As a sleep walker id like to add another, runs into a wall and wakes up
As another sleepwalker. I'd like to add another one: Goes to the kitchen and makes Mac 'n Cheese.
In one of the classes i used to teach, i talked about cases/stories of people that could drive while sleeping and wake up somewhere else, or people with sexsomnia that could do sex related conducts like masturbation or touching their partners.
There are many different conducts that can happen while sleepwalking
doing art while sleepwalking is super inetresting to me, it could mean alot of things that we don't understand, and it could push the limits for a person's mind, also imagine finding random art peices around your house when you wake up, and realize that you're the one who did it.
Imagine not realizing you did it and thinking that you have a stalker

It can be terrifying! I only experience a glimpse of what she does- i sleep walk but i occasionally get sleep paralysis where i can feel a hand on my back but i cant move to get up or push away from it. I’d hate to experience her hallucinations, she seems like a brave person!

Maiah’s video gives me such strong paranormal encounter footage type energy- even the dust that floats past the camera seriously reminded me of those old orb footage trends. And seeing how terrified she looked I really do feel for her.

i used to have horrible night terrors, my parents would wake up to me screaming, for me the way to wake me p was to cool me down so they would use ice and put me back to sleep. i hope they don't come back
I’m a sleep talker and at sleep overs I am always nervous to fall asleep and say something embarrassing. I yell and sometimes I hit my walls and I also a couple times I have sleep walked. My mom was so freaked out the first time I sleep walked! I also said some creepy stuff, I think it was “I’m waiting for mommy” to my mom’s face at like 4 am.
Oh, i feel you. But this will happens if i was really exhausted. I would blabbering something in my sleeps and i would remember what happened once i awake. When sleepover, i would whispering to someone that sleep beside me like, "Hey, did you hear that? I heard something." Oh, and this one time was more funny than creepy. When i farted and then make a whole arguments in my sleep lmao

the artist kind of reminds me of when sometimes people with Dissociative Identity Disorder have an alter who can like draw super detailed stuff but the host can’t. it’s like a while different person comes out when he sleeps

I relate to the panicked husband, I had a boyfriend who would frequently get out of bed to "feed the Lama". He would get a random item out of the fridge and then stumble out the door. There were multiple instances where I would wake up a minute too late and would bolt after him to catch him before he reached the intersection. At least he found it very funny when I told him in the morning.

I've never sleepwalked myself, but once fairly late at night my brother came out of his room and tried to leave the house. I happened to be awake playing video games when I should have been asleep, so I managed to stop him, but it still scares me to think what could have happened if he had just walked off into the night.

I'm just realizing I might've had similar experiences to Maiah from when I was younger. I don't know if I do but the way she described what happens whenever SHE sleepwalks reminds me from when I had vivid night terrors/sleep paralysis and it makes me wonder if those were just vivid nightmares/terrors and if I was actually sleep walking.
My friend has horrible sleep paralysis. I feel so bad for her. She doesn’t like talking about it because even just talking about it can trigger it. When she is overtired or anxious it gets triggered. I get anxious about sleep a lot too because I have insomnia and I can’t imagine knowing that if I didn’t get to sleep by a certain time that’d I’d potentially have such a horrifying experience… I’d live my life in fear of sleep
Celina does so much more than just posting funny videos and writing books, she's done fundraising and donations to our local community. I'm glad she's getting the recognition she deserves.

My favorite Celena sleepwalking moment is whenever she farted and went: “who?” I die of laughter every time I rewatch it lol
my grandpa used to be a sleepwalker, there was one time I heard where in the middle of the night, he walked out of his apartment and just stared out the window in the stairwell, when my grandma asked him what he was doing he said "Im looking at the lights, they're so pretty." I also heard about another time when he got up, grabbed his coat (and accidently taking down the entire coatrack while doing so) and after grabbing his coat, he proceeded to try and find his keys for his car. Thankfully he couldnt find his keys and my grandma managed to put him back to sleep. I personally have some experience with sleepwalking, but mainly as a kid. So, for me it's always fun to hear what I accidently do during the night.

