The legend of Big Boss is what draw me to love Metal Gear. This before MGS3. When MGS3 did came out... it became my automatic favorite especially looking at back in the case and notice it takes placed in 60s. Knowing that this was start of Big Boss story. Once I beat it.. I was right and fell in love with it. I beat MGS 3 the most in the series.
The way I see it, Big Boss' 'phantom' died. Meaning, Venom's role as his phantom was over. The man himself survived. My headcanon: Venom is heavily wounded after his fight with Solid Snake. The events of the past flash before his eyes as he lay dying and Outer Heaven explodes around him. As he looks up one final time before falling unconscious, he sees Quiet, for the first time in years. Waking up sometime later, he looks down and discovers that his body is bandaged, his wounds dressed. Quiet walks in the room at that point, and their eyes meet. She smiles at him. "Thank you ... Quiet." She nods, then bends down and whispers in his ear. "I'm not Quiet anymore." The two are later seen riding off into the sunset together, their ultimate fates unknown. (Yes, I know it's cheesy, but for the love of God, the man suffered enough. He deserves a happy ending).
The stuff about Venom Snake surviving the events of Metal Gear is interesting to me. I have to wonder, if Kojima hadn't left Konami, would he have continued the Metal Gear series because I still think there's a bit of story left set between the events of Phantom Pain and Metal Gear and even some stuff from between Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid (maybe remakes of the first two games could help that out a bit).
I doubt it. He actually wanted to end the series with MGS IV but the higher ups wanted to continue the franchise. It sucks even more for us fans that he was forced out before fully fleshing out MGS V.
@@praeliator He's been saying that since Metal Gear Solid. Every MGS game is apparently the last and yet he keeps coming back to make more. The only reason Phantom Pain is the last (for now) is because he actually can't make anymore.
#10- I always thought The Sorrow was referring to Raiden as Big Boss's grandson, since Solidus considered Raiden a son. Maybe this would include other children that Solid, Solidus, and/or Liquid saved down the line (making it his son's sons). Either way, great video!!!
11:58 He’s referring to his cloned “sons”. *your sons sons* = Raiden and the other child soldiers trained by Solidus. “ *This is my son. I taught him everything he knows* “ “ *Jack. My SON* “ “ *I am your foster father and your worst enemy...we’re repeating history, Jack* “ - Solidus

I find it interesting that Jack is a fan of dogs while Venom Snake isn't. Ocelot: I have an eye for 'em. I know at first glance he'd make the right partner for you. Venom Snake: Hmmph. Ocelot: And I figured it was about time he got out into the world. Venom Snake: So you passed him off on me. Ocelot: There, you see? I knew you liked him. Venom Snake: I don't know about that yet. I still think he's trying to figure me out too.
I wouldn't say Venom isn't a fan, he's just not as into them as Big Boss or Solid Snake so he's more neutral towards them. Of course, it doesn't help that Venom barely speaks in the game so we don't know much about him to begin with.

As I said before I certainly hope Venom lived past 1. Venom died that day, and was brought back as the medic who got side lined so long ago? Gives him a chance to live, now that big boss took back his, or rather their, name.

What if Boss references to the fact that Jack was not an ordinary human to begin with. What if he was created by the philosophers, to be The Perfect Soldier? Giving him another paralel to David, and irony that although he hated that his sons were bioenginered - he was too. Or maybe it was exact reason he did? I don't think we'll ever know. And there's one grandson of Big Boss: another Jack. Adopted son of Solidus - Raiden.

The number of parallels between John and my father and grandfather is eerie. Between my grandfather, born in 1935, having about half of John's military history, and my dad having the other half, a love of cigars, and a strong resemblance (he looked like John at each stage of his life and currently looks about halfway between MGSV John and MGS4 John), it honestly makes me feel like a son of Big Boss, especially since my dad trained me in much of what he learned during his time at war. Hopefully the man himself would tell me I'm pretty good.
Kojima really created a villain (MG), killed him, brought him back to life, (MG2:SS) killed him AGAIN, make him a hero you love (MGS3), make him a global legend (MGS:PW), and then made you realize he's truly just a cold bastard who uses everyone for his own personal gain and literally destroys entire identities to further his own ideals (MGSV) but i still like Big Boss though 😭

Great video. By the way this incarnation of Big Boss was based on DC Comics's Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke, the Terminator from the New Earth timeline. Both were born in 1935. Both were trained by highly skilled women who would change the course of their lives. And both were renowned mercenaries for hire who took on impossible missions with low survivability.
@@kinsan89 The Cyborg Ninja skin in MGSV has Snake's face though instead of Frank's, just like someone else who had a right white eye and had Big Boss's face... A subtle tease which should be read between the lines 😉 - P&S
#8. I never really thought of it, but it seems possible that Big Boss's life was extended/saved through cybernetics. So he shares that similarity to Raiden in a way. I wonder if there is a future for Metal Gear/Kojima's works with a new generation of hardware being here. I'm hoping _they_ don't "screw it up". Great video as usual boys. It's been "empty" for a long while concerning our favorite series ever. I'm optimistic and sad at the same time concerning the future (if there is one) of Metal Gear.

