I am watching this because I am going through a tough time deciding between going to np or pa school. I am working towards my BSN so it would make sense for me to go to np school. But I also took all of my pa school prerequisites before working towards my BSN. I spoke to my healthcare provider, he is a nurse practitioner, and he advised me to go to np school after getting my BSN (advised me to work at least 3-4 years as an RN before going for my masters) and explained some other reasons that did resonate with me. The biggest green flag I see is that you are able to work as an RN while completing np school. But then people complain about the difference in training and knowledge gained through both graduate programs and I am crying in the inside because I don't know how much of that is actually true or just silly nonsense. I've been binge watching videos of people who are going through np school or that also chose one over the other. Sorry for my rant, this felt like a safe space and hopefully someone else also relates to my current situation
Girl, I am in FNP school as well… second semester here. Typhon is A LOT and I know how stressful logging every SOAP note can be. Keep it up!
ok you know the struggle 😅 it really is time consuming! are you working full time?
Yes! Working full-time as a travel nurse so I can pay off my loans. Barely have enough time for self-care but here we are. Rooting for you! @@safiyamarz
Wow you are nearly done! And doing school as a momma - you should be so proud of yourself! New sub here👋
thank you so much! she's definitely my motivation 🤍
Congratulations! I start my last quarter at the end of February! I just finished my clinicals for this quarter yesterday. We're at the end of the tunnel 😭🙌🏾 good luck with everything!
yay congrats to you too!! we worked hard for this!
@@safiyamarz we definitely worked hard!

Congrats on your last semester! I am actually an FNP-S in my last semester as well. I would love to know more about the “cheat sheet” you created for clinical.
congrats to you, too! we're almost to the finish line 🙌🏽 so I created these templates on the app "GoodNotes". I basically write down all of the common diagnoses I see during clinicals and then write out the patho, CP, PE, lab interpretations, treatment/meds to prescribed.
I also made other cheat sheets that are specific to follow up apts/sick visits. things that I should be asking/following up on every time, like with diabetic or HTN follow ups
I need your level of organization! Can’t believe you are almost done! 🎉
feels like I've been in school for ages 😂
where did you study to become rn?
where did you study np?
Such a motivating video 💪🏾
thanks girl 🫶🏽
Congratulations on your achievement
What university do you go to?
Nice jazz intro.
You go momma ❤ dedication and all
Enjoyed the video ❤I can so relate my baby is 3 months old and I’m in fnp school and working full time still trying to balance everything
thank you 💗 it really is not easy!
Congrats 🎉
thank you 🤍✨
Hey 👋 would you mind sharing how you found a preceptor?
Hi! I was able to find preceptors by just emailing a bunch of practices that were in contract with my school. I’d follow up with a phone call or follow up email
How much time you spend in clg per day in np school can you please tell me
I'm in an online program- takes up around 4-5 hours of each day. semesters are based on a part time or full time track
