Derek is a best! My Apple Watch SE 2 screen cracked and after getting a few quotes from local shop in the Orlando area and watching several repair videos, I decided to send my watch to Derek to get it repaired. One of the videos that I watched was the one Dereck created pointing out all the mistakes other people do when repairing Apple Watches. Having Dereck repair my watch was a no brainer and it was worth it using his mail in repair service and waiting a few extra days to get the watch repaired correctly and professionally.

Hi Derek, I'm a big fan of your work and you've inspired me to start repairing Apple Watches. I am working on a series 6 right now and I've noticed that in this video, you use a metal pry tool to remove the screen, but in others, you use a piece of plastic. I've tried a few pieces of plastic, but I'm finding them either too thick or too thin. Could you recommend any specific pieces of plastic or a brand of metal pry tool that works best for this? Thanks for all the great content, it's been really helpful!

The plastic I used is very specific. It comes from the protective layer to an oca sheet. Buy any oca pack for any model and you will find the plastic I use. The pry tool is also specific, www.mobilesentrix.com/qianli-curved-screen-pry-tool-0-1mm
      Hope this helps!

Congratulations on taking it apart without breaking the screen hahaha, I broke my series 6 doing it the same way, but now I have a question, I am replacing the glass + touch and separately it is working great, but then when I put the LOCA on the touch does not respond, I separate the glass + touch and it works very well separately, what could be the problem? I hope you show me how to do it with the ultra, thanks for the knowledge

sounds like when there is tension on the digitizer flex it doesn't want to work. if you can get another digitizer/glass this will probably solve the issue.

@@FIXDPHONES I will, but I will try make tension in the flex part if is happens also just for testing, thank you very much for the response