People are full of shit when they say one man can't make a difference. Go listen to old war stories from veterans themselves and you will hear about the real "bosses" that existed. There are some real heroes out there.
4:29 - when it rains and the camera shows the Boss, you can see pictures of some people (maybe the Boss and Sorrow!?) as raindrops. I thought I was tripping so I checked other playthrough videos and its true. All the Boss scenes where it rains, there are these raindrop pics, but only if the camera is showing the Boss from the front. After all these years, did I just find something that has been left unnoticed by us all?? Damn, somehow spooky..
Hi! I've been binging your MGSV theories lately and I love them because they fascinate me so much. You should try making a Metal Gear Rising video, would definitely be interesting to see your take on the events of the game
PythonSelkan like always, great work and me praying Hideo Kojima will use your content from your Null aka Gray Fox video for another twist. I can’t stop watching that video because how connect the song Nuclear is connected to Null.” The abandoned child” lyric.
“Your sons sons” leaves it open ended to have a secret clone of solid snake be unveiled in future canon games Solid was the true greatest solider of all time. They would want his genome instead of big boss and since he died at the end of MGS4
For me is Clear that Big Boss was not evil. Unfortunately Kojima is not working with Konami anymore to give a proper ending about the story of the first and second game of the franchise, because there are several possible themes/subjects to talk about: Miller possible betrayal of Venom (he worked with Skullface? I think you guys showed that because of a recording on Paz interrogation), Venom Snake maybe becoming a Villain (I don`t believe that, but..), Big Boss not as a Villain (for the end of MGS4 don`t show a BB as a Mad Dog, I really don`t believe that BB is bad, but we need a retcon for that, because in the first games they called BB as a madman that want a world of endless war.). By the way, excellent content guys!
If you stop to think about it, the first games in the saga in which they make Big Boss look like the devil, have practically no narrative sense on many occasions, I do think that Big Boss did get quite corrupted by misinterpreting the will of The Boss, but not to the point of using children as they show us, and on the other hand with Venom, he is practically an angel even though his appearance shows the opposite, we can even see how unlike "what Big Boss did", when he was on his own, he wanted to gave a normal life with education to the children he rescued, just like when he dismantled all the atomic bombs (the cinematic that appeared a couple of years ago when no online player had an atomic bomb, I don't know if its canon, its a little hard to believe) but hey, Kojima is never going to just sit down and explain everything, so it's more up to the player to fill in those gaps left purposely by Kojima.
"I'm a mushroom," -Solid Snake Source captions at 3:28 😂. Great video 👍 👌 . This is kinda random but I hope we get an msx remake one day and see more solid snake 🐍 . It would clear up some plot points, adds more development into the characters' arc , create a new theme or reinforce older ones and most importantly make another fun game with remimagined boss fights possibly using scrapped ideas like using rats as companions but this time snake's.
Hahah! Thank you so much 😀 Hideo did say Solid Snake's story isn't yet finished, so here's hoping we'll see those MG/MG2 Remakes announced one day 🙏 - P&S
There is a very simple explanation for Metal Gear 2 Big Boss being called a “cyborg” and it’s just that people didn’t know there was a body double and they were speculating as to how he survived. Maybe he did wear some sort of exoskeleton type suit to keep in peak form as he aged.
Indeed there were rumors that Madnar was behind the Outer Heaven Big Boss' survival, yet according to the Official MG Database - it was directly mentioned as being a real project, and not just a rumor. There's still the fact that "Big Boss" had to rescue Schneider and all the mercenaries/resistance members from Outer Heaven's destruction, and we did see Venom (skull) walking in flames in the launch trailer after all... Not to mention that MGSV's credits-timeline states Solid Snake kills "Big Boss's Phantom" (which could just be a reference to Venom's "role") - not necessarily his death as a character... MGSV's twist needs more explaining when it comes to "Outer Heaven", but if the above-mentioned events are completely debunked post-MGSV, then we can't really take anything from the old canon at face value 😕 - P&S
Great work PythonSelkan, this video shows you're a Big Fan of Big Boss and Metal Gear games. Congrats 👏 So sad Kojima senseï had to stop his work on the Metal Gear Saga... Like Venom is related to most of Snakes (Spider-man also had his Venom/Opposite in the Marvel Saga), Venom Snake deserved his own HD trilogy before junction with the very first Metal Gear game (where Solid killed Venom/Big Boss). "Venom" had genes in his blood to become the most feared Snake (a black mamba?) in his own trilogy : "I'm Nuclear, I'm Wild. I'm breaking up inside a heart of broken glass, defiled. Deep inside the abandoned Child" (Mike Oldfield).