The way Celina and Anthony explained how it felt when they we're aware while sleepwalking is EXACTLY how my one bad trip (iykyk) felt. I was aware of what I was doing but not in control at all. Very scary when no one is there to help you or make sure you don't do anything dumb.
I liked the fact that these 3 people have different experiences and are completely different and willing to share themselves so we can get a more complete picture of what it could men to sleepwalk. -Diversity for the win.- Love the variety
It really is so interesting, I've been following celina before her sleep walking vids and it's interesting because cheese and chocolate cause her to sleep walk instead of the other 2 people who seem to have more "normal" sleep walking experiences.

It's actually terrifying how much we don't know about our unconscious brain. Imagine if that man's unconsciousness could produce such brilliant artwork, how much potential we have in our own brains that we haven't tapped into yet? It's scary and incredible

true, some people say they wake up from a nap with a new idea or a solution to a problem. It's interesting because we often think of our unconscious mind like a child, when it's possible that it knows things we don't when we're awake.
I definitely think our normal subconscious is a very different person than our conscious mind is. We know the brain is capable of sectioning off very significant things from itself in order to prevent trauma/try and find order in chaos. So your subconscious could actually be much more capable of certain things than your conscious mind is, but for whatever reason it hides those things away so you can't access it willfully.
When I was around 6 or 7 I sleepwalked into my parents bedroom and said “Hola soy Dora!”

Oof, I relate to her. Use to have really bad sleep paralysis, it's been a while since I've had them. They showed up when I was dealing with being abused and the bad ones came when my mum was in the hospital.
I would 'wake up' early in the morning and someone would just be standing in the corner of my room or I'd just feel this intense feeling of anxiety. And I'd just desperately try to get myself to wake up.
Gosh, it sounds terrifying :(. Im already paranoid enough at night as it is. Heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with that ❤️

@@vamplizzard I get sleep paralysis sometimes but I actually enjoy it. Though I could understand that fear, having that happen while being abused would suck. I've been abused and I've had sleep paralysis but I haven't had both at the same time. I hope things are better for you now!

It's so good to see someone that has experienced the scary side, I feel like a lot of times people just think it's a funny and cool thing. I don't have any sleep disorder nor I'm a sleepwalker but lucid nightmares are kinda what I experienced throughout life and it's really, really scary

I have a friend who sleep walks. They went to they're sisters room and screamed "Where did you put the knife?!" As their dad walked up the stairs. I've also heard them talking in their sleep at a sleepover.
When I was about 7-8 years old I went to a school where most of the kids thought I was really weird so they would run away from me but none of my family knew that. I had history with sleep walking for years but one night I slept walked to my brothers room and stared at him wide eyed and said "why are they scared of me" and left, my brother was terrified and luckily I grew out of sleepwalking the age of 9.
The thought of sleepwalking into traffic is terrifying... that is awful.
I’ve dove down a set of stairs in my sleep, and I’ve put a pot of water on the stove in my sleep which is a fire hazard.
I slept walked across the street, luckily I live on the last street in my neighborhood and it was 3am

I don’t sleepwalk, but I talk, scream, fight, cry and hyperventilate in my sleep. Usually my husband wakes me up or my cat lays down on my chest to calm me down when that happens.

I did this. I actually have a medication to take now because I was physically hurting myself in my sleep. I'd bite myself until I bled, I'd claw at my skin and wake up with huge sores. So, now I take a pill and it knocks me the fuck out. I'm a little harder to wake in the middle of the night but at least I don't have to worry about hurting myself. The whole family knows, just in case of an emergency. I'm glad you have some coping mechanisms though.

I've dealt with sleep issues for as long as I can remember, and have hurt myself plenty of times by yelling and running in my sleep. It's kinda comforting to see others go through similar things, makes me feel less ashamed

I think the saddest thing about Maiah's videos is how scared and confused she looks when waking. I have hypnopompic hallucinations due to narcolepsy, so I often hallucinate while I'm waking up. It was hard to watch the parts in Maiah's videos where she wakes up and cautiously touches the area where her hallucination was, or just looks around in confusion, because I know that exact feeling. It makes you feel like you're going crazy when one second there's something there and the next it's gone, even though it felt real. It doesn't help that it happens as you're in a state of waking up where you're still not fully conscious yet. My heart goes out to her, I hope she finds a way to get more peaceful sleep.
I feel you. For me it’s before I go to bed, which is why it’s hard for me to even go to sleep even when I’m tired at night. Mine are more auditory hallucinations rather than visual. I’m still in the process of a diagnosis because I failed the sleep study. I couldn’t sleep because I kept waking up over and over again and then every time I kept trying to sleep, as I was falling asleep, I would hear screaming, which is one of my hallucinations. Scares me every time and I hate it.
Other times I see dark shadows in the corners of my eyes that flash real quick and I question if I really did see it or not. The scariest is when I can’t move as I’m falling asleep or when my limbs get weak when I feel too strong of emotions. So when I get too scared and my face gets weak or my legs give up and I collapse. It’s scary. I hope I can get diagnosed because it’s taken over my entire life and I can’t drive far in fear of getting a sleep attack and crashing

