Her candle company is called "Bombaeco", and she’s also opening a 'Candle Bar' here in South Dakota where people can make their own candles. I wanted to share her business because she works so hard for our family, and I’m incredibly proud of her.
That's way better also just keeping your house clean so that you don't have to release any scents into the air works too. I just use a humidifier to detox the air in the house and keep windows open during the summer.

I had to leave a family event because of that. They had 7 candles and 3 plug ins. The candles were also old as hell so the fragrance was harsh. Ite just crazy nobody else felt that way or thought the same. Normal trash bags-often scented-are made of soft plastics, where in phthalates are used to soften and create durability. I’ve had to learn to depend upon industrial trash bags which are clear and less flexible, but generally toxin-free.
I'm sort of a canary in the coal mine because of lifelong issues with chemical sensitivities. Years ago I had to argue with a yoga instructor who insisted he had to have candles burning during class. I couldn't be around those things without getting migraines, but he wouldn't believe they were harmful. I'm so glad that there is now more research and awareness of these toxic substances in so many household items.

Paraffins are a byproduct of oil production. When too much paraffin clogs a well, a lease operator (my work title) must call in a hot oiler truck, which heats a tank of water using propane and pumps it into the well- VOILA! -Former driller/engineer and current lease operator. yes but it is difficult to make them. beeswax absorbs scent oil at a much lower rate than soy or paraffin so it can require 3-5 times as much to get a similar scent throw. not always worth it unfortunately

I think coke zero is a lot worse than regular coke used with cane sugar. All these products that claim to use zero “sugar” are just using another alternative to sweeten it. Its just all a marketing scheme to make you buy the product and make you think you made a better choice but in reality its probably a lot worse or just the same thing using a different type of sugar.
Ethanol produces mostly carbon dioxide and water vapor. As long as the CO2 doesn't build up (I assume these fireplaces have a cat. converter or some way to vent outside) should be fine.
Look for oil lamps...you can make a candle very easily, there are lots of videos on how to make an oil candle It was used in history mainly in the Middle East.
@SavvLass you can try to return them, or I burned the last one I had outside on my porch in the evening in the fresh air just to get rid of it. I feel too guilty donating them or giving them gifts, knowing they are detrimental to your health.

This is why I have stopped buying candles and have started making my own beeswax candles with wood wix. I can’t make my own sports bras to avoid plastics, but I sure can make some candles. It is all about doing what you can to keep you and your family as healthy as possible. Commercialism is killing consumers…that should be a Bath & Body Works scented candles. 😹

Definitely true bcuz I feel it. I feel nauseous when my mother lights a candle. It even affects my dogs, making them feel sick as well!

Ghee candles are also another option. You can add organic essential oils to them to give them a scent.

I figured burning soy isn't ideal, I go for coconut was and/ or beeswax candles and try to avoid the mystery ingredient "fragrance."

White vinegar removes dirt, stains and bacteria and doesnt make the clothes smell weird

Fragrance in general is bad for people with chemical sensitivities. It can cause me dermatitis and throat and nasal irritation.
