I have to warn you that I have no formal automotive training, and have just learned by breaking stuff. If you can learn anything from my mistakes then great, but you do so at your own risk!

I wish I had seen this video a week ago before I did the bulkhead sealing - I have been trying to find some info on how the BCM/relay box cones apart as, like you, I'm convinced the base seal to the bulhead plays as much or more of a part in leaks than the box lid. I actually sealed the passneger side of my Daughter's "C" a few years ago but could not remember how I split the box. At the time it was just after a very close family bereavement and my brain was in a complete fog. I shouldn't have been doing anything practical honestly, I even installed the battery the wrong way around tied to start it, frying the starter and causing an almost permanent code-free Check Engine Light which has only recently extinguished itself. Yep a very frustrating job. PS just did the carpets today, yuck what a stink. Again far too many parts to remove (handbrake? shifter?) when a bit of forethought could have split them up.
There really needs to be some kind of Nuremberg Trial for car design engineers where they get to spend the latter half of their lives as service mechanics as punishment.

Very good video. You are giving me the confidence to fix things on my jalopy. One question is how do find out the part numbers for ordering?

Thanks 😃, good luck with your jalopy🤞. Part numbers- there used to be a great website for Vauxhall, but it was Russian and has now disappeared. Otherwise just search online and/or ask the dealer. Lots of parts have it printed/stamped on them if you can find it.
      Cheers Larcs 👍

Well you done more of a comprehensive job then me lol, I just replaced the relay/bcm cover and my leak stopped. Perhaps I should go back and do the job proper on a warmer day

Thanks 😃. If the leak has stopped, the leak has stopped. I think the biggest issue on mine was the big lump of seam sealer affecting the rubber seal. Cheers Larcs 👍

My car has the same problem as well. It’s on the driver side (NL). Opel should’ve recalled and repaired ALL of their leaking cars for free! Such a bad design, that it’s embarrassing. I would never ever buy another Opel anymore!