Yes, this… I have the exact same thing: hypnopompic hallucinations, from my medication though. When I first started having them, they were utterly just… scary and confusing. I’ve grown used to them now so seeing them isn’t as scary or creepy, but I can definitely relate to what Maiah does when she wakes and sees them. It breaks my heart to see that for her it’s so incredibly frightening. I wish her all the best and I hope that she finds peace with them and they will let her wake up much more gently.
Celina is the best host when she’s sleepwalking. Her and her brother sleepwalking together is probably my favorite one.

therapy has helped me get out of a very dark situation and has given me hope again.
I used to have night terrors as a kid, and I'd remember absolutely nothing about those dreams. I remember waking up one time trying to climb up my bedroom wall because I was running away from something, and I remember being terrified and frantic.
At times, my parents used to rock me on the rocking chair for hours, and I'd be just screaming my head off with my eyes wide open and crying. If my parents tried to do anything, they'd become a part of the dream.
Suuper glad I don't suffer from those as an adult.

I lived in a psychiatric hospital my entire childhood till I turned 18 and there was only one patient who won’t diagnosed with anything at all but they slept walked so badly that their parents wanted them safe so they sent them there /:
that's so sweet and so sad at the same time :( they wanted their kid to be safe when they went thru that, but ik how bad of a reputation psych facilities have, so the patient probably dreaded being there. (assumption)

I used to drag my sheets off my bed too, but I'd hide them in random places in the house. When I'd wake up cold, I'd have to go find them

i hope there’s something to help Maiah because that’s sounds horrifying, lately i’ve been having increasingly worse nightmares so i understand how it must be so so much worse for her
I get sleep paralysis but it’s like a lucid dream. I know I’m asleep but it’s still terrifying and I can’t move. So I always try to yell for my bf to wake me up and it comes out as groans. And it freaks him out. He shakes me awake and goes back to bed while I stay up for an hour or more to calm down. Usually I’ll put headphones in and get on RUclips and watch comedy or something light until I feel like the room is safe again from whatever force was in there with me during my terror. Oddly, I’ve never had sleep paralysis/night terror while sleeping alone. It’s only happened while sleeping with diff bfs.
I feel so bad for Maiah, I really do hope that she gets a peaceful sleep soon. It's so sad that we need sleep to live and mostly everyone needs it so she can't control it
My husband experiences this exact same thing as part of his epilepsy. It's terrifying for both him and me. He's woken up in an unknown neighborhood, no shoes, glasses or phone, lost for hours. Screaming, throwing things, crying, cussing. Its a literal nightmare.
My husband has sleep paralysis, night terrors, apnea, phantosmia, synesthesia and family members with epilepsy diagnoses. We're really terrified that he has epilepsy and that it will get worse. He's more afraid to get treatment because his sister had to fight to keep things like her driver's license and job after her diagnosis.
Yeah I get hallucinations after I wake and sleep paralysis sometimes, and I’m getting tested for epilepsy as I’m photosensitive

@Regina Mortuis im getting diagnosed for narcolepsy and I just experience hallucinations before bed, hard times falling asleep at night ( insomnia diagnosed) cataplexy( diagnosed, I’ve collapsed before on a rollercoaster, from fear and when laughing or scared), hard time staying asleep when waking up, wake up multiple times, can dream within five minutes, sleep paralysis before bed, sleep attacks, confusion, lots of repetition that I often don’t remember, vivid dreams where I feel them and can remember the feeling when I wake up, and I don’t move when I’m dreaming so people think i’m dead. It’s a nightmare.
I remember as a kid there were some older boys that lived down the road (I was like 6 he was like 14-16 idrk) and he kept telling me the story of how he would sleep walk in his underwear and end up in a different house. It got to the point where it was creepy enough that my Dan banned him from our yard ( way more significant than you think we were the hangout for the neighborhood and my dad never banned anyone else ever)
