Yeah, I'm not sure how I was supposed to do it better than following the instructions to the letter. I won't be buying any of their products again.

I couldn't find any other options for my bike. I did notice a difference, and I didn't do any changes to the tuning. But before you jump in, you might want to look at what happened months later. ruclips.net/video/Kjl1d7MPPN4/видео.html
Same issue with my 450. Touchy throttle at low rpms and lots of clutch required. I need a different bike. I've got the 450xcf. Too much for these areas 5 speed and bad gearing, too much grunt
Yeah, I moved to the 250xcf after trying to race a 500exc. I certainly didn't have the skill to use what that bike had to offer in this terrain. The 250 is a really good bike, and I do love it, but it really isn't meant for the slow stuff.
@@VIMotorcycleSchool I need an XCFW with 6 speeds and mellowed out power delivery, the terrain is just so tight on the island. Either a 350XCFW or 250 XCW
@@joelcr250 I have grown pretty fond of 4 strokes and the lack of tuning required for them, but both of those bikes do seem like good options around here. I know a lot of people that are really happy with their 350s, and at least as many people who are happy with their 250 smokers.

Nice info! did it eliminate some of the engine braking?