@@kinsan89 The Cyborg Ninja skin in MGSV has Snake's face though instead of Frank's, just like someone else who had a right white eye and had Big Boss's face... A subtle tease which should be read between the lines 😉

Boss:I want a world where a soldier doesn’t have to fight….. big boss:YOU SAID YOU WANTED A WORLD WHERE SOLDIERS COULD FIGHT FOR NO COUNTRY RIGHT? Boss:what the fuck no- *gets fucking shot by big boss*
The Santa Claus fact blew my mind
Good video, but Big Boss is never a villain my friend. There's no such thing as his "descent"
What a video, man!
Thank you so much! 🙏

We all know reason 14 is the true reason why Huey was sent out from Outer Heaven. Kaz didn’t like that…
This was the first game I played on ps1 an it was a demo an until now is still my fav game ever thanks man for making content on the lore an game brings me back man
People are full of shit when they say one man can't make a difference. Go listen to old war stories from veterans themselves and you will hear about the real "bosses" that existed. There are some real heroes out there.
Great video. Easy subscription.
Another fantastic video! Keep up the amazing work. I'd really like to see a video explaining the events of portal ops
Love your video. Big boss the legend
This video is amazing thank u so much
Im so glad i that i bought the hd collection before the rights to the music and film expired. About to play 1 through 4 this weekend! Long live MGS!
Damn, somehow spooky..
btw, I just noticed that the same goes for a few others like Volgin and the Sorrow. But always in the rain and when shown from the front!
Noticed them immediately on my first play through a few weeks ago
Great video thank you for great content
Many thanks for your kind feedback! 😊

I give my life. Not for honor, but for you.
I still don't think venom snake is such a bad guy.
Nanomachines, son. 😎
John was already a seasoned baddass before MGS3... and yet he seemed so naive
This only proves that Kojima is a genius.
👌👌
Don't forget the other writers.
Hi! I've been binging your MGSV theories lately and I love them because they fascinate me so much. You should try making a Metal Gear Rising video, would definitely be interesting to see your take on the events of the game
Kept us waiting, huh?
_Loyalty to the end..._
Ocelot can actually be considered as step brother to Big Boss since The Boss was the mother of Ocelot and Figure Mother to Snake
Plot twist he was actually confused and thinking of Venom Snake and knew of his sons and grand sons with Quiet.
Kojima being 90% movies 🎬 is 100% correct
The legendary hero, Big Boss. Kept you waiting huh?
PythonSelkan like always, great work and me praying Hideo Kojima will use your content from your Null aka Gray Fox video for another twist. I can’t stop watching that video because how connect the song Nuclear is connected to Null.” The abandoned child” lyric.
I know it’s old thing now but Can you make long videos like this one, I really enjoyed it and thank u for this masterpiece 🙏
“Your sons sons” leaves it open ended to have a secret clone of solid snake be unveiled in future canon games
Solid was the true greatest solider of all time. They would want his genome instead of big boss and since he died at the end of MGS4
10# probably refers to Raiden since Solidus calls him his son a few times

Great video!
"I'm a mushroom,"
-Solid Snake
Source captions at 3:28 😂.
Hahah! Thank you so much 😀 Hideo did say Solid Snake's story isn't yet finished, so here's hoping we'll see those MG/MG2 Remakes announced one day 🙏

@@PythonSelkan thanks for reply!
MGSV's twist needs more explaining when it comes to "Outer Heaven", but if the above-mentioned events are completely debunked post-MGSV, then we can't really take anything from the old canon at face value 😕

*"You're pretty good"* 🙏
Thanks so much! 😊🙏
That’s right Santa deniers, Big Boss believes in him!
Wait a sec... does that mean Venom Snake is still around? Oh, I see. NEVER BE GAME OVER
Oh boy yeah
9:43 didnt bigboss lose his right eye looooong before op intrude??
Python write a prequel to the events of the game during napoleonic wars
Great work PythonSelkan, this video shows you're a Big Fan of Big Boss and Metal Gear games. Congrats 👏
So sad Kojima senseï had to stop his work on the Metal Gear Saga...
So Madnar brought Venom back?
