    Was at this game it was amazing. I i lost it when this went down two of the best in the game Tatis Jr. and Julio going back and forth all game putting on a show he had two more amazing catches on top of this great gem too and tatis made a clean snag in right as well such talented ball players definitely seeing this match up again

      It’s pretty similar to taunting. He trolled everybody in the stadium into thinking it was a homer for a few seconds. I thought it was funny and I didn’t have a problem with it, but that could be considered the same thing as taunting

      While the slow roll is considered rude, I've always wanted players to do this more often on catches like that. However, I can see why they don't -- they're always too excited to have caught the ball that they can't keep the poker face.

      The unwritten rule in this case is that it's completely legitimate. You see it happening on the infield, like pretending to throw the ball back to the pitcher, letting the distracted base runner take a step off the base, and then tag him out. Even though this wasn't strategic, it's totally within the guidelines of the unwritten rules, and it's even consistent with the spirit of the game.
